I read a recommendation about this and thought I'd buy it. I love my other 'Joseph Joseph' items so assumed this would be a success too. I used it tonight for garlic (I know it's a zester, but the article suggested that it was also good for ginger and garlic). My finger is now in a plaster...it's lethal. Probably fine if you're holding a whole lemon, lime or orange but otherwise I'd be very, very careful! Anyone want to buy a zester? Only used once.

I am a gourmet cook and I zest lots of lemons and limes, and this zester works great! I love how it collects the zests in the plastic holder so that it doesn't make a mess. So happy to add this to my collection of kitchen tools!

This product is great, excuse the pun! What info does not emphasise is that you can slide protector onto reverse side and catch zest or parmesan in it rather than spraying it around. Bought having used a friends which is best way for online purchases as some gadgets disappoint but not this one.

Super mini grater for all sorts jobs. Bought it as an addition to its larger brother and both are essential parts of our food preparation.Convenient protective cover is really good for the grating surface and the handle gives a good grip.Easy to wash.
I love this product. The handle is perfect size to grip even for the smallest of hands Grates hard cheese perfectly. Not recommended for soft cheese too fine
Handi Zest Mini Zester with Cleaning Blade Not so much a blade as a plastic scraper that easily pops out. There are better zesters out there without this troublesome little scraper.
Very useful kitchen gadget - and looks nice too . I find it brilliant for grating lemons and limes and little squares of chocolate .Comfortable to handle and easy to clean . It has an inbuilt scraper which clears the food quickly from the grater and a slip-on plastic sheath which protects it when not in use. I saw it being used on a TV cooking programme and was delighted to find it in John Lewis after unsuccessfully searching for it in local shops .
A fantastic little zester which is easy to clean and comes with a protective sleeve.It is sharp, easy to hold safely and doesn’t take up much room in the drawer.A ‘must have’ if your cooking from scratch
This grater is so so good! It's neat in size and very handy for those little bits you want grating. It's super sharp which makes it super quick and the slider thing ensure you capture all the bits. Just watch your fingers! Cleans easily and takes up little space. Handle and grater itself are just the right size, a nice design.
This is a hugely disappointing purchase. It does a terrible job of zesting and is quite dangerous in that it requires a lot of effort to gain any zest and risks getting fingers in the process! (As happened to my partner). When I used it, I ended up with pith as the teeth are so awkwardly sharp but ineffective. This is pretty much want you do NOT want from a zester. It is going to cost me money to send it back as it doesn’t do as promised. Terrible product!
