NOT RECOMMENDED. I tend to wait to review just to see how the product ages. Initially this product was fantastic however after using it for 8 months the non-stick started to fail. Basic eggs would stick. Handwashed everytime - no scourers. Reported it to the manufacturer and apparently using 'high' heat can cause the non-stick component to fail - i would say i use it similarly to most of the population. For a very expensive pan - save your dollars - buy one for half or a third of the price and refresh after a year or so. Shame to contribute to landfill.

I bought this and the 30cm size together. Both sizes are the best non-stick pans I have ever owned. It is really lightweight and has amazing non-stick qualities (eggs and pancakes just slide off the pan). I followed the instructions of cleaning in warm soapy water, drying immediately and then oiling the pan with vegetable oil on a kitchen towel and leaving it until the next use. I have been seasoning it this way weekly, and it seems to be working wonders. Before owning this I'd gone through 4 different non-stick pans which lost their stick really quickly. I have high hopes for this one to last much longer. Well done Le Creuset!

I brought this le creuset frying pan because I thought it would last a long time and not stick but after 15 months of minor use just cooking eggs and bacon in it now and again it started sticking. I contact John Lewis who chose not to deal with this matter and they referred me to the le creuset manufacturers who where very unhelpful and despite sending pictures of the excellent clean condition they dismissed this and offered no help. Be cautious when buying this as this will not last more the 2 years, total waste of money and you will get no help from John Lewis when this starts to stick because it will. Mine looks brand new but if i do an omelette it, it is completely stuck to bottom of pan. I went on to also buy the sauté pan and i am sure in the next year i will ... MoreI brought this le creuset frying pan because I thought it would last a long time and not stick but after 15 months of minor use just cooking eggs and bacon in it now and again it started sticking. I bought 3 different sizes of these pans - 8", 9 1/2" & 12" shallow (in fact I bought a total of 4 pans, with two being the 12" size shallow) . I also bought the accompanying glass lids with knobs ( when you are buying lids, please note, as I found out, that some lids have handles instead of knobs, so be careful if you want to co-ordinate what you have). These are HANDS DOWN the most EXTRAORDINARY FRY PANS I HAVE EVER OWNED!!!!! I wish they had been available to me sooner. They are expensive, for sure, but that comes under the heading of "you get what you pay for".These pans clean up like a charm! I don't (& won't) put them in the dishwasher. They only need a small wipe with a paper towel when they are warm to remove simple grease & a short soak in plain soapy warm ... MoreI bought 3 different sizes of these pans - 8", 9 1/2" & 12" shallow (in fact I bought a total of 4 pans, with two being the 12" size shallow) . They have even heating, they go easily from stove top to oven, the lids are amazing- convex, see through & fit perfectly: so what else can I say?If you can afford them, these pans are definitely worth the cost. You will be amazed & probably have them forever!
This is an expensive piece of kit and one expects to need to treat it well eg hand wash not dishwasher . However be very careful when using le creuset toughened non stick coating on a high powered induction hobMy son managed to ruin our last Le creuset frying pan by putting it onto a high heat with boost ( albeit with oil in it). I see that this one now includes explicit instructions to heat it up very gently so as not to damage the non stick. That's all very well if you control your own kitchen but with two other cooks around that's not always possible! Frankly I would expect something more resilient for the price
This is a really good frying pan - our old one (a John Lewis own-brand, I believe) had lost its non-stick. Using this new one I have instantly been able to cook things really well again, even on a low heat and using minimal oil (as I now realise you're supposed to do!).It's shallower than some of the other frying pans that were available (which looked more like woks to me), and that's what I was after. It's also clearly well made, and sturdy, without being too heavy (it's not like a Le Creuset cast iron one or anything). The only downside is the price. It's two or three times as expensive as some other non-stick frying pans, so you have to believe the extra strength/quality/durability is worth it. If you're going to use it a lot, over several years, I'd say it ... MoreThis is a really good frying pan - our old one (a John Lewis own-brand, I believe) had lost its non-stick. Feels lighter than it looks. But not as light as other brands but I guess that makes it more durable. So far so good. Non-stick capability works as expected. I would say almost the same as the woll diamond lite pans.I haven’t tried the cheaper brands that were reviewed to work great though, so I can’t compare on that aspect.Better size and space usability compared to the 20cm
For over 40 years I've had Le Creuset 26cm cast iron tefal lined frying pans, used incessantly. They last for at least a decade with careful use. A few years ago the cast iron non-stick range (all sizes of frying pan and the milk pan) were discontinued. My last one, 12 years old, had lost its non-stick and had developed a loose handle, so I looked at what I could replace it with. Although not the same, I went for the Le Creuset version out of misplaced loyalty, whilst wincing slightly at the cost (for a non cast iron pan). When I collected it I was struck at once how light the box was. Which is it in a nutshell, really. Compared to its predecessors, it is positively flimsy. I shall be interested to see how long the much vaunted non stick lining lasts for (again, ... MoreFor over 40 years I've had Le Creuset 26cm cast iron tefal lined frying pans, used incessantly. It is considerably more expensive than a wide range of available good quality non-stick pans, so I shall monitor its performance and longevity with interest.
Have used Le Creuset toughened non-stick frying pans for years - fabulous bit of kit. I like to fry my steaks HOT, with charred outside. No problem. Used daily; lasts for years. Light years ahead of the old traditional Le Creuset frying pans.
