I bought this mixer because of the name Kenwood. Awful from the start. Wobbles. The bowl kept falling off. The mixer could not even mix the smallest amount of bread dough without struggling. The k mixer attachment really cheap as is the dough hook. I couldn't leave it unattended for a minute as it would move round worktop. Good name bad item.

Had the Kenwood Chef for many years but I now have limited space in a small kitchen. This mixer seems to be very efficient and not unstable(as some reviews I had read). It has done everything that I have required and compared to the Larger Chef it is so much easier for me to handle. The only thing I miss is not having the choice of a Ceramic mixing bowl as there doesn't seem to be one made to fit. Up till now I am very pleased with the machine.

The built in scales are brilliant as they not only save space it makes it very convenient when baking. The two bowls are invaluable when batch baking. This was brilliant for making bread and adding a splash of water or flour. This is definitely a lifelong friend in my kitchen especially as time goes on for cakes, puddings and breads. The possibilities for making homemade food are endless, it is worth every penny.

Pros: I really like the weighing facility and the count up timer. Having the two bowls means I can keep one just for whisking egg whites. Also I can use all my old attachments on the mixer.
The original and still the best. Although a little smaller than the Chef, this is large enough for most domestic cooking situations with its 4.3 litre bowl. It feels robust and is a sleek design. I bought it as 'factory refurbished' for about 40% less than the best price for a 'new' one, but it was in fact new, and totally unused. The box was a bit battered but it was so well packaged that the mixer and all attachments were safe and sound. I would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of buying one.
Pros: Its just a brilliant mixer and we use it all the time - bread making and cakes its the best we've ever had and the two bowls are a fantastic addition.Cons: When mixing, there is more movement between mixer and the stand than we expected, and the clear plastic splash guard falls off is tricky to connect and not aways secure.
