Addition to my previous review. this thing just gets worse and continiously blows out in the absence of ZERO BREEZE! the gas flow knob has now broken and despite your best guesses u have no hope of predicting a temperature. can i return it after this time? im going to try. this is a joke! Just dont!

Look, it does what it's supposed to and can get you some good results in specific use cases. The trouble is that the range of temps it can hit is quite limited. So if you need a slow smoke at anywhere below 100°C, it won't go that low on the minimum setting. Same with anything above 140°C. You get what you pay for. :)

Starter works to light but flame does not stay on. Stays on for a minuteTried cleaning does not helpWould not recommend it
bought this 4 months ago. i did see the one or two reviews referring to the flame blowing out in the slightest wind, but thought the positive reviews outweighed this. well now i can say, HELL NO! i think any crappy results u achieve are no doubt down to Coles/Woolworths rubbish meat quality, so head to a real butchers that actually has pork. but if u want to spend an hour every cook continuously restarting a flame that goes out inexplecibly, then by all means purchase this smoker. i cant see any solution other than i have done, cutting up coardboard and attaching it to the legs to prevent any semblance of a breeze getting to the underside and blowing the flame out, this has helped but it still happens! strangely after a while (an hour?) it will stay lit in the same ... Morebought this 4 months ago. i did see the one or two reviews referring to the flame blowing out in the slightest wind, but thought the positive reviews outweighed this. well now i can say, HELL NO! i think any crappy results u achieve are no doubt down to Coles/Woolworths rubbish meat quality, so head to a real butchers that actually has pork. but if u want to spend an hour every cook continuously restarting a flame that goes out inexplecibly, then by all means purchase this smoker. i cant see any solution other than i have done, cutting up coardboard and attaching it to the legs to prevent any semblance of a breeze getting to the underside and blowing the flame out, this has helped but it still happens! strangely after a while (an hour?) it will stay lit in the same conditions that the flame could not survive previously, but prior to this undefinable point it will just continuously blow out. maddening!!one point i might add. the flame does not exude fully from the rear to the front of the smoker. more like from the rear to 70% to the front. so there is a temperature differential from rear to the front, so keep this in mind when cooking. yeh naaaaahhh!
I bought this smoker today, assembled it very easily and completed the “seasoning” burn before changing out the wood chips and water and loading up a butterflied leg of lamb. Initial impressions are very good and I will review again in a few weeks once I have had a chance to fully test it- a decent size brisket is next!Unlike some of the reviews I had no trouble with getting the unit up to 300f for seasoning it and once it settles down it seems easy enough to regulate the temp. The only negative at this point is that it chews through the wood chips like crazy. Smokes very well for about the first 30 mins then dies off and the chips are all done. Have replaced them once and that may be enough in terms of smoke. Will see how we go. May pre soak them next time to see ... MoreI bought this smoker today, assembled it very easily and completed the “seasoning” burn before changing out the wood chips and water and loading up a butterflied leg of lamb. It’s a awesome product smokes the meat perfectly
First one wouldn't stay lit. Returned for a second one and thus one stayed alight for about 10 minutes before going out. Four hours trying to keep it going. It's going back for a refund.
Constantly goes out. Pointless exercise. Complete waste of time and money.
Mean as for the hangi and bullet smoker for brisket
