I then get confident and start using products with essential oils and wonder why I have to come back to this range again! Even within a few days my skin is no longer red and looks plump and normal. I think you can use the cleanser with any skin although I have drier skin. The moisturisers suit anyone too. I use a fluid during the day and creme at night. The products also work really well with the Avene tolerance range.

I bought my first one of these, the big one, during first lockdown when my skin just started hating me and I broke out. I needed to have a simple gentle routine and this worked as the cleansing step with zero irritation and I was confident it was doing a good job. Have been buying it ever since as I keep a few cleansers on rotation and this is always the milk/creamy one I prefer. I used it as a morning one and/or second in the evening. And it always leaves my face clean and no irritation, even when I've gone hard on the acid step!

Amazing - the only cleanser I’ve found that doesn’t irritate or dry out my skin, and I’ve had less trouble with breakouts. It’s also free of questionable chemicals (unfortunately not the case for every one of their products, but the Toleriane range is great in that regard.) My partner isn’t the biggest fan in the world of the texture, but I love it - it even feels very gentle. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone with that’s struggling to find a reliable, gentle cleanser. It’s certainly become by essential product.

I’ve used this cleanser for nearly a decade. It is the ONLY cleanser I’ve found that my skin can tolerate without irritation or breakouts. Because I have combination skin that is very reactive and sensitive (along with rosacea and acne), I need an effective cleanser that will remove light makeup and won’t irritate the balance of my skin. I apply to dry skin and gently massage in, then remove with a soft cloth soaked in tepid water (rinsing doesn’t do much). I use it twice if I need to double-cleanse. Other cleaners will trigger my rosacea or give me cystic acne from the irritation. I always keep at least 1 backup on hand; it would be amazing if we could get the large bottle with the pump that is sold in other countries (like Canada) here in the US. I totally ruined my skin with another cleanser that I used for about a month before I figured out it was the cleanser causing the damage. I thought it was another product. My skin was red and flaky. It stung any time I put a product on. I had an itchy rash on my neck, there was scabs on my face from the itchy skin. After one use of this cleanser my skin felt so much better. I've use it for a week now and my skin is almost completely restored! The rash, redness, flaking and irritation is all gone. My skin doesn't burn when I put moisturizers on. This is an amazing cleanser for anyone with damaged or sensitive skin. It is creamy and gentle. It does not foam up. I followed the directions but I rinse it off. I had suffered for years with peeling dry flakey sore skin and I couldn’t use any products other than a prescribed moisturiser. I was recommended this by a friend who has eczema and my life changed forever. This cleaner helped repair my skin barrier, you don’t have to wash it off so it can act like a moisturiser too. Because of this product, i was then able to incorporate other skincare into my daily routine which would have been impossible before. I bought this cleanser after reading about it, it sounded exactly what I needed. Something that wasn't harsh on my sensitive skin but could also clean my face without stripping it. I found this cleanser didn't clean my skin at all, left it feeling greasy. I end up double washing my face and yet it still doesn't clean it. It made me breakout probably because my skin was still dirty and not properly clean. I love their body moisturizer and face moisturizer but this was a huge disappointment and waste of money.
This cleanser is cooling and soothing and one can at once feel that it raises no irritation whatsoever . I bought it after a sudden irruption of red heat on my face , caused , I felt , by allergy , but I cannot take antihistamines with the medication I have to have [anticoagulants] . I chose LaRoche-Posay because I trust them historically with sun care for tiny children . I am far from disappointed and was thrilled too that Boots sell a larger dispenser [400 ml] than the 40 ml one which was becoming worryingly costly . I recommend it without reservation .
