I recently purchased a new Lenovo IdeaPad 3 from Melectronics (Okt. 2022). The hardware is generally ok but lacking a LAN connection J45 and spare USB connections, so Iâll buy an external USB 4x box to connect a printer cable and external hard drive etc. Internet connection is via an external adapter connector (cost CHF 37.) USB to J45. Not wanting to use WiFi for ebanking etc. The right side USB is for my mouse and Keyboard dongle. Windows 11 installation was ok after a crash, updating Win11 and questions about their forced marketing/selling options, it is now operating well. I really like my computer but I do have a few gripes. The biggest is the keyboard layout. There's little space on the arm rest for the left wrist. The keyboard leans heavily toward the right side (which I'll admit, I somehow flat out didn't realize it has a number pad, which I have no need for), making some keys very awkward to reach for, such as the left ctrl key and the backspace key, which I feel could be a little bigger. Also, the corners of this laptop are rather pointed. If using the computer in your lap, especially cross-legged, the right corner jabs into the right wrist. I usually have an indention when I pull away.If you can get through that, though, this is a lovely computer, lol. It's the fastest computer I've owned so far (granted, the last laptops I've had were a cheap purchase from a pawn shop that didn't have a hard drive and a laptop I bought back when Windows Vista existed...not exactly the pinnacles of new technology). But this computer starts up and powers down in seconds. I'm sure that'll slow down as the years go by, but I'm relishing it for the time being. The screen is vibrant and the audio on it is decent though I can't comment on this too much as I prefer to use it with earbuds (though I have a pair of Skullcandy headphones that can use an app when on mobile and I don't need to tweak the equilizer on the laptop because the default sound from Spotify and the computer are perfect right from the get-go).As for pushing the graphics, I've yet to do that but I wouldn't turn to this for a gaming laptop. I sometimes play Pokemon TCG Online (which is soon to be retired as of the time I'm writing this) and it can experience some lag and that game only has a few graphics for the attacks and when playing a card. If that's enough to cause some faltering, this isn't going to hold up to your favorite FPS game or anything similar. Point and click games like Papers, Please are probably better to stick with (Glory to Arstozka!)Ahem.I would give this computer a 3.5 star rating, due to those issues I mentioned at the start (there's also a review here about the type of display advertised not being correct, to which I'm inclined to believe. It's still crisp and bright, but misadvertising is misadvertising so another point lost for that). For school, work, or non graphic-intensive playing, this is an ideal computer. Overall, I don't regret my purchase and would recommend it to someone else with the asterisk to maybe stick to using it on a flat surface to avoid the wrist jabs.

After reading countless reviews on computers that can run the Adobe Suite programs, I chose this computer because on paper it had all the requirements to handle programs like Adobe Illustrator, along with the fact that I wouldn't have to spend thousands of dollars on something like a Mac, or gaming PC. I couldn't have been more wrong. Upon installing the programs, this device CANNOT handle programs like illustrator. I wish I was exaggerating when I say that sometimes it would take over 1 hour to open my computer and have it run ANYTHING. It's constant updates, coupled with it's weak processing power, really do make for a miserable experience. It's constant updates, coupled with it's weak processing power, really do make for a miserable experience. I have had family and friends ask if I would recommend this computer, or even this brand for that matter, and I have ALWAYS advised against buying this computer, and brand. It's been absolutely the worst computer experience for me in all my years of using a computer, which is saying a lot since I learned about computers when there were still floppy disks. Do yourself a favor when thinking about buying a computer for programs like illustrator. Just shell out the extra money and get a brand, or model, that is tried and true when it comes to these things. I totally understand that many people can't afford to spend that much money on a computer, as I considered myself a part of that group, but you will definitely save on lost time, which some would argue is more important than money, as well as the mental anguish of staring at a constant spinning wheel of death while this "computer" is working to open up anything. Save yourself the aggravation, grief, etc., and buy something that will work.
I actually made a purchase for this Laptop back in late February of this year! It was on sale at a good price. I am picky about electronic products. Especially Laptop/PCs. I use this laptop for not only home use but mainly for college. I love this laptop! I almost purchased the Microsoft surface pc. Reason why I didn't because I was debating on sale prices and how soon I can get a good laptop. I also looked at other laptops but other ones I've looked at for certain features weren't on sale. I love the fact that this laptop has a blacklit keyboard if I'm up at night I like to see the keyboard as I'm typing. Most affordable laptops in general don't have this feature. I also enjoy the touchscreen. I honestly didn't do much research on this laptop all I got out of it ... MoreI actually made a purchase for this Laptop back in late February of this year! I also enjoy the touchscreen. I honestly didn't do much research on this laptop all I got out of it was that the keyboard lights up, fingerprint sign in, recommend use for students. I swear the summary of description from Target is where I purchased at didn't say anything about it being touchscreen. I found out that it was about a day or two after purchasing (haha). Which made me happy, I decided to keep after getting the "feel" of this laptop and that's why I didn't purchase the Surface Pro. But I do like that it also provides fast web use as well.
A year ago I bought an IdeaPad 3 (11th gen. i5, 8GB, 256 SSD). I had a short-term need for a computer and the low price way key. It quickly became my primary workstation due to a great keyboard and touch-pad. The screen isn't as bright as some, but in normal environments is fine. It has been flawless, and does what I need it to.When my backup computer died I picked up the current generation IdeaPad 3i (12 gen i5, 8GB, 256 SSD) and again added 16GB RAM. The new one has 8 GB soldered with an open slot so I now have a 24GB 10 CPU core workstation for a bargain price - the sale prices are key. Between my two IdeaPads I can run a lot of VMs simultaneously for dev. work. Between my two IdeaPads I can run a lot of VMs simultaneously for dev. work. The ability to upgrade RAM is not common in value-line laptops now.It is not the lightest computer, but is not heavy. Build quality is good but not cheep - the plastics are resiliant and the hinge is very solid. Battery life isn't great if you push it hard - but that is true on most laptops. I appreciate the no-frills design that just works and gets my work done.
IdeaPad 3i - 15ITL6 with 8GB RAM and 1TB HDD is a decent laptop, but as it is configured from the factory, it has several issues that causes the system to perform very poorly as many reviewers and indicated. The two main issues are the 1TB HDD drive and the factory configuration. The upgrading to SSD drive will significantly improve the system performance. The bloatware and One Drive setup are causing disk usage to be pegged at 100%.I made the following changes to make the laptop to perform at an acceptable level still using the factory installed 1TB HDD.1. Uninstalled the McAfee. Using the built-in Windows virus protection.2. Stopped the One Drive backup. From settings, Accounts, click on "Set up syncing" and stopped all backups. Uninstalled the McAfee. Using the built-in Windows virus protection.2. Stopped the One Drive backup. From settings, Accounts, click on "Set up syncing" and stopped all backups. From my experiences, One Drive backup can really slow the system down especially on a slow HDD. Use your own backup method.3. Uninstalled Lenovo Vantage. Also uninstalled Lenovo Help / Support application. I keep on getting Lenovo help popups and I know this is also slowing the system down.4. Performed the Windows update. This took a really long time on a slow HDD. I would say that it took about 4 hours to complete. I used the Task Manager to watch the disk usage and until Windows update was finally completed (after many updates and restarts), the disk usage finally became normal (no longer at 100% usage). Until the Windows update is completely finished (about 4 hours), attempt to use the system for any other purpose is NOT possible. Be sure to complete all Windows updates before attempting to use the laptop. After these changes, the laptop works reasonably well. It is still little slow to boot up, shutdown and start the browser application, but it is acceptable.Next, I will upgrade to the SSD drive. This should make the system work almost as good as Windows 10 (but Windows 11 is still slower). I saw another post, the reviewer installed fresh Windows 10 instead. This would be the best, but it is also the most work. I have not used Windows 11 until now, so I will upgrade to the SSD drive and keep Windows 11 and that should make the laptop perform fairly well.Hope this helps someone who is considering purchasing this laptop. With little bit a work, you can get a decent working laptop at a reasonable price. Some other limitation is the USB C port is only for data, so you can't connect external display via USB C. Also, HDMI is only 1.4b, so really only 1k external display support. The battery life seems little bit on a short side (I have not completely discharged yet), but my guess is around 3 hours of typical usage.

