Leatherman | Micra Navy / No Engraving

I got mine about 25 years ago so it is now out of warranty. That's too bad, but mine still functions perfectly though it has needed very little maintenance. I just resharpened the blades again. Mine only needs a good ultrasonic cleaning but I expect to get at least 25 more years of solid use out of it! I couldn't ask for more.

The Micra is always on my keychain. Is the go to tool for opening any packages (blister packs and tie wraps with scissors, boxes with the blade). Like other people said, the tools being on the inside keeps them cleaner so you don't pick up as much pocket lint in it, I see it as a positive. Please never stop making it.

My friend got me one of these just after we'd graduated highschool about 4 years ago, and I carried it around with me everywhere I went cause it came in handy so often when I needed just a tiny screwdriver, or to open a box, pulling off o-rings, I even started using the scissors and file for trimming my fingernails. The only complaint I have at all is that after only a few weeks of being in my pocket my name has almost completely worn off but my number is still pretty intact. I’ve been using a Micro multi tool for over 25 years. It is compact enough to carry in my pants pocket daily. I attached a string loop to the lanyard ring which makes it easy to retrieve, the loop is large enough for my wrist in situations were dropping the tool would be inconvenient. This is a terrific device for light duty use. The standout feature is the usable scissors, unlike those teeny little Swiss Army knife thingies. It's amazingly useful around the house or office. The Micra is so small you hardly know you are carrying it. That said, two of the tools see more use on my Micra than the others, namely, the small screwdriver perfect for eyeglasses and other tiny screws. Everything today seems to have micro screws in it. It files fast and leaves your nails finished, unlike some of the other files which leave your nails like a ripsaw.

I bought this to put in my EDC bag. For me, the main attraction was the scissors, which are a good size. I use scissors quite often. I also like having a blade, another tool I need often. The fingernail tool is also something I’ll need occasionally. The other tools are handy to have. The ruler is iffy.

About 15 years ago a friend gave me a silver Micra Leatherman knife to carry in my pocket because it had so many attachments with it. Great little knife!

I got this knife as a gift about 12 years ago, and didn't think I would carry it very often, because of it's compact size. However, I've been very surprised how convenient the knife is to carry daily. And I never realized how useful a pair of small, sharp sizors can be! Kudos to Leatherman for making such a high quality, useful knife!I don't take it hunting. But it's a great every day carry knife to have! And it holds an edge VERY WELL!
