Finally a walking shoe! I've been walking in running shoes for decades and this shoe is so much better! Worth the price. It propels me forward with zero loss of energy. When walking in running shoes it seems like some energy/motion is reduced with each step but these shoes do a great job of rocking and keeping that forward motion going. I've been struggling with some gait issues and these shoes really help to get that full range of motion. Cranked out 5 miles in my first walk in these with a lot less fatigue then typical. I really hope this type of shoe catches on as they'd be perfect for long hikes (Altra please make something comparable!)

This shoe is a nice departure from the leather-clad boots we tend to see from KEEN. While those are great and serve their purpose well, this offers a more sneaker-like fit and styling. They are comfortable and fit well straight out of the box and immediately made me want to walk. The upper is constructed well and is breathable, midsole cushioning feels great, and the sole is lugged enough for pavement or trails. While it may take a few wears for people unfamiliar to get used to the curve technology, anyone that is a regular user of running/trail shoes will find it easy to adopt. Can't wait to see future WK models and where KEEN goes with this new line.

Have to update my review now that I've been wearing these for a few weeks. I kept these, as all the reviews mentioned taking time to get used to these. I never got used to them.Unfortunately, I can only walk 1/4 the distance I walk in any other shoes because these cause a fierce burning pain in the bottom of my feet. Never experienced this with any other shoe, including other keens. DO NOT buy these shoes unless you try them out for an extended period of time first.I'm not stuck with a $150 pair of shoes that is completely unwearable. No idea how other people are not having issues.
I've never had a shoe that was too thin. Too narrow or too short, sure, but these are way too tight vertically. If you wear thick socks or have insoles, you won't be able to wear these shoes. Even with super thin dress socks I can barely get my feet in these. I own several pairs of Keen shoes, and if anything, they're usually roomier than other brands, so this was a bit of a surprise. These are decent shoes, but fit weirdly. They also add about an inch to your height compared to other shoes, so be prepared.

I walk a LOT. So when one of my favourite footwear manufacturers put out a walking specific shoe, I had to try themThese shoes are wild. They have a rocker style that takes some getting use to, but once I got used to the stride, I love themNot only can I walk faster, but I feel like I’m using muscles i don’t normally use are getting a workoutI sense I will love these shoes for a long time.
I am an 63 year old man that is over weight, 6 feet and 300 pounds and started walking with a friend to help my health and hopefully lose some weight. My athletic branded walking shoes wore out quickly and needed a new pair, always loved my Keen hikers and sandals, so I gave them a try. Wowed, they make walking so much easier, and very comfortable. Great arch support, and cushioning. I now can walk faster and farther than in my old shoes, with fewer aches and pains, once I am done. Keep it up Keen great job on your new walkers.
I’ve put nearly 50 miles into my WK400s and the experience has been transformative. At first you put these on and realize, these aren’t made for standing around. The curve technology encourages you to start moving forward and once you do, your momentum keeps you in a great flow throughout your walk. For an activity I’ve been lucky enough to do my whole life, this made something that felt like second nature even better.
I can't run anymore because of bad knees, so I was anxious to see how this new, innovative shoe might bring me closer to moving forward outdoors. I love the way the curve and the internal plate work to propel me forward - without impact. While I still miss running, this shoe brings me closest to what I can achieve within my limits. Walking is actually fun with the WK400, and gives me a pretty good workout, too!
