I bought 3 of these and regret it as unfortunately they aren’t great at all. They are incredibly noisy when you drink from them. They make a squeaking noise that is beyond anything that would be considered ‘acceptable’. It’s enough to make people turn and look. Also, it doesn’t keep liquids cold for very long. I’ll be purchasing different water bottles that are more like a thermos so they will keep water cool even when outdoors in the warmth.

The loop tops combined with the carabiner are perfect for taking on outdoor adventures, or just simply a day at work or the office. I graduated from the 2.0 sport cap to the 3.0 and it definitely makes a difference (i.e. no more crazy, turkey call sounding chirps and the silicone spout is much more comfortable on the teeth and mouth!). I love that this bottle can be opened one-handed, dishwasher-safe, fits in a normal cupholder, and looks great BUT it makes a loud honking sound whenever you drink from it.I realise that an air inflow valve is required to equalise pressure, but I didn't expect it to be so loud that it would wake up people sleeping in the room next door.There are instructions that apparently help lessen the squeak, but they haven't helped me out at all.

Tough, durable, easy to clean, the Klean Kanteen Classic is a winner. Keeps your cool drinks cold. You don't need to worry about unscrewing a bottle top, just drink straight from the sports cap. It comes in a range of bright colours. I love that it is difficult to dent when you accidentally drop it! Other stainless steel bottles tend to dent thus making them unstable when you place them on a bench, but it's very difficult to bend the Klean Kanteen Classic out of shape. A highly recommended product.
I have been using my Klean Kanteen 27oz everyday for the last 4 years. It still manages to not impart any flavours when I choose to flavour my water, remain easy to clean (I just chuck it in the dishwasher) and most importantly it’s reliable surviving multiple drops, dings and scratches.I have tried numerous water bottles in the past but they kept failing after 1-2 year.Only regret was getting the Matt black, I would recommend getting a bright colour or even just silver as the Matt black has a tendency of hiding in bags or disappearing when your in a rush to get ready for work.
Added my third KK in the 27oz size with the sport cap to my collection. I own 2 of the stainless steel variants with the original sport cap and this newest bottle in black with the new sport cap. These bottles are tough. The wide mouth aids in drinking, adding ice cubes and cleaning. i have never had an issue with cross-threading the cap unlike my Sigg bottle. Stainless steel is tasteless and you can boil water in this bottle if the need arises. The black finish on the newest one seems very durable and the high gloss finish is quite nice. The newer sport cap is an improvement. The rubberized nozzle strikes me as much nicer and from what I can see shouldn't get roughed up from teeth marks. One of the very few times a product description has been absolutely accurate in my experience. These guys have mastered the water bottle. It's done, no need for further innovation. It doesn't leave smells; only a quick wash can wipe away weeks or months of funk from leftover liquid. It can take a beating whether you're on the train, at the gym, or on a hike, and still not lose quality. The vacuum ones are just flawless and perform exactly as they ought to. Honestly one of the most simplistic and well designed products I've ever had the pleasure of using.And to show my dedication, I've been using my klean kanteen since the summer before my freshman year of college - 7 years ago. Still in excellent condition. Give these folks a medal
Possibly my error for not reading that this canteen does NOT keep water cool like the insulated camelbak. Also you cannot get enough water due to the odd valve arrangement. because it is so close to the drinking spout you actually swallow more air than water. you quickly realise that you need to slow down. Not happy with this quite expensive water bottle. Sorry no go.
Have purchased this product before with no issues however this time all 3 lids make an incredibly loud noise when drinking to the point no one in my family will use them out of the house. I have tried adjusting the air valve on the back with no success. After doing some research it would appear I was sold old stock of the lids as only the early ones are reported to make this noise although I don’t know how anyone ever thought it was acceptable. Apart from this I like the bottles but will now have to look for a different manufacturer unfortunately as it’s to expensive to risk getting the bad lids again.
The lids STILL make noise when you drink. I had this issue a few years back and they said it was a manufacturer defect so I thought by now it would have been sorted but no. I would avoid this bottle if you are in an office setting unless you want to be the talk of the office.
