Le Labo - Hand Pomade - 55ml

Wrong scent was delivered (I ordered basil but received hinoki). Tried to request for help to seller and explained that I don't like hinoki scent, but received $10 voucher for next purchase. When checked, basil was out of stock! Is this their tactic by sending out a substitute without checking with buyer? In the end I gave away the hand cream.

This hand cream is my holy grail. The Hinoki scent is heavenly and strong but airy and light. The rich formula of the cream leaves my hands feeling cool, moisturized and soft - not sticky or greasy in the slightest. I have one of these in my office and keep one for on the go at all times. I can’t get enough!

Amazing smell, so hydrating

I tossed up about buying this for ages considering the price, but I'm so glad I got it. The smell lasts forever (even after washing) and it's so softening and hydrating without being sticky or greasy. Wish Le Labo would do this as a fragrance too. Love it.

Bonus as a room fragrance!

The smell of this reminds me of Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea parfum and they're almost identical. Nothing wrong with that - the scent is so addicting! It's a very fresh, bright and uplifting smell. A little zesty, not exactly sour citrus but also not sweet fruity. Just a super clean, summery, daytime scent.It's a thick lotion formula which is the standard, but it does not feel greasy or oily whatsoever. Absorbs quick and gives immediate softening results.This is "just" a hand lotion, but it leaves your entire room smelling absolutely fabulous and when you apply it before you sleep, the smell rubs off onto your sheets and it's just so so pleasant as it lingers around for quite a while. I honestly live for constantly smelling good all the time!!!

I Prefer the Basil Hand Pomade

I tried this version of the hand pomade due to the glowing reviews about the fragrance. Unfortunately, I do not enjoy the smell of this one like others do. It took a couple of hours to work out where I had smelt the combination before. Then it hit me - the incense used at Church, especially at Catholic funerals. I much prefer the basil version. The moisturising benefits of this hand cream are second to none, but I will not buy this one again and will only use the basil. Also, do not expect a large tube of hand cream that reflects the price.

Love the results not the scent

I received a sample of Hand Pomade a few months ago and thought it was amazing. It was not in stock at my local Nordstrom store at the time so I forgot about it until today when I saw the product on the counter at Nordstrom. There was no tester so I was relying on memory to determine which fragrance I had received in the sample. Well I chose wrong. I should have went with the basil scent after reading reviews. The Hinoki has a very strong scent that reminds me of incense, which I dislike immensely. I'll pickup the Basil version next week. Nice handcream

This is a nice buttery handcream that sinks it well and leaves dry hands feeling moisturised.The smell is very strong which is great if you like the perfume which I do . I only use it last thing at night though as during the day the smell transfers to cups etc and the other half complains!

Not really worth it

The scent is refreshing but it is heavily perfumed and a bit cloying. The cream itself feels light and absorbs quickly, but it doesn't feel particularly nourishing. I have certainly used cheaper alternatives that have felt creamier and left my hands feeling soft and hydrated. I love the packaging and the size is very handy, but this isn't my go to hand cream. I leave this by my bed and use it before going to sleep like a little luxurious ritual. This would make a very special gift, but it doesn't really fit my expectations for a hardworking hand cream.

soft hands, strong scent

I wanted to try this hand cream as it was highly reviewed at the time. It's hard to find thick hand cream, as my hands are often dry from excessive washing & sanitizing, whilst also not wanting it to be oily. This Le Labo hand cream is thick, and rich, but the scent is quite a bit much. Even though it's supposed to be reminiscent of peonies in japan, this is like just kind of attacking your nose in scent? It's strong. personally, I'd like something lighter in fragrance, but otherwise, it's a great hand cream.