Seriously concerned about Warranty period displayed in a couple areas. My unit manufactured 08/16/2021. Warranty shows start date of 09/23/2021, ending 09/23/2022. Problem is I just purchase it on 06/13/2022. Packaging had security seal in tact, saw no signs of prior ownership and initial setup felt like a clean install so donât know why I might have only about 4-5 months left on a new product warranty. If true and I have issues, then Staples and/or Lenovo had better stand behind the product because I expect at least one full year warranty on a new product.Other thoughts:âUnit came with 4GBs RAM but will add another 8GBs after market for $32 which is a good deal.--Spent about one full day downloading Windows 11 updates before installing any third party software, eliminating unwanted bloatware then finalizing personal adjustments to system. All went well and Iâm happy.âKeep an eye on the McAfee Security software, itâs a 30 day trial program so take care of that ASAP. Iâm using, like and trust AVG. Immediately uninstalled the Microsoft 365 suite, always use WordPerfect and LibreOffice.
After seeing a positive review for this item on a popular social media channel, I chose to buy this model. To its credit, Walmart shipped the item overnight at no additional charge; I had the item barely 24 hours after ordering it.I've been working with computers for over 20 years now -- and currently own three laptops. My aim was to have this Lenovo replace a nine-year-old Acer (still in superior condition, and can fly -- but with an aging HDD.) My aim was to have this Lenovo replace a nine-year-old Acer (still in superior condition, and can fly -- but with an aging HDD.) All of my computers have AMD processors; in my view (and that of many, many others), AMD CPUs/GPUs generally offer better graphics performance than comparable Intel chips. After spending several hours with the Lenovo, I can attest that, with some simple tweaks (turning off unneeded services and adding some third-party debloating software), the AMD 5500u is lightning fast. However -- and this is a big however for people who care about graphics performance -- the ultra fast speed appears to come at the expense of graphics performance.Notably, one can enter the Lenovo's BIOS and adjust the amount of VRAM. But doing so appears to make no difference. Picture and text quality are always slightly blurry and grainy; and video performance is particularly poor. Indeed, I've noticed the same characteristics in other AMD Ryzen fourth generation (the 4000 series) and fifth generation (the 5000) series models: blazing fast processing speeds -- coupled with lesser graphics and video quality. By way of comparison, I have an Acer with a Ryzen 3 3200u processor (third generation), with very good speed and outstanding graphics/video quality.I've returned the Lenovo; and while I still prefer AMD chips, I'd also recommend a third generation chip, rather than a fourth or fifth generation one. Microsoft has said Windows 11 will work with third generation AMD chips, which is a positive. The one negative, however, may be that finding a major brand laptop with such a chip may be a challenge.

And after every restart it became slow during the first 20 minutes and a few hours later. I bought before a lot other Lenovo IdeaPad cor i3 10gen different model to our office staff and it was amazing. But this model of laptop works much slower than previous models.I donât know why Lenovo, knowing this problem of a bad product, is still selling it and get bad reputation. Lenovo should take all of this Laptop from the market and change them with another one good Cor I3 11 gen
