Good set for minifigures! I think this set is more worth 20-25 dollars but still a great set! I also love the Doctor strange minifig it comes with, with the clip on cape and an accurate face and hair! Overall a great set and I recommend it

This set is a lot of fun to play with and display as a battle set, works well with other sets (also picked up the Goat Boat at the same time and the two together really makes for an exciting play experience), and is fun to build. I think in terms of price, if you can get it on sale from a store it may be a little more worthwhile as the build itself is pretty quick and despite a lot of moving parts, not overly difficult. But dang, everything about this set is fun for both kids and adults, so maybe the price it’s at and the deceptively simple build is perfect.

All the figures in this set are really good, Doctor Strange is my favorite from this set, although I think Wong looks a but young I would almost mistake him for a differant charactor looking at his face.Gargantos himself is a really cool build with a fun design, with his many ball joint Tenticles and his big transparent colored eye that is visually striking.

This set is good. It could use some more details. It would be nice to have some more mini-figures because there are many tentacles. There is one part that made me really surprised. Now the mini-legs can move. (My 6-year old grandson dictated this review to me)
I built this with my daughter. A really great set. Her and I both really liked the America Chavez character. We did get a bit confused on the instructions with all of the olive green. But we figured it out. Also, there are 2 parts around the eyes that do not connect correctly causing other parts to not connect correctly. The awesome minifigures make up for this design flaw.
It pays perfect homage to the film and the build was very enjoyable. I suggest pairing it with your Lego Expert Town Square to reenact the scene from the movie. Gargatos fits perfectly between the two buildings.
Confession: I am not a Marvel Universe fan and know nothing about these characters. My dad is a big fan of the original Doctor Strange comic books, and he was more than happy to take possession of the mini figs. I got this set because I love the look of the monster. It reminds me of the Crawling Eye from the Trollenburg Terror movie of the late 1950’s, and that’s why I purchased it. That said, it makes an awesome addition to my Haunted House Ride set! The posable tentacles allows is to grab the roof securely without interfering with the mechanism. I imagine it would be fun to place it climbing up things around the house, too. I may have to watch this movie.
This is essentially a character park for the first part of Doctor Strange 2, and in that regard it is great, would've been nice to get some terrain/scenery (maybe even a portal for America) but I understand this would've bumped up the price. For what it is it's a really cool set
This is just a fun set! And a welcome change from the usual emphases upon vehicles and dioramas. The main build of Gargantos (maybe Shuma-Gorath in the original comic!?) is nice, with some interesting techniques, and results in a really posable model. There's been a lot of commenting in online reviews about the use of a badly fitting 'illegal' technique concerning the lower eyelid. Whilst this is true, the fit isn't as bad as has been emphasised in the photographs accompanying these online reviews. People really shouldn't be losing their minds over it! It was a fun and interesting build, the posability of the arms is great, and results in a model much larger than it appears in the official photographs. I like it a lot.The figures are also really good. The updated torso for Dr. Strange is nice, as well as the new cape introduced in the recent Spider-man set. The new America Chavez (i.e. Ms. Marvel) figure is also nice, and the inclusion of the LGBTQI+ tiles is a thoughtful addition. This is a reasonably priced set, a nice interesting build that left me smiling, and works great as a display model. It's just a really fun set!
Each of the figurines has a lot of personality--as does the monster! I was worried this would be tricky to assemble but that wasn't the case at all. The tangle of tentacles still support the monster easily, the figures can "stand" on the tips of them, and the arms are flexible without breaking off (it's easy to play with). Plus, America comes with a little LGBTQ+ pride disc to hold, which I thought was a neat detail. This set does a lot more than just sit on a shelf, though it is quite eye-catching.
