Excellent Picture, Backlighting, & Font Handling but Glossy Screen

Once you tweak the out of box settings you will see a much better handling of saturation, blacks, colour accuracy, and font sharpness. There as premade setting for picture and the Movie option really blurs the fonts to smooth out movies but I did not use that and rather tweaked it to my liking. I love the size and format and I also love that the back is metal, not plastic, however the super glossy finish on the screen is just not going to work for me and Adobe CS. I bought this monitor a year ago and genuinely love it. Picture is great and being totally honest I've had no problems with it. The stand could be more supportive-for example-I find my monitor leans forward from the top a bit but nothing to be really concerned with. The price was fantastic and the size of the monitor is totally worth the price. I love the settings as most monitors don't offer the same settings for viewing and clarity. Other monitors I've purchased in the past have never lasted as long as this one or remained working as well. I have read the reviews posted here but to be sincere and totally honest-this monitor is worth buying. Why pay more money for a monitor when this particular monitor gives you everything you need but at a decent inexpensive price?!

The Most Beautiful & Functional Monitor I have Ever Owned
9 June 2017

I bought this monitor specifically because of its color, and also its size. A remodel of my home office left my old black monitor sticking out like a sore thumb in a beautifully designed new room in grays and whites. This monitor looked handsome in the pictures, but it is even more so in real life! The screen is amazing and bright and looks good with both my PC and Mac. I love the simplicity of being able to access the monitor's settings with the single button conveniently located under the middle front of the monitor, out of view so as not to ruin the aesthetics of the monitor. It has a shiny white finish which looks stunning on my desk and the base is simple and stable. The only thing about this monitor I found to be a bit lacking was the number and variety of video connection ports. One HDMI and one VGA for primary connections is only just sufficient, I would've liked at least 2 HDMI ports and perhaps a Thunderbolt Port on a fantasy wish list. All-in-all, a wonderful and strikingly beautiful monitor for a reasonable price!

[Rewarded Review] Eye Relief at last
23 April 2018

I received this as a gift from my hubby for my birthday. I had been using two smaller monitors and I swear I was squinting at the screens to read emails, pay bills, look at websites, etc. This 32-inch LED monitor is crisp in detail and big in view and rich in colors; my eyes have relaxed - the eye strain is gone! The monitor is very light in weight (so easy to move) and slim in width (does not take up all your space). This is the first monitor I have used with the ability to split your viewing screen in a variety of ways. OnScreen Control software allows me to set up the monitor where I can have 3-4 apps/files open at the same time and they stay within those screen areas. This makes paying bills simple. [Rewarded Review] Great monitor but limited with Mac OS 11
22 February 2021

I have an LG TV and Android smart phone, so LG is a trusted brand in my book.I bought this to use as a second monitor with my older model iMac. After I made the online purchase, the iMac died. Thinking to save a few bucks, I opted to buy a Mac Mini and use the LG as the main monitor, since it was already on order through Amazon. However, there seem to be persisting issues with LG monitors and Mac OS 11 Big Sur, which is the OS that ships with the new Mac Mini.First, I had connectivity problems: I went through two direct connection cables from Best Buy and a third using an adaptor, none of which worked. Ultimately, I purchased an HDMI cable from Apple which finally allowed a connection. The main problem I am having is the lack of full feature functions of the LG ... MoreI have an LG TV and Android smart phone, so LG is a trusted brand in my book.I bought this to use as a second monitor with my older model iMac. Ultimately, I purchased an HDMI cable from Apple which finally allowed a connection. The main problem I am having is the lack of full feature functions of the LG monitor. I can use it as a basic monitor but cannot access the split screen capabilities or other fine tuning controls. OnScreen Control (LG download) displays the controls on the monitor, but they are grayed out. (Amusingly, the OSC window opens with a notice that "there is no connected monitor.")Note that Apple provides a download patch that is supposed to overcome the inability of OSC and OS 11 to communicate. It seems to work, but not 100%, at least in my case.I have communicated with LG and Apple about this: LG has responded with various solutions, none of which have worked. I give them credit for trying. I have had no response from Apple. The Apple message boards show that I am not alone in this; other LG monitor users are having issues, especially with Big Sur. They also seem to be lacking in feedback from Apple.Apple has provided two updates to OS 11 as of this writing, and one of them has allowed me a little more usability with the monitor: it has ceased flickering when using certain tools in Photoshop. This monitor was offered at a great price, which along with the good reviews and specs, made it a practical purchase at the time. I am too heavily invested to replace this monitor at this time. It's usable, I can get by, but it's a far cry from what I was hoping for as a computer monitor. On the flip side, as a TV, it's 5 stars for watching videos. Great screen. Great resolution.

[Rewarded Review] LG locked in during lock-down
12 November 2020

Due to COVID-19 I had no choice initially but to work from home and needed to quickly setup an home office. I always knew LG was a great brand, so decided to get a 32" LG monitor, and LG by far offered the best value - including having a 3-year warranty. It was easy to setup and offers different preset profiles in terms of virtually splitting the screen, enabling me to in effect have 2 monitors. Needless to say, the quality is fantastic and I am very happy with it. It makes working from home very comfortable, and I am now continuing to work from home 2 days a week. I would highly recommend this product. Thanks LG.

[Rewarded Review] Well done LG. Super Monitor. Excellent value.
18 November 2020

I am a 77 year old and started in computers in 1975. My first PC monitor was a 12" B&W TV which I converted to be a video monitor for my first PC.These days I am basically retired, but build web sites for my daughter.I recently purchased the LG 32MP58HQ-P 32" monitor, and it is truly a work of art, and extremely well priced. Resolution in superb even for old tired eyes like mine.I don't know why I waited so long to get a really decent monitor.Well done LG.

[Rewarded Review] great quality and value for money

Pros:1. Great value for money compared to same sized monitors of other brands.2. 3 year warranty is a great incentive3. "Reading mode" is the in-built blue light filter which is a great feature4. Joystick control button is simple to use to change the settingsOpportunities for Improvement:1. I didn't realise until about 6 months after purchase that there's a quick way of turning the power off, by depressing the joystick and then pointing it downwards to select the menu option on the screen, rather than doing a long press which was a little frustrating (for at least 5 seconds) - this is more due to my oversight rather than a disadvantage of the product however2. this display does not connect with some computers
17 March 2020

I have two different computers (windows), with the first one the display works after some time and with the second the display doesn't work. I already installed all drivers to try to make it work and it didn't work. my wife already tried to use her computer (Mac) and it also didn't work (in this case we don't try to put the drivers). The only thing that the display works well is google chromecast. before buying this product i had a huge confidence in LG products but after this bad experience i no longer have the courage to recommend other LG products.
