At first I was put off by the weight and bulkiness of these trail runners but after trying on a bunch and comparing their features to what I was looking for, I went ahead and purchased these. I’ve worn them for almost 100km of trail, and its safe to say these are the best trail runners and/or hiking shoes Ive ever worn. They are comfortable for long distances, the rubber is sticky so I feel safe on scrambles, and they are highly breathable. I highly recommend these for anyone looking for long distance trail runners with a sticky sole!My only complaint besides the bulkiness is, I wish they had loops so I can put a biner through.

This was my 2nd pair of this same trail shoe. I was glad it was still available since it's my favorite trail shoe. I used it to run Machu Picchu marathon. The Inca trail has hundreds of thousands of step and stones all different sizes, so the toe guard was important to me. I also need a wide toe box. This shoe has plenty of tread and I got a lot of wear out of them. I wish they would continue to make this very shoe forever, and in this beautiful color! (Note, my previous shoe was a 8.5, but since it wasn't available I had to purchase a 9 this time and intend to keep them.)

I purchased these first in the black men’s gortex for work-I am a mail carrier. My feet have not yet been wet. So comfortable. I came back and bought another pair for hiking non gortex and LOVE THEM. They are a little narrow which for me is perfect as I have a long narrow foot. The rubber grippy on the bottom wears a little on pavement (my gortex ones) but have not had any issues with my blue trail pair.

I liked that it has a defined heel. The padding is a bit firm for me, but I am about 105 lbs. For a larger person it is likely fine. I was reminded that I really need a 39 (Euro size) in La Sportiva. They sometimes call that 7.5+ in American size. When I ordered 7.5 I got 38.5 Euro.
I saw these on the website and I loved their styling, ordered a 9 ( my regular size) European size 40.5. Unfortunately I couldn’t break them in, they seemed too short. I sent them back and ordered a European size 41 (us size 9.5) and they fit perfectly!! I am a garden center nursery manager and need a pair of shoes that are tuff & comfortable. I may buy another pair in the blue for my personal time.
Love this hiking trail shoe/sneaker. I have a narrow foot and it fits a narrow foot really well, especially in the heel. The best part of the shoe is the great traction it has on rocky terrain. Sticky rubber sole, really is sticky! I have been buying the Raptor for years. Holds up well, and I use for hiking in the rocky trails of the Tetons. Recommend if your foot is narrow.
I love these shoes! Wore them 3-5 times a week (trail running and hiking) for almost a year and the soles are still in great condition and have great grip. Very stable shoe, and light on foot. Wore them on various terrains; sharp volcanic rock (mostly), rock, mud, gravel, dirt, sand and great in all conditions. Overall great shoes and would highly recommend!
I hiked over 15 000 km with these shoes (+15 pairs) on long distance trails (PCT, AT, CDT, CT, GDT...) and love them. They won't fail on you and I put, in average, 1000 km, before changing them because the sole is more compacted after that many miles and does not offer as much comfort/support. But even after 1000 km, the rest of the shoes is fine, not falling apart like other brands do. If they fit you, you will be happy. They slightly changed the model in 2022 and I could not feel a difference compare to the previous ones.
This is my second pair of Ultra Raptors II. My others were exactly like these (turquoise). I love the fact that I can go several years in one pair and find them still available when I was ready for a new pair. I use them every weekend if not more - for hiking and as an approach shoe to reach remote climbing areas. The fit is excellent for my foot. I wear a slightly larger size than normal to be able to accommodate a thin sock under a light hiking sock if the hike is long. I never have gotten a blister or even close to one. They handle rough terrain, scree, talus, slabs or whatever condition my feet come upon. They stick well on slippery slopes and out performed any shoe I ever worn in wet conditions.
Wow. This is a beautiful shoe in Ink/Topaz and the quality of construction is impressive. I am a US size 8 in all my hiking/running shoes and the 39.5 fit perfectly. Except. When I ordered another pair as backup the toe box was so narrow it hurt went I tried it on! Too tight to even contemplate trying to stretch them out. Don't know if that was a one off defect or maybe the pair that fit were just made a bit wider in the toe box.I also bought the same shoe in the GTX model and it had the same fit defect, too narrow in the toe box. I have average feet, not wide, and high arches. On the positive side, the pair that fit have good arch/heel support, amazing stability, flexibility, and COMFORT! Would have happily kept all 3 if not for the narrow fit problem. May try to ... MoreWow. This is a beautiful shoe in Ink/Topaz and the quality of construction is impressive.
