My son and I play this game together. He's a 4-year old who can't get enough of the Batman/Marvel universe, and this game is PERFECT for us.For starters, the controls are simple enough to grasp and my little guy was up and running after a few short game sessions. Since we only play for 30 minutes at a time, it's nice that we can finish a level/stage and he feels accomplished when I say it's time to stop playing. The graphics are great - bright, fun, and movie like. Since we also watch the accompanying movie - a lot - it's nice that the game looks like what he watches on TV and he gets to play out the movie on his own.Like I mentioned before, the controls are easy to get a hang of and the camera never gets in your way. I'm glad the camera splits, and the developers did it effectively. We haven't finished the single player campaign yet, but this game certainly has re-play value. If you're looking for a game to play with your kids, this game should be at the top of your list. From my perspective, I'm a Call of Duty/Battlefield/Splinter Cell type gamer, the game is fun, fast-paced, and it keeps me interested in collecting gold bricks and unlocking characters. I might not have purchased this game if I didn't have a little guy, but I'm glad I did. I'm looki.

This Lego branded game has so far been the best one made so far. I have purchased all lego games for my sons 7 & 11 including Lego Rock Band and I must say that so far this one has really impressed me. The very first ones made (Lego Batman) although game play was for kids wasn't too co-op friendly. You had to stay close to the other player ortherwise it was almost impossible to do anything. Got tired of hearing "can you please move?" :) They improved it with Lego Indiana Jones and we were in awe at the co-op play. Here was a lego game that actually gave the other player free reign in the game as well.Well Lego Batman 2 did not disappoint. My son especially loves playing with SuperMan since he flies. Batman has his BatMobile but he's still not as cool as superman. The one thing I can say about this game that may be different is that you now have to finally go around looking for your missions instead of them just being there like before. This is one game that you're not going to be done in day but then again no Lego game so far have you been able to completely finish in one day. There's lot to do and you'll certainly enjoy this one. There is a slight issue with the game freezing which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 but besides that it's a very good game and kids and grown ups would enjoy it.

I'm not sure I would have been so savvy when I was 6.There are a lot of similarities to other Lego games, but just as many differences and enhancements to make it interesting.I love the enhancements Lego has made to the overall package. You can also double click the fly button to give yourself a speed boost, which is especially fun at street level. There is a little bit of a learning curve to flying (it takes a minor amount of practice), but once you've got the hang of it it's a blast! One other bonus, any time you fly around Gotham City (not within the levels) as Superman, you get to hear the John Williams Superman movie score! My heart swells just little anytime I take off as Superman and that music starts. Superhero scores doesn't get much better than that. Also, it's a blast running through the streets as The.

I'm a huge fan of the LEGO video games. I've played both Harry Potter games through twice. I also several others. My biggest complaint with the most recent one I've played - Star Wars: The Complete Saga - is the lack of being able to save while in a level. So this means when you're ready to go to bed and need to quit or just need to stop playing you either have to keep playing to finish the level or you have to exit and lose maybe an hour or more of playing time. This game - like some of the other LEGO games - has save points scattered through the levels. But I LOVE LEGO games and really enjoying playing this one.

I loved the first Lego Batman, so I decided to try the sequel. I was not disappointed! There are lots of puzzles and brain-teasers throughout each level. This is pretty important to me because as I don't enjoy mindlessly wandering around levels without having to think about why I'm there. You're able to collect countless characters, each with their own abilities. I played this off and on for about a month and I'm still only 75% finished. There aren't many needless scenes that go on and on between levels (like in Lego Indiana Jones 2) so you can go from level to level quickly. The free-play part of the game is great, and I could spend hours wandering around Gotham, stumbling upon hidden characters and distressed citizens. I highly recommend Lego Batman 2, especially if you are a lover of the Lego franchise.

Ok, so my 5 year old son loves Lego games. He plays Lego Indiana Jones on the Xbox but usually has trouble with some of the puzzles so I usually join him to help beat the levels. I eventually bought him Lego Indiana Jones 2 DS version but forget it, controls were clunky and puzzles were harder. Then I saw this game was going to be released soon so I kept in on my radar. I eventually downloaded the demo and thought it played very well so I decided it would be worth the purchase. My son has been playing it and I can gladly say he is enjoying. The controls are smooth and he's is plowing through the levels with ease. The puzzle sequences are so well put together to where they're not too hard but yet it gives him a challenge. I do think the handheld version is geared more towards the younger crowd but it doesn't mean its not a good game because it is. I often have to stop myself from snatching the 3DS from my son. :)

This has to be my favorite video game. I can't get enough of running around smashing things. I love video games with a passion, so much so that back in the early 90's I would fake sick so my mom, who was cleaning houses in the southern California area for extra money, would be forced to take me along so I could pay the rich kids video games. This was the first Lego video game I played and I was hooked. I had to buy this one because I had my nephews over a lot and - like any kids - they come to see my xbox360 - and not me! So imagine how sad I was when my nephews LOST my favorite game. (which they both swore was the other person.) They're cute though so I couldn't get too mad. If you have young kids - its easy enough for them to just walk around and smash the tables and enemies before they get bored of it and want to play something else. Older kids will be able to follow the story line.I've added some screenshots of game play, they aren't mine, I got them from a walk through - speaking of that. If you want get stuck I always refer to a walk through, I tried to put a link to it here but retrolio deleted it. Just google Lego Batman Walkthrough I'm sure youll come up with a good one :)

I really like this game. My 5-year old LOVES it. However, it does have some major problems. Let me break it down for you:LIKES:- Fun story.- Reasonably easy-to-solve puzzles.- Good for all age levels, both young and old. My youngest still needs some help from me, but that's okay because we can play together.- Has Superman in it. Nothing quite beats the joy of flying around as Lego Superman for the first time :)- The Soundtrack gets it RIGHT. Uses music from both the 1989 Batman movie, and the Christopher Reeve Superman movies.- Has a large variety of familiar DC superheroes and villains.- The various suits are fun to use.- Has lots of cool bat-vehicles to drive around.- You can wander around a city exploring as you like, ala Grand Theft Auto (minus the cop ... MoreI really like this game. The game freezes often, usually when you are wandering around the city. This requires a hard reboot.- Poor map interface. In the original Lego Star Wars games, it was easy to see what your next objective was. In this, the central hub is a batcave. But good luck figuring out where to go from there. You have a computer map to interact with, which hints at where to go but this is obscure at best. The instruction manual is no help whatsoever. Your best bet is to just follow the greenish/blue lego stud trail, but even this if often unhelpful. I'm kind of amazed at how bad this is, and how.
