A pleasant, but expensive, moisturiser

This product was sent to me for review. First of all, LRP is a well established high quality skincare brand. I have had positive experiences with several of their other products, so I entered this trial with high expectations. First of all, the packaging. It’s surprisingly small and slim as it only contains 40ml of product (more on that soon). It features a handy lockable pump which disperses a generous amount with each pump. I ended up using two pumps to cover my face, neck and décolletage each time. The product itself is smooth, not too thick and applies nicely to the skin. It dries down quickly and leaves a slight tackiness to the skin, which I did not find to be mask-like or uncomfortable. It worked nicely over serums and acids and just as well under a final occlusive layer. There was no pilling at all with this product. I tried using it after facial waxing and it did sting slightly for a moment before settling down. Previously I have used the La Roche-Posay’s Cicaplast Baume B5 when my skin is feeling sensitive or irritated, and I have found that to be much more pleasant and soothing (and also cheaper). Which brings me back to the cost of this Overnight Moisturiser. It’s recommended retail price is upwards of $40. Remembering it contains 40ml of product, it works out to be an expensive moisturiser. Is it worth it? I would recommend waiting for it to go on sale somewhere if you are wanting to try it, or try out the cult classic sister product Cicaplast Baume B5. At the end of the day, La Roche Posay products are high quality and worth exploring if you are wanting to up your skincare game.

This daily night moisturiser PACKED with science, hydrated and soothed my skin like nothing I've tried before. My expectations from reading the packaging was that it will... Skin is reinforced"... and well, for me, it delivered!! With zero fragrance or alcohol either I was so excited to try this product. I have sensitive skin, and no matter how sensitive focused other products have claimed to be in the past I would always find my skin to be dehydrated, redness around my eye area and increased texture and left overall disappointed. I didn't experience ANY of that with the La Roche-Posay, if anything I saw an improvement in all those areas and an overall calming effect on my skin, especially around my sensitive eye area. I actually looked forward to applying this night cream at the end of the day the refreshing gel cream texture was so hydrating, soothing and cooling I just couldn't get enough. I think the biggest endorsement I could give for this product would be that even my husband noticed a difference in my skin and without knowing I was doing this trial for Beauty Crew asked me if I was trying something new, now my husband is a tradie so take from that what you will haha. I am a 39 year old caucasian woman, so being "older" I not only drew the moisturiser down my neck, but also onto my chest where I also saw a vast improvement in my skin texture and overall hydration resulting in younger looking appearance. So would I also recommend this to friends and family? Absolutely! To all my sensitive skin sistas out there - you won't regret it!

I've been a long time lover of La Roche Posay but I have to say this product was a bit underwhelming for me. The product itself is very light on the skin, very gentle and soothing once you apply it to the face. I loved that because of how light the product was, it left no greasy or shiny feeling to the face. However, I did not notice much difference to the skin in comparison to my other night moisturisers. While it did leave my skin feeling hydrated the next day, it wasn't like the hydration that leaves your skin glowing and feeling plump. For sensitive skin, this is a decent moisturiser to try out as I did not notice any irritation. I did appreciate the product applicator as it made it easy to dispense the product to the fingers. For this price, I wouldn't be opting for it as my regular moisturiser as I feel as though I'd run out quick if I were to use it every night. However, as it was quite light and gentle on the skin, I would try it out again if my skin flares up over some other moisturisers. I would say a close dupe to this product might even be the Glow Recipe Watermelon Moisturiser. Both similar feeling when put on skin but the Glow Recipe has a nicer scent but I'd feel more comfortable to apply this La Roche Posay moisturiser over it if I had a flare up.

