I hand wash it, but it’s so easy to rinse because it doesn't get too messy. The black pusher- I just wipe it with a moist paper towel and rinse the other clear parts. Then air dry.The cups take the longest to clean especially if you have something sticky like chocolate syrup in it. As sometimes it settles to the bottom during freezing (which is the top of the ice puck). I give them a good scrub with my nylon scrubby soap brush. Then they are clean. Not a big deal. You can get "knock off" cups on amazon and I believe you can buy more from Kitchenaid. So, I now have 8 cups to experiment with different flavors. Thus far, I haven’t made the same flavor twice.The cup molds hold 175 mL of liquid max, which is about 5.5 oz or 11 Tbs/ 33 tsp, which is near to ¾ cup. I haven’t had any issue opening them after freezing. But sometimes the puck takes some extra finessing to get it to release from the cup mold. I haven’t had to put them in warm water yet though. They usually come out just fine from squeezing the sides and placing them on a plate and pressing the bottom.The attachment is semi loud, but it is not nearly as loud as a blender or food processor. But it’s done quick, so it doesn't really matter.So far, my main complaint is the fact I keep getting brain freezes. I’ve had this attachment for about a week, maybe less.As of now I have used this attachment more than the mixer itself. I have a bowl lift mixer btw.
