I had one of these for several months but it went missing on a fishing trip. I love the fact that this tool is 100% one handed. However, the tool set is seriously flawed.1. The file is so short it’s useless. Toss the scissors and put a full length file with rough, diamond, and hacksaw capabilities.2. The ruler should be stamped in the frame of the tool. A short ruler on the back of the overly short file is of no use3. The package opener should have a chisel on the tip4. This tool should have a bit driver at this price point. There is no reason why Leatherman couldn’t put one on if YouTubers are able to figure out how to do it.5. The knife blades should be at least 154CM on a $140 multitool.6. Give the tools more reachThis tool could have been an absolute win but these flaws are holding it way back. I do plan to get another though because completely one handed tool access is a must sometimes at my job. All that being said, the build quality, ease of use, and comfort of the P4 is absolutely excellent.

Picked this up at my local REI yesterday. It hasn't been used in the "field" yet. However after a few hours of opening and closing it while watching TV, I just can't put it down. The pocket clip is nice, makes it easy to take with me. The pouch it comes with is cool but you have to weave it through a belt. Pocket clip is way easier. It does give you options for carry. I like the magnet feature, it stays secured while in your pocket. I barley notice it.Classic leatherman tools that have a modern touch. Knives are razor sharp. Saw is like piranha teeth, ready to saw the thickest of 2-3" limbs. Scissors have a good feel to them and cut easily. Tool selection is great. Look, this is THE Tool. I own two of these now. I work at an oil change shop and put this tool through its paces on the daily. All day everyday. It saves me millions of trips to toolboxes. Coworkers constantly ask to borrow it on the fly; because they know where to find it and it does the job they need it to. I found myself reaching for it even when I wasn’t at work because I have become so accustomed to this endlessly reliable, versatile, and well-designed tool at my belt. So now I have a FREE P4 I abuse all day long at work, and a “Going out”(lol) FREE P4 I use everywhere else. Great tool. So dang versatile. It has become as much of a necessity to have in my pocket as my phone is.I have 2 negatives but they aren’t important enough to detract a star. 1) the Belt Case it comes with is not durable. My first one wore out after a couple months when the clasp stopped being able to close. Also the material is easily stained and penetrated by oil and the lettering strips off. I don’t even use the newer pouch as I’ve grown used to reaching for the P4 in my pocket. A leather one would be more ideal for me anyways.2) the little circle divot design on the grips fills with dirt over time in and it is a huge pain get out. Just annoying for someone who likes to keep their tools well maintained and looking good. Doesn’t affect functionality at all.This tool literally changed who I am in the friend group. I’m the person who brought the thing to fix it, cut it, trim it, tighten it, pry it, ply it, heck you can even file your nails with it. I’m the handyman. Because of Leatherman.
