I love the Verbena EDT spray, so I had to try out the shower gel again after a gap of nearly 6 years since I last purchased it. During that period I've probably tried over two dozen other shower gels and not so sure I like this one as much anymore... PRO's: smells amazing, very lemony and with plenty of zing in it that's both uplifting and helps clear your head at the end of a long day. It also rinses off quite easily, unlike many shower gels that leave a slimy after feel until you dry yourself with a towel. CONS: It is not an elegant formulation. In fact if you removed the fragrance from this and just had an unscented shower gel in a basic bottle you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between this and a budget drug store alternative. One look at the ingredients list can confirm there are hardly any beneficial ingredients for the skin, in there, regardless of how short a time it remains on you. I for one don't understand the use of 'Sodium Laureth Sulfate' in L'Occitane's cleansing products. Whatever happened to the 'being natural' mantra and all the rest of it? Hopefully they will re-formulate as so many other brands have switched to milder detergents, leaving 'SLS' in the past where it belongs. Verdict: For me this is just an average shower gel that's dressed up to be something else. -- My Top 10 Beauty Must-Haves

I can't say enough good things about Beauty Affairs. I've been a loyal customer now for about three years and can't fault their delivery - it feels like I get VIP Express Post when I just make a regular order. I (now) do a lot of online shopping across the board (clothes, shoes, beauty, etc.) and Beauty Affairs stand out from every other vendor I have shopped with throughout COVID as fast, reliable, and essentially flawless in their supply chain when even the previously-good-ones have slowly fallen victim throughout 2021 to COVID disruptions and delays. Whatever they're doing, it works! I will only shop elsewhere for beauty, cosmetics, and perfume on the odd occasion they don't stock a brand I want, but apart from that, I say: MECCA, who? Sephora, what? ^.^

I've shopped at Beauty Affairs for a few years now without a problem, however last week my package was stolen- at the fault of the courier. I purchased around $200+ of skincare and was completely devastated when it happened, as I didn't think I would be able to get it resent or refunded because it wasn't Beauty Affair’s fault. I contacted them and to my surprise, they immediately offered to resend or refund my purchase, not only that but they included a gift! I have never had such exceptional customer service from any other company in my whole life! Knowing they are a relatively small (compared to Sephora etc) Australian owned brand makes it even more impressive and I'm so happy (even excited) to know my money is going to a company that highly values its customers. ... A basket of lemons with a sprig of verbena on the side 🍋 Shower gel with the scent of Italy and hot summer. The gel has a pronounced citrus, fresh aroma. Verbena softens the smell of the gel, making it special. I really like the fact that the gel smells very natural, like walking through the narrow Italian streets in the height of summer. Fresh citruses, herbaceous aroma of verbena and some special notes of hot air and sun. The only disappointment of the gel is that this marvelous aroma of hot Italy does not linger on the skin at all after washing.
This purchase for me was a no-brainer. I have adored Cherry Blossom for years. It is beautifully delicate but yet the fragrance lingers on skin and in the bathroom. Perfect for baths and showers all year round. That is all mine! However, the Verbena is a shower gel that my 21 year old Daughter has adored for years. Zesty and refreshing- again the fragrance lingers beautifully. These will be gifted to her. Both formulations leave the skin feeling perfectly moisturised and fresh and not much needed per use so economical too. Such a bargain price for excellent quality products.
I have never used a bar soap on my often dry skin. When I found the Verbena Gel I fell in love with the product. I put a dab on a loofa and scrub my skin to exfoliate while giving my skin a wonderfully fresh scent of lemon. I of course follow with the Verbena lotion. This winter was cold, but my skin was in great shape. I will continue using this in the summer when I want to have a refreshing shower post water aerobics. If you live a citrus smell, this product will make you happy. My skin looks and smells great.

I don't have a nylon bath pouf - I guess I'm the only woman who doesn't - so maybe that's the problem. Hubs gave me this for X-mas along w/ 3.3 oz Eau de Toilette, 8.8 oz shea verbena bath bar, and verbena shampoo - These products perform well. I don't have the heart to tell him how disappointing Verbena Shower Gel is. I have had L'Occitane products in the past (Lavande foaming bath & shea soap) and loved them, but Verbena Shower Gel misses the mark, IMO. I'll buy a bath pouf to see if it makes a difference and will update my review accordingly.
I have bought this shower gel and it's refill and really like it. Foam is not required to apply and clean. Product would really be perfect if it smelled more intensely of Verbena- my favorite essence.I really loved the 100percent shea butter that was infused with verbena you did once for that essence. It has necver apoeared again? Why?

L'Occitane Verbena Verveine Shower Gel - 250ml
Enriched with organic verbena extract from Provence, the L’Occitane Verbena Shower Gel gently cleanses, leaving the body delicately scented with a fresh citrus fragrance. In Provence, summer time means the beginning of the verbena harvest. On their way to the distillery, freshly picked verbena leaves travel alongside rivers and streams, where their invigorating scent blends with the freshness of running water. While exploring his native Provence nearly 25 years ago, Olivier Baussan created L’Occitane by capturing the region’s most subtle fragrances and blending them with natural ingredients. Using the traditional method of extraction, he developed L’Occitane’s very first products based on essential oils extracted from local plants. From his rustic roots in Provence, Olivier dreamed of discovering new horizons, to travel beyond his native land and experience other cultures. In keeping with this spirit, L’Occitane developed a humanitarian-partnership with African women. In the Burkina Faso village in Africa, the native women harvest Shea nuts and are the co-producers of L’Occitane’s complete Shea Butter Collection. Thus, it is a tale of Provence meets Africa on ethical grounds. Today, L’Occitane focuses on protecting the fading traditions and vanishing techniques that everyone should be enjoying. L’Occitane breathes new life into these authentic customs by recreating the genuine articles such as its famous “Marseilles Soaps” as well as the revival of its Verbena and Lavender Harvests each year.
