I also own that fragrance and I sometimes find it TOO smoky/spicy and prefer this one over it, as I still get a little spice and sweetness without the heavy, smoky bonfire and burnt marshmallow that Fireplace gives.FINAL THOUGHTS:I love it! I found this perfume to be a really pleasant surprise for me as someone who doesn't gravitate toward gourmands or vanillas all that much. I like that it's pretty and interesting on its own but I look forward to layering it as well, so I think it's also a really versatile perfume. Love the delicate balance of sweet vanilla and spice. Really happy I picked this one up!P.S. The color is much darker in person, it's very pretty. I don't spray this on my clothes.

It’s definitely a warmer, deeper, richer, more mature vanilla that I love. The notes of vanilla orchid, creamy jasmine, and Brazilian tonka give it that creamy sweet vanilla scent while the musk, patchouli, amber, and brown sugar notes give it that woody, spicy depth that really brings it all together. I love this on its own but I love this especially as a great layering scent. Vanilla layers well with just about every scent and that’s especially true about this. To me at first it was a little bit off since I am not a huge fan of overly sweet scents. The initial spray I knew I would not like it. Only to my surprise that when it mellowed a little bit it was not inducing headache. But I knew I would not wear it alone. It lacks depth and complexity in my opinion. It resembles other scent sprays and a little bit of air freshener vibes. Used alone, it lasted me a good 4-6 hours. Wore it on a humid day and for me it was a little cloying in the beginning. For reference, a few of my favorite vanillas are: JHAG Vanilla Vibes, The 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods, and Burberry Goddess! Everything I have tried so far from Kayali has been exceptional, and I’m looking forward to trying more of their wonderful fragrances! I also love the chic packaging and lovely diamond shape of the bottle… it looks beautiful sitting on my shelf!
I looked into buying this for a long time but it was always sold out. I finally got my hands on a bottle, it definitely wasn’t love at first sniff. When first sprayed it has a very heady boozy vanilla scent which was quite medicinal smelling and at first I wasn’t convinced I would like it. As it dried down it started smelling as if spice bomb and coco Chanel mademoiselle had a baby and I like that, spicy and a little bit sweet/florally. Now that it has completely dried down I understand why people compared it to vanilla cookies, it’s such a beautiful scent once it has time to actually dry on your skin. I layered it with invite only and wasn’t too impressed by that. I will be trying it with burning cherry and see how that goes. Lasting power: for me it has lasted very well. I sprayed it on at about 10am and it’s now 1pm and I can still smell it reasonably strongly on my clothes and skin. Personally I think it’s a pretty strong perfume and doesn’t need to be any stronger despite what some reviewers have said. Also, would like to point out that the atomiser seems to be a lot different from my other kayali fragrances, it comes out in short bursts rather than longer sprays like my other ones. It’s not an issue but I thought it was a little odd. As for colour, mine was a purple colour like others have described but I done a little research and apparently it’s normal for true vanilla fragrances to change colour. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the initial opening scent, hopefully it changes the more I use it.
