LEGO Architecture Lincoln Memorial - 21022.

My 6 year old daughter just discovered Lego's recently and loves to build. I took her to the local Lego store yesterday and saw the architecture sets. I thought the Lincoln Memorial would look cool in my office so I purchased the set. I forgot how much fun Lego's are and I am glad my daughter has reminded me! Would love to see more of these architecture sets.This set is small, but I knew that when I bought it. The guide that comes with it is pretty cool and includes some interesting tidbits of information on the memorial itself. Look forward to putting this in my office at work!

A little small, but quite fun to build.

I prefer much larger Lego models, but can't say no to the Architecture series of national monuments and landmarks. It is an interesting build if rather short. This is the third District of Columbia model I have completed, joining the nations Capital and the White House. The instruction booklet that comes with Lego set in the Architecture series is full of interesting facts and information.. Informative and fun, you should give these a try!

An okay set, could've been so much more

The Architecture line is my favourite theme and always make for great displays. However, the Lincoln Memorial is just okay when compared to excellent sets like The White House or Trevi Fountain.The instructions and building of were easy, didn't take too long to complete; it is accurate and resembles the actual memorial; and it makes for a nice little display piece on your bookshelf or desk.I only wish it was bigger in size, as it sits on my shelf, it's about half the size of The White House set. It should've been bigger, or at the minimum, the same size as The White House.

Anticipation Better Than Realization

As soon as I heard Lego was coming out with a Lincoln Memorial set, I couldn't wait. I guess the old saying is true that anticipation is better than realization because, honestly, I was disappointed. It is too small and the price point, I think, is too much for what you get. I enjoyed the White House (except for the "white flag of surrender" on top), but this one not so much. P.S. Couldn't they have at least put a beard on Lincoln?

Back to Basics

I really enjoyed this set because of its simplicity. The last few Architecture series releases had been fairly complex, like the Trevi Fountain. While I enjoyed that extra challenge, I like seeing the series release a simpler set that throws back to its earlier sets. Though easy, there's unique pieces and combinations in the Lincoln Memorial that keeps it interesting. It's a quick build and one that younger enthusiasts would likely enjoy.

Cute, pocket-sized model

(Check Bricks 'n Pieces, that's the piece name.) I expected the Lincoln Memorial and the White House to go together for display purposes. Lincoln LEGOs

As someone who has spend half my life outside of DC I felt I needed to purchase this when it was released. While it was an easy build, and much smaller than I thought it would be, it was fun to build a familiar landmark. While cute, I agree I thought the mini Abe figure would be a build rather than a singular piece. However, it was nice there was something there rather than a regular block. Would love to see the Jefferson Memorial as a future project!

Mediocre.

I am normally a huge, huge fan of the Architecture series. The ones I have purchased thus far have given me a really good impression on them.This one did not.I was very disappointed in the size. I really thought it would possibly be the size of the White House, or a little bit bigger than it actually is.I was hesitant on buying it too, but I was told by my boyfriend that I should because it's on sale at the store and chances are, it was going to get discontinued soon. So I did, but now I wish I didn't.

Small, but a good rendition

This is my first purchase from the architecture series. I bought it because my son and I visited the actual memorial the week before, therefore it has a special meaning to us. Whether or not you have been to the actual Lincoln Memorial, the build does closely resemble the structure. It is fairly small, and because the build is mainly made from very small parts, it does seem like a high cost per piece ratio compared to other sets. There is a nice instruction booklet that includes information about the memorial.Naturally, as an architecture set, it is meant for display and has very little in terms of play value. Nevertheless, fans of architecture or those who appreciate monuments like these will probably like the set.

another great Architecture set

Too bad one can't respond to other reviewers, because Beaner's review below is almost insulting. Given the date and the review, he clearly doesn't have the actual product. Cannot be built in 11 minutes and there IS a miniature Lincoln statue in there. I love LEGO's response.The Archtecture series is just wonderful. I have them all and have not been disappointed once. I love the booklets, the black styling and how all items are so accurate.The term 'play experience' that you need to rate when submitting a review is of course not literally applicable to the Architecture series because, at least for me, it's more of a 'build and display' thing, not a play thing. But for me, the building and enjoying IS the play, so, full marks.
