Kristin Ess Style Reviving Dry Shampoo 113 G

This is the BEST dry shampoo I have ever tried!! If you are frustrated with dry shampoo never truly working on your hair, please give this a try!! I’ve tried popular high-end brands and a fair share of cheaper brands, but nothing compares to this product. My hair tends to look very oily one day after wash. I could never go more than 2 days without washing my hair until now. The Kristin Ess dry shampoo seems to soak up any excess oil without drying out my hair, and lasts all day! Best I've tried and best price!

This reminds me of the Living Proof dry shampoo. The smell is really nice for me. Better than the smell after a blow out. Soaks up oil nicely and provides volume without my hair feeling weird like Bastiste does. You know what I mean. No oil, provides volume and leaves hair feeling soft! Took one star off because the bottle I received doesn’t dispense well. It just shoots out air and not the product, even after shaking it.

Can't go without it

I've repurchased this so many times so I figured I should leave a review. I begrudgingly used Batiste and Not Your Mother's for the longest time, since those were the top rated dry shampoos. This one is so much better. It doesn't leave a white cast (I have black straight hair), doesn't make your hair feel crunchy, and absorbs oils really well. This is my favorite dry shampoo, period! My only complaint is that it doesn't come in larger sizes, since I tend to go through a bottle in under a month with regular use. It's a bit pricier but totally worth it

Finally found a dry shampoo

Love this dry shampoo. My hair gets oily really fast and with some training and this dry shampoo, I can now go 4 days without washing my hair. I've never been a dry shampoo person because I didn't like the way it made my hair look or feel. This doesn't make your hair feel weird or stiff. It does have a strong scent so if you're sensitive to smells, fair warning. I spray it on at night and in the morning it's done it's job and I just brush the rest through to spread out any areas that still look white. I've tried the one for brown hair as well but it will get all over your hands and is just not for me.

I am so bad at dry shampoo. I have THICK blonde/processed hair but thin strands and pretty oily. I get oil buildup around my ears and temples within about 30 hours after a wash. So I was daily… I have been trying to join the dry shampoo band wagon but have not ever been able to find the right formula. I’ve tried Batiste, Not Your Mothers, Dry Bar, Living Proof and probably any other big name you can mention. I also have tried them repeatedly and consistently throwing in multiple variables to give everything a fair shot. Anytime I’ve been able to tolerate a dry shampoo I have had to do an up style that day and usually feel and look disgusting by midday. Or I feel like I use so much that I’m literally leaking white powder all day. I’ve also felt like some dry shampoos have made my hair feel dry and brittle. This stuff smells good. It’s a light scent that lasts. And it is literally perfect for me. I used it a morning before work for the first time and was literally shocked as I thought I could literally leave my hair down.. it looked freshly washed. I was scared at first and wore it up then tried it again a few days later. My hair literally looked freshly washed and clean even after almost 48 hours. It’s amazing. It makes my hair feel soft and clean. No powder no sticky and no build up feeling. My only complaint is this tiny bottle. I think I went through a full size bottle in 2 weeks, only using it maybe twice each week. And it’s already empty enough that I need to purchase another. This needs to come in a bigger can with more product inside.

Great product, but the packaging is faulty

Normally I love Kristin Ess products, but this was a huge let down. The actual product is great. It left my hair feeling soft and clean, like I just washed it. The scent is nice, and lasts throughout the day without being too much. Performance wise, I would say this is very comparable to the Living Proof dry shampoos. The packaging, however, is where I had issues. Maybe I got a faulty one, but after just a month mine won’t spray anymore. I checked to make sure the nozzle wasn’t clogged, and no matter how clean I kept it, it just wouldn’t spray anymore. I had to toss it with 3/4’s of the product left in it. Hence, that’s why I gave three stars instead of 5.

It Stains

It works great for oily hair and lasts a while. However, it STAINS. Turns my scalp brown, I have dark brown hair and the spray is more of a lighter brown. When I scratch my head it turns my nails brown and looks dirty. Be careful when spraying because it will turn everything brown and will get on everything. It also makes my hair stiff and hard. When showering you have to triple scrub to get all of the product out. It also makes my hair feel stiff. I am going to stick with the regular dry shampoo from now on.

Love the smell!

I dye my hair dark, and most dry shampoo's show up white on my hair (as expected). This does not though! I've also tried the dark hair Bautista spray, but it looks like a different color of dye on my roots. This one you just can't tell it's there, which is nice! I love the smell. It's not as "powerful" at getting rid of grease as some that I've used. It smells lovely in my opinion. Smell lasts all day too! Would rate 4.5/5 if I could because it does still work pretty well. I will purchase again.

Works but leaves a lot of residue

As far as dry shampoo goes, this works pretty well for me. It does have a very strong fragrance in it so I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone that is sensitive to things like that. My biggest complaint is that it leaves a crazy amount of brown residue. Even after brushing it out and leaving it for the day, if I touch my hair my fingers will be brown. When I wash my hair after using this product, the water turns brown like I'm washing dye out. I have tried being even more conservative when applying it than I already am, but that doesn't seem to make a difference.

my first ever holy grail

I have never before had a product I truly felt like was my "holy grail" of products. I have things that I like but if I had to let them go or replace them I'd be fine. But not this. I love this dry shampoo and am kind of sad that I have so many other bottles of other brands' dry shampoo to go through before I can buy more of this stuff. This is the automatic go to for me - what I use when I want to have the best hair day I can without washing my hair. It literally makes my hair look and feel like I just shampoo'd it in the shower. I love it, can't get enough and will always repurchase!!
