L'Occitane Verbena Shower Gel 70ml

I love the Verbena EDT spray, so I had to try out the shower gel again after a gap of nearly 6 years since I last purchased it. During that period I've probably tried over two dozen other shower gels and not so sure I like this one as much anymore... PRO's: smells amazing, very lemony and with plenty of zing in it that's both uplifting and helps clear your head at the end of a long day. It also rinses off quite easily, unlike many shower gels that leave a slimy after feel until you dry yourself with a towel. CONS: It is not an elegant formulation. One look at the ingredients list can confirm there are hardly any beneficial ingredients for the skin, in there, regardless of how short a time it remains on you. I for one don't understand the use of 'Sodium Laureth Sulfate' in L'Occitane's cleansing products. Whatever happened to the 'being natural' mantra and all the rest of it? Hopefully they will re-formulate as so many other brands have switched to milder detergents, leaving 'SLS' in the past where it belongs. A basket of lemons with a sprig of verbena on the side 🍋 Shower gel with the scent of Italy and hot summer. The gel has a pronounced citrus, fresh aroma. Verbena softens the smell of the gel, making it special. I really like the fact that the gel smells very natural, like walking through the narrow Italian streets in the height of summer. Fresh citruses, herbaceous aroma of verbena and some special notes of hot air and sun. The only disappointment of the gel is that this marvelous aroma of hot Italy does not linger on the skin at all after washing.

Attention original Verveine hand soap shoppers - this ...

A massive shout out to Amanda in the Donny store for recommending this product. This is exactly what I have been searching for| and doubles as a hand wash. To dear L'Occitane| no idea what you were thinking when you deleted the original Verveine hand wash| you almost lost a loyal customer and no| 'Shea butter' is not the same. This shower gel is the perfect alternative to the original hand soap that you could never buy because it was always sold out| then it got discontinued and replaced with a shea butter alternative that is difficult to wash off. Sadly this is more expensive than the handsoap counterpart (and thereby loses a star)| but if you are like me and have been on the quest to find that citrus freshness there is simply no other.

Fresh shower gel

I have used many L'occitane products over the years and have always enjoyed using the verbena products in the summer. Refreshing, wonderful lather. I bought the travel size as I like to alternate between products, so to avoid using after the 6 or 12 months. I appreciate it is a higher cost, but it's worth it.

Great to have a choice of refillable Shower gels

We love the Lavender bath soap, and have used it ever since it was launched in a refillable sachet. But we were delighted to find that we can now alternate with this Lemon Verbena gel, which also comes in a refill pack.Pleased to say we’ve not bought any single-use plastic products for the bathroom for a number of years. L’Occitane: Please make other fragrances available…it’s always good to have a choice.

Have Used For Years But Recently Became Watered Down

I have been buying these refills for years. I have used none other.But recently the soap appears to have been 'watered down'. The higher viscosity results in more soap than necessary being used. I typically refill the original dispenser when it is half empty. The difference in viscosity results in the new not mixing with the old. So the viscosity changes back as I reach mid-container, reminding me that it is not my imagination.I'm guessing this is a profit building exercise by L'Occitane, but they have lost this customer. Permanently.

Helped with 1 Year Old in Europe

We bought the shower gel in Belgrade Serbia. We were leaving in a week for Crete with our one year old daughter that just started teething. This scent transformed our trip into paradise made of silky woods made from paradise-like herby deliciousness. This scent is special and amazing cannot describe it. Made our trip in Europe so memorable we use it in the States to remember our trip. The scent remains for a while as it brings us back to Turkish and Russian spas we experienced in Serbia and neat little Airbnbs in Crete as my cousin is babysitting our daughter so we can have some alone time in a restaurant. I use it every day and bought it in mid June. It is now September and I still have half of the bottle. Pure Spring in a bottle

I use to live in New Jersey from 88-05 . I use to have to travel alllll the way to Short Hills Mall just to stock up when prices back then where still expensive I would buy both your green tea vert shower gel n verbena the largest size bottle available n I'd hoard to get me through the short days n long winters the sky was grey both the green tea n verbena made me smile for the fragrance - I moved to Florida back in 05 n drove alllll the way to Millennia mall for my needs the price has gon up n I started to get sensitive to the ingredients n had to stop use as well as prices climbed up more to this day I've been not able to both use your products cuz the preservatives even at 95% what u call biodegradable ingredients! Super disappointing

Received this in the m&s beauty advent and was looking forward to a luxurious shower experience. Bitterly disappointed, it was as if I'd showered with cheap lemon washing up liquid, in consistency, scent and harshness to skin. The only nice thing I can say about it is that the bottle looks nice. I looked it up on the website to see how expensive it was and was astounded by all the positive reviews, so thought I'd add this.

Verbena refill is not the same as the bottled product

This is my favorite shower gel, but the refill is not the same product as in the bottle. I have purchased a couple of refill bags and the consistency and scent is definitely subpar when you compare it to a bottled version. It's a shame since the refills are convenient. This really only happens with this product as I purchase refills the lavender hand wash and shea shower cream and both of those are fine.
