There are elements of this set that are good, but there are also elements that are bad. Starting with the good, the minifigures are great. Both the 332nd trooper and Ashoka are exclusive to this set, and they look great. The droids are not exclusive, but they make sense to include in this set. The build itself allows for plenty of playability with shooters, the posable turrets, moving it around. Moving to the bad, the build has a lot of inacurracies to the in-universe design. The biggest inaccuracy is how inconsistent the proportions are not just to the in-universe design, but throughout the rest of the build as well, with the cannon on the head is the best example of how inconsistent the proportions are. It feels like a $30-$35 set, and at $40, I don't know if it's in the range of reasonability. Overall, the set is ok. The minifigures are good and playability is perfect, but the design of the AAT isn't too good. I would recommend waiting on this set until someone gives it to you or you find a discount.

I had been wanting this set for a very long time, so when I opened it on Christmas Eve it was a dream come true. The Ahsoka and 332nd trooper are flawless. Absolutely flawless. The battle droids are...battle droids, which desperately need movable legs. *Cough* *UCS AAT with exclusive battle droids* *Cough*The AAT is really cool, too, though. A huge update from the 2015 version, it's almost at the perfect scale and looks pretty accurate. All the guns are able to swivel up and down. The spring missile function is cool as well. My only gripe is that we still don't have a rear hatch, which is the tank's main access point in the Clone Wars show. Other than that it's a nearly perfect set.

The 2 minifigs in this are very good, and I am a huge fan of the Clone Wars, and that makes the minifigs even better and the build even worse. The build was enjoyable and used good techniques, but the colours and proportions are not screen accurate. For example, there should be a big blue stripe down the front, but there's not. The side guns are upside down, the whole main turret is waaay to big, and a few other small things too.

I sent this Lego Star Wars Armored Assault Tank (AAT™) set to my eldest son as an early birthday gift. It also helps to teach a child the importance of patience, while stimulating their creativity.& imagination..My son is extremely happy to own this Lego Star Wars Armored Assault Tank (AAT™) set, which makes me very happy to give it our highest recommendation.
To start off with, the minifigures are fantastic with two Battle droids to pilot the tank as well as a 332nd Clone Trooper and Ahsoka herself. The detail in the prints of these figures are fantastic, these really are top quality. Ahsoka has two different expressions and the Trooper has a new face with a slightly darker skin tone to better match the actor for the Clones. It would have been nice to get two of the new Clones but there are more than enough characters included for the price. While many have pointed out the odd proportions and inaccuracies of the tank build, I personally think it looks fine and has some really nice colours and details. If you are looking for perfect accuracy, then maybe this isn't for you.I personally love the set, amazing job by LEGO!
This is just a $40 set and it is my favorite and I have a lot of LEGO sets. I definitely recommend it. It looks great is fun to build and really cool figures. Ahsoka’s head tails are rubber and I love the clone trooper. I rather have plain battle droids but it can give me a bigger green version army of them because I already have 2 of the green versions from the AT-AP. The AAT is cool in the dark blue version which means it is a Separatist version of the AAT. I like these blue AATs better than the tan Trade Federation versions. The top of the AAT turns smoothly and a figure can fit in both areas. The top might look to small to close with a battle droid in it but if you take away the blaster from his hand and fold the droid you can close the top. The instructions were a little bit confusing at the beginning of the instructions but I figured it out. The blue blends in the the other blue pieces in the instructions but just make sure you build it in a area that has some light then it will be easier to see. One of the spring loaded shooters rejects the dart sometimes but I should be getting a replacement one soon. Other than that I think you should get it.
The two minifigures were the biggest selling point for me in this set. This is a great for a fun build and minifigs; this is not a great for building an army of Ashoka clone troopers nor screen accuracy. The good:* The clone trooper and Ashoka minifigures are beautiful.* The ATT is well balanced regardless of turret orientation.* The ATT utilizes a lot of interesting building techniques resulting in a fun build.* Only two stickers that are easily applied. The neutral:* Price per piece is a bit high compared to all LEGO sets, but relatively in-line within the LEGO Star Wars theme.* This set would be much more compelling if a second Ashoka's clone trooper was included. The not so good:* Ashoka's head piece is oversized compared to the way she appears ... MoreThe two minifigures were the biggest selling point for me in this set. The AAT comes with 2 mini figures, 2 droids and a tank. Figures: Set comes with an “Ahsoka” Clone trooper, Ahsoka Tano and 2 battle droids Pros: Clone trooper looks great with the Ahsoka paint and is exclusive to this set (For now) Ahsoka looks very accurate to the tv series, and we finally got the pilot droid we’ve wanted plus the print on them looks great. Cons: they reused the adult “tentacles” on Ahsoka when the should have used the clone wars one. Pretty much the same story with here face too. Tank: the tank comes with 5 “guns” 2 seats for battle droids and 2 spring loaded shooters. Pros: This AAT is much better than the previous models in the way it flows while the others are much more blocky. It’s nice to have 2 pilot seats on a vehicle like this. Pros: This AAT is much better than the previous models in the way it flows while the others are much more blocky. It’s nice to have 2 pilot seats on a vehicle like this. The antennas are very well placed. This set is very fun to play with and is a great army builder unlike most of the sets coming out lately. Cons: Let’s face it this set is 10 bucks too expensive the 501st clone trooper pac has pretty much as much value and this thing is 10$ more. They TOTALLY could have added like a container part in the back or something instead of just throwing in a 4x2 window brick. Its kinda annoying having to push the battle droids head down in the Top turret. The guns are mostly wrong, the front gun is about 2x too long plus the other gun should be switched up and down (Even tho these flaws are annoying you can easily fix them if you have a decent amount of bricks) plus the side guns are pretty flimsy. Over all this set deserves a 9/10 just because of the play value and how great this is for setting up battles.
This is a good set, with only a couple of stickers. The build was nice, and quite quick. However, whilst building the turret, it kept falling apart in my hand, although that hasn't been a problem since it was attached it to the rest of the tank. The mini figs are good, however another clone trooper would have been nice. The barrel of the gun is a bit too long, as mentioned in other reviews. The gun does keep falling off, and that's a pain (please don't say about a build mistake here Lego). The side weapons are very loose and prone to falling off. However, apart from these small flaws it is a decent set. Also, could we please see some more separatist based sets, as this is literally the only one you can currently get, and even it is retiring in a few months. Thank you.
As someone who has built Star Wars LEGOs since they first began, I am surprisingly pleased with this little tank. I've built all the versions of the AAT that proceeded this one. While I do not think this one the best, something about it is aesthetically pleasing. I do have some complaints, chiefly that the cannon is too long, the turret looks too big for the body, and the entire set is on the small side. I also take issue with the detailing being inaccurate. However, even with these in mind, I am pleased that I acquired this set, and it is rather pleasing to the eye as it sits on my desk. The design is sleek and very modern looking, with LEGO employing new building techniques that have paid off wonderfully. I would have liked to have seen the set be closer in size ... MoreAs someone who has built Star Wars LEGOs since they first began, I am surprisingly pleased with this little tank. I would have liked to have seen the set be closer in size and detail to the 2009 model, but these gripes were not enough to stop me from buying it. On the topic of buying, however, I must take issue with the price tag. $40 for a set this small? LEGOs have steadily increased in price over the years, but the cost of this one set is ridiculous. If you've got money to spend or are an avid collector, then you won't be disappointed. If, however, you are on a budget and looking to get the best bang for your buck, you may want to consider other sets. Overall, I would recommend this set for Star Wars and LEGO fans, and definitely to fans of both like myself!