Great all round moisturiser
23 November 2022

This is an all round great moisturiser for all skin types really that simple and effective. It’s marketed to be great for sensitive skin which sometimes my skin can feel like and react, however I honestly didn’t have any problems with redness or feeling this wasn’t suitable. Another marker for me is of I break out in any way which can sometimes happen with new products, but I was pleasantly surprised I didn’t. I am yet to see any difference with fine lines which is why I have given it 4 stars but at the same time, I do feel that it’s light enough to not feel heavy on your skin but rich enough to feel like it’s helping soften and moisturise your skin. I live in a reasonably humid climate and it didn’t feel greasy either which was a bonus. Hard to go wrong with this brand as I have used and bought many of their products in the past and they really don’t let you down and they always say what they do. I also really like the price point and it shows that you don’t have to spend a fortune to see great results. I think this would work well with using their cleanser as well to get the best results and make your skincare simple and easy to do which will benefit your skin in the long run. One final bonus is the packaging which is easy and doesn’t leave wastage or hard to use like some products.

Hydrating and soothing night cream

I had never really had sensitive skin but over the years sun damage and waxing have made some areas of my face a lot more prone to irritation from some chemicals and products. A specific night cream that was suitable for all areas of skin seemed ideal. So I was very happy to be able to trial this product for Beauty Crew. And to have a moisturiser for use at night, rather than a general moisturiser, is a bonus. Night creams are generally thicker, promising more hydration, something I really need. This night cream from the Toleraine range for sensitive skin lives up to its name - as there is no irritating effect whatsoever on my most sensitive areas. The Dermallergo moisturiser is supposed to support the skin's microbial health by using good bacteria, plus Vitamin B6, to hydrate and protect the skin. It further protects the skin from irritation byusing no alcohol or fragrance. I usually enjoy most of La Roche Posay's Toleraine and hydration ranges, and this one is no exception. The night cream is quite thick but absorbs well and my skin does feel very hydrated. The only criticism I would have is the formula - it is very sticky to the touch and this effect stays for a while, making it not the most comfortable formula to wear. It has no scent as such, but there is a slight "minty" scent - not sure where this comes from, as there is no mint ingredient that I can see - but it is quite pleasant. The twist-top packaging is very convenient, but I have to say I nearly broke the top of this product before I worked out it was a twist top with a pump nozzle! At first sight it looks like a flip top, but the top doesn't flip - luckily I noticed the diagram on the outer box before I actually broke it. I do like the 40 ml size - this makes it a great travel product and slim enough to slip into a make-up bag.I have removed one star because of the sticky formula but otherwise it's definitely a cream I could recommend and repurchase myself.

Lovely Product!
23 November 2022

This is my fourth week trying the moisturiser and I have been enjoying it so far. I don’t honestly think the consistency is gel like and as light weight as it claims. I would say it’s somewhere between gel like and thick/ heavy. However since it is a night cream, I really don’t mind the consistency. My skin is super oily so I tend to lean towards gel like creams but some moisturisers’ consistency are too thin that sometimes I end up having dry patches. I found that this gives me adequate moisture that my skin isn’t too greasy nor dry the next day.The moisturiser also claims to be good for sensitive skin which I found to be true. I think it would compliment any serums or oils. Just bear in mind that your skin will be a bit more greasy the more skin care you layer on.Lastly, the packaging might not be as flashy or appealing as some but I actually like it because it’s so travel friendly!!! It’s thin and has a twist cap. No more loose lids inside my toiletry bag!I only gave it 4 stars as it wasn’t anything life changing for me but I did very much enjoyed using the product and will consider buying it again especially for travel.

Lovely night moisturiser that absorbs well
23 November 2022

As a huge La Roche Posay lover I was thrilled to be asked to trial the Toleriane Dermallergo Nuit Daily Repair Night Moisturiser. My normal night time routine after cleansing is either Tretinoin or Alpha H Liquid Gold so decided to use this every second night instead of my Liquid Gold. I felt this would be the best time to try it as sometimes my skin can get a bit irritated from the Tretinoin. The moisturiser is in a 40ml pump bottle which I need to pump twice to get enough product to cover my face. I find it has a feint fragrance but I do not find it offensive or strong. Luxurious Texture

