Yes this stereo has a good colour display (But) I cannot see the display in any sunlight it is extremely dim. No clock while using Bluetooth. Sound quality is very bad the bass arcs out the speakers and the treble is 2 high in any setting. Volume is only 7 out of 10 compared to the pioneer stereo version. I recommend to buy the pioneer mvh stereo. Disappointed.

Bought this recently for an '03 forester that only had a CD/radio, not even an MP3 capable CD :-( I just wanted BT and MP3/Flac etc playback, The ability to take and send calls is a bonus.I can't stand radio with the repetitive playlists, idiot presenters and wall to wall ads. My Android fone has hours of my music on it, so why not use that?In case anyone's interested, the Aerpro APP8JVC5 adapter harness for the earlier KD-X472BT model that fits the Subaru Aerpro APP090 DIN adapter harness works perfectly with this head unit. Very easy plug and play

I don't have anything to compare it to considering its the first new car radio I've had and installed but I love the sound and the exterior microphone clipped to my dash giving a nice call quality. Lots of functions to specify taste. I use BT mostly, it connects automaticly after initial connecting. Love that I can change the face colour lighting.After referring to the harnesses website (aerpro) with the radio model number, I purchased the jvc harness and corresponding car harness (I have an old 1994 Subaru impreza), purchased all 3 items from REPCO (who delivered them), installed it myself saving $200 and never left the house. Honestly it was very easy. *Female who can use Google*
Great little unit with associated wiring looms makws it a plug and play in seconds. Yes the fitting takes a little longer. Easy to use head unit with an incredibly good sound through standard speakers. The BLUETOOTH system works fantastic with my Andriod smart phone. For a small cheap device that's simple to use, you can't go past this! :)

Fitted to old Triton ute single cab, replaced stock 4" speakers and put in some lower wattage 6.5" JVC speakers in cabin side panels just behind seats. The unit has an easy menu to use, which makes it easy to custom the tone controls to suit your tunes. Or just choose a preset, they are good as well. Its connects BT easily to iphone and ipod. Have the phone BT in and a microphone on the sunshade. Good value for money, easy to use, looks pretty good, sounds good without amp. I have another one with 6 x 9" JVC speakers, the lower wattage variety and it sounds excellent. Clear sound, heaps volume happy with sound. Fitted myself.
I bought this to upgrade the technology in my 1960s mini. It was on special, so great value. It has more features than i need, but it was pretty simple to install and set up. Bluetooth was the only reason i upgraded and it is super easy to hook up and use new devices.
I would love to say this unit worked great. Unfortunately I haven't got that option as unit never worked despite many efforts to install it. Obviously it is either a faulty unit or was damaged during delivery.
