Having looked at a few coverstitch / coverhem machines online I decided on this one. Many of the demos on youtube for the other machines did not impress me with the sound of the machine and the many complaints of skipped stitches. This is my 4th Juki and I'm happy to have added it to my collection of an F600, TL2010Q and MO654DE.

Having used a domestic serger for over 30 years, I wanted to step up my knit-sewing game with a coverstitch machine. Very pleased with the Juki so farââŹâ-seems very solid, easy to follow manual, IââŹâ˘ve only played with it for a few hours, but have it threaded & test stitches.

This is my second cover stitch machine. My previous one was a brother. There is no comparison between the two. Juki is by far superior. It is smooth and runs faster than the brother but there were no jump stitches even going over 5-6 layers of Lycra on the hems of my outfits and is very easy to use. The threading is a little different to other machines. The lower looper thread goes along the inside of the left hand side of the machine around a tension wheel but the instructions on the machine are very easy to follow when threading. This is definitely going to be my new work horse. I use Lycra to make my outfits and this machine was already set up to do this I didnt have to alter the tension wheels at all. The sewing bed is a little smaller than the brother but as I only use this for hemming I didnât find it a problem. It is plenty big enough for that. The brother does have the cool feature of being able to sew in the round just like on a sewing machine but I soon got used to using this machine without that feature. I sew about 3-4 days a week and I am an experienced seamstress.

This is a great little machine, only received mine 24 hours ago, was really nervous about buying online but the machine came fully threaded and it was easy to see how to thread it. There are lots of youtube clips made by Juki that have lots of detail on this machine. Was also surprised how âsolidâ this machine feels, what I mean by this is it doesnât feel cheap at all. When in operation it is also very quiet.
I've been wanting a coverstitch machine for a while, but was intimidated by the buzz of mastering the learning curve to use one. However this machine sewed a perfect coverstitch right out of the box. I highly recommend it!
I was on the fence about a coverstitch for years, then I heard that Juki were working on a domestic model, I knew it would be great being a Juki. But it still took me a few years to purchase, not sure why I was frightened but Greg's video's and Juki convinced me. Unpacked it, threaded the machine, watched the video again and off I went. Can't believe this machine is so very very good. It sews very stretchy fabric with universal needles. Didn't have to buy any stretch needles. I just love it and I had a Babylock Coverstitch a few years ago and the Juki is much better and half the price. I love it !!
I had never seen or used a cover stitch before but working more with knits I wanted a professional finish. It's such a nice machine and I love how it looks. Easy to use, heavy quality built and quiet and smooth compared to my old overlocker. Fast delivery and came already threaded up which i just loved!
It works great and is very quiet and durable! Itâs finish is top notch, and everything feels very durable! I would recommend to anyone!