This is has fast become a star product in my evening skincare. This is a soothing, comforting moisturiser with the most glorious gel/cream texture that just glides across the skin and melts right in. Although this cream is a light formulation with a hybrid gel like texture, it still packs a rich, emollient, nourishing punch and feels comforting on the skin. It brings immediate relief to any tightness or dryness or irritated skin and it definitely provides long lasting hydration throughout the night. My skin feels silky, beautifully hydrated and balanced in the morning. I use this all over my face neck and chest along with my eye area. It is super gentle and a little goes a very long way. My skin is more resilient when it's well hydrated and I've really appreciated a noticeable increase in skin hydration without any irritation and no breakouts. I really love that it does all this without being an overwhelmingly heavy cream on the skin. It's light and lovely. It's full of skin supportive ingredients including glycerin, shea butter, squalane, and niacinamide which have greatly helped to support my rather temperamental skin moisture barrier. It also gives a beautiful dewy glow to the skin after application and although the product has absorbed into my skin by morning, my skin looks plump and dewy. I'm a big fan of waking up looking fresh and dewy (not oily). The packaging is sleek pump package and has a locking mechanism in the nozzle to ensure the product remains locked tight between uses. The pump dispenses a generous pea sized amount per pump which makes it easy to dispense and apply without any product wastage. This is a product I could recommend for those with reactive, dry and sensitive skin. Or really anyone who enjoys a beautifully hydrating night cream that is quite reminiscent of of the Korean style hydrating gel creams. It's a 5/5 from me!

Small bottle but packs a punch

I received this product as part of a review panel and was curious to see how it would help my skin as I haven't used a moisturiser that was designed to help the skin microbiome. At first glance it is a smaller bottle than I was expecting. I do like the hygienic pump although I found I needed three pumps each use to cover my skin and some of my neck. The gel consistency is a little tacky and has nearly no scent, and is absorbed easily into the skin. I have been using this at night after a double cleanse and this has lasted me at least three weeks. The main result that has surprised me is how much faster my skin is healing. I have combination skin and had some white heads just drying out and healing up near my mouth and chin area,, and I was really happy to see that ... MoreI received this product as part of a review panel and was curious to see how it would help my skin as I haven't used a moisturiser that was designed to help the skin microbiome. At first glance it is a smaller bottle than I was expecting. I have combination skin and had some white heads just drying out and healing up near my mouth and chin area,, and I was really happy to see that the affected area is less red and has smoothed out very well, much quicker than normal. Sometimes the whiteheads are bumpy and itchy for a week after but my skin has really recovered faster and better than usual. My skin does look finer and a little clearer, which is a plus as I do put on heavier makeup around my nose, under my eyes and on my chin to cover up redness.I'm not sure I will repurchase this as $45 is a little steep for 40ml, although it is sometimes cheaper in some pharmacies. I'm curious to see how long this one bottle will last so I will keep using this product.

Soothing, Strengthening and Hydrating

This overnight moisturiser delivers exactly what you would expect from a La Roche-Posay product. It is gentle, nourishing, soothing and fragrance free. It includes ingredients my skin loves such as glycerin, squalane and niacinamide so I was sure it was going to fit into my skincare routine, and I was not disappointed. While my skin is not super sensitive, it is temperamental. At 51, I like to use a retinol product to help soften fine lines and even out my skin tone. This can make maintaining my skin barrier a bit of a balancing act. When my skin decides I’ve overdone the actives, I usually reach for the LRP Cicaplast B5 Balm (which is another great product) but with regular use of the Toleriane Overnight Moisturiser, it has kept my skin barrier calm, healthy and ... MoreThis overnight moisturiser delivers exactly what you would expect from a La Roche-Posay product. I feel like I’ve found a great balance. This moisturiser has a lightweight, gel-cream consistency. It feels nourishing, but if you were to have very dry skin, it may not feel enough as a night cream alone without using a serum or oil as well.Other positives include the opaque bottle and lockable nozzle.I will be purchasing this product before the last pump runs out.
