I love the compact design of this scale but that’s it. I’ve had it for several months now and have been using it more recently for baking classes I’m taking. And that’s when I noticed that is unreliable. It’s very frustrating to try to measure specific ingredients only to have the measurement change in the process.. from grams to ml to something else. Infuriating when you have to dump the contents of your bowl and start over. The tare function doesn’t seem to work well with heavy objects, like kitchen aid stand mixer bowls or Pyrex glass bowls. Several times, my unit has errored out and forced me to turn it off then on again. Unfortunately I would not recommend this scale and I have ordered another.

Do not buy this product. I received one as a gift, and after a time of conventional use, the digital read-out would only display an “EEEE” message. I replaced the battery with a new one, but still only got an “EEEE” message. I wrote the company several times to ask what the “EEEE” meant and what I could do about it, but never got a response. I see other reviewers indicate having the same problem. Why pay for a product that seems designed for obsolescence, produced by a company that is uncommunicative and provides no on-line manual?

I purchased this scale as a portable scale for calorie counting as most portable scales have a paltry weight limit <1lb. Whereas this has an 11lb limit. This is the only scale that fit that requirement. But as an overall kitchen scale is not great. Because of its three leg design it’s not very stable to use the display. It suffers badly from weight creep (you add a little bit of food and the weight stays the same, but in reality the scale is resetting the weight so your measurements are super inaccurate). Looks cool, but wouldn’t buy again.
