I just got the pot and have used it twice and it already has pitting on the bottom. And no, I don't add salt to my pasta when I cook it so that is not the issue. I have a set from a different manufacturer that is 35 years old and it is in better shape than this pot. Really disappointed as this was not a cheap purchase.

I scored this pan at the Pomona FTT for a great price. It's easily one of my go to pans. It's lasted quite awhile. I don't use Nylon tools in it...only silicone. I mostly hand wash it, occasionally the dishwasher. It's a great go to pan. AND YES, the 12 in lid fits on it.

I LOVED this pan, and used it for absolutely everything, until the nonstick chipped. I've only had it for about a year. I was cautious using utensils and always washed it by hand.the nonstick was so good and cleanup was a breeze. I loved the large size and the depth of the pan. My only complaint was that the available lids wouldn't fit the pan because it's so large. We like making one pot meals and this pan was fantastic! You could brown a couple of pounds of ground chuck and still have enough room to add all your veggies and spices. I'm so disappointed that I cannot use it anymore.

I couldn't wait to purchase my Le Creuset stainless. It looked so pretty in the store, until I got them home and started using them. I purchased a pasta pot, and three saucepans with lids. Each and every piece pitted at the bottom. I contacted Le Creuset and they told me I would have to ship the item back and they would decide if I received a refund. In addition there were no guarantees I would get a refund. I kept them but I'm still not happy.
Such a great pan. Heavier than most nonstick pans but much lighter than their cast iron pan. The older I get the lighter I need things but this one is a gem! Nothing sticks and everything cooks even. Worth every penny!
I use this pan all the time, and I NEVER let anything but soft utensils near it. I hand wash them (I've had three) and then one day, BAM, it's over. I've bought three -- THREE -- at the exorbitant price, the first time because I thought someone had scratched it, and the second time for the same reason. This time, NO ONE was allowed near it, and I know for a fact I did nothing to cause it to fail. They are doomed to fail. I am now seeking another pan that will be comparable, but will actually last.
Have started making fresh pasta at home. This was the perfect thing to do it justice when it came to cooking. Easy to use, intuitive design, can’t go back to anything else now.
Useless as a frying pan, great as an ornament. After the first one was replaced i've been scared to use it. When it was replaced I got an email with a long list of things you cant do with this frying pan, which include dont use olive oil, dont use it on a high heat, dont put in the dishwasher etc etc . So basically dont use it and it will last forever.
On first use, I heated the pan on a gas stovetop on medium flame in order to sear a steak. 5 mins later the rivets leaked some type of black liquid. I tried to clean it off but it wouldn't clean off. Sending it back. Now I can't return it because it was a replacement item for another le creuset failed item.I am so sorry to say that this company is going down hill. Not proud anymore to buy Le Creuset... bad quality and bad service. Sorry...
Have had this pot for several years- incredibly versatile with even heating and easy cleaning. Have used this for large batch jelly making, pasta, pasta sauces, stew, chili, and soups. Looks brand new after years of heavy use. Love this pot.
