In a day and age where most people are looking for all the gadgets and gimmicks they can afford, my wife and I wanted a fridge/freezer that was large and roomy and without all the "stuff" that most fridges seem to come with now. We don't need the chilled water dispensers, the built-in ice cube makers or the 'Knock On Glass' lighting windows. We carefully researched all the various models in our price range and the GF-B730MBL stood out as leagues ahead of the competition in terms of suiting our needs. The use of space in both the fridge and freezer sections is excellent and we particularly like the depth of the door storage and the different shelf configurations in the doors. In all, we love the fridge and find it very practical and versatile. Someone put a great deal of thought into what, at first glance, seems to be a very simple fridge/freezer. It's early days yet to comment on quality but we both agree that even already, it's light years ahead of the F & P RF610ADUX1 that we bought a few years ago. That fridge, right from the start felt poorly designed and average quality. That's why we we were so careful in choosing this fridge. If we were to be very picky, the door handles (or lack of) would be our only criticism. The recesses for the freezer doors are great and easy to use. Don't change them. The fridge doors are easy to open but hard to close gently. When you have an item in each hand, it's nearly impossible to stop the doors from slamming. A vertical recess would be much easier on this respect and would still allow for the overall smooth facade that is very appealing. Speaking of which, the matt black looks great!

Great Fridge
15 April 2022

My husband and I love this fridge. No more wasted fruit and veges that are lost and forgotten in the bottom of the fridge as you can see the fruit and vege drawers as soon as you open the door. This fridge looks great, works well, is super quiet and fits sooo much (we can store 3 x 3L milk containers in one door shelf). The freezer section also holds so much more than anticipated. When my parents visited, we were showing off our new fridge and they were so impressed they went and brought one too! It's hard to get a better recommendation than that!

Great capacity fridge, no needless novelties.
18 March 2022

We wanted a replacement for our black Bosch French door fridge. The LG was best size and biggest capacity to fit with clearance surrounding it to not hinder the compressor. TIP: Check all dimensions before buying this, also measure entry door to house, I had to take mine off the hinges so the delivery guys could get it in the house. We were concerned about the colour black getting scratches and whether it was still as magnetic as a regular fridge. It comes with protective film which we left on and the magnets stick on, even with the film. We didn’t go for the novelty knock on glass door or the water/ice machine as we had so much trouble with our previous fridge. We didn’t go for the novelty knock on glass door or the water/ice machine as we had so much trouble with our previous fridge. The ice machine would make noises at random times of the day or night and a lot of times we’d find a puddle of water in front of our fridge either from the water or the ice. Most people didn’t want ice or ice water anyway, they’re content with tap water. The four doors are great, you can open up just one door for what you need or two to get greater access to the fridge. There are plenty of bright lights in the fridge, also lights in the freezer section, also the lights are flush so they don’t take up fridge space. The fridge is almost completely silent, however I have caught it a couple of times making a slightly louder humming noise that only lasts a few minutes. One thing with this fridge we noticed is that the upper doors can slam quite hard and fast if you’re not careful which shakes everything on the inside of the door. We’ve had our fridge for two and a half months now and are very happy with it. It looks great, has a large capacity, long warranty, also there’s no more drama’s with novelty items. We got it for a good price from Harvey Norman. We had them price match a lesser known appliance online website, saving about $600.

Incredibly spacious, well designed, and looks quite nice as well
9 August 2022

It is quite a challenge to fill this fridge as it has a lot of room and available places to store food and beverages in a well organised manner. We got this "basic" version as we did not want to lose the internal space used by features like a water dispenser, ice maker or those small beverage doors in the front. The freezer is quite large and has lots of places to organise things. The black version looks quite nice on our kitchen, so it was worth the extra price. Its not noisy, and the led lights allow you to see quite well inside. You can adjust the internal shelves a bit as they are not joined together, so you can put each half at different heights. LG French Door fridge
16 November 2022

Looks spectacular and does not leave finger marks - was a major concern as we were use to an old school Maytag that was brilliant in this respect. Well illuminated and things are easy to find once you remember which side you put them in. Deceptively accommodating as when transferring from old fridge we thought it would fall well short. The only complaint is the slope at the back as it comes down to solid shelf at base of fridge as this limits use. Crispers could be bigger. Freezer is very user friendly. Exceptionally quiet.

Plenty of space
2 July 2021

This fridge is huge, ample of space in the fridge door to store all sauces, condiments, milk and drink bottles. Door baskets are week designed to maximise space while keeping things organized. We upgraded to this fridge to increase freezer space for periods of Covid-19 lockdowns, I can store much more ingredients and frozen meals than a growing family of 4 needs. Having no door handles is a bit tricky to get used to as we sometimes let go the door resulting in it slamming shut. Kids dirty hands resulted in many prints around the door recess, but easy to clean with a damp cloth. I wish the freezer shelves are flat, the slight curve makes storing things awkward. Would be nice to have 4 drawers and 2 shelves in freezer instead of 2 drawers and 4 shelves.

Wonderful fridge! Four doors, all of which open and close independently. No magic dance required to use either veggie bin, accessible without opening both doors. There's three brightly lit LED panels inside the fridge, and the freezer is lit by LEDs that down light from inside the recessed handles of the fridge above, when you open either or both freezer doors. Plenty of light to see the two pull out shelves, and drawer, and the shelves in the door hold plenty. If you are stepping up from a smaller fridge, you may find the fridge doors a little heavy, and awkward at first, without a vertical, external handle to grab if it starts to close before you're ready. Just be purposeful about closing the door, and there won't be any unexpected slamming. The bins in the fridge door hold a huge amount, being wider than usual, so a 2L milk is no problem. Like the shelves, everything is eye level, and nothing gets hidden from view. Because of the directed air flow in the fridge, the doors are constantly cooled, and just as cold as the rest of the fridge. The fridge is not only truly elegant, it is literally whisper quiet, and for the first few days i would open the door just to make sure it was working! The last surprise up it's sleeve, is a compartment on either side, in the floor in front of the veggie bins. They have a slide back glass lid, perfect for snacks, cheese, or sandwich meats. Also a good place to defrost meat, as long as it was purpose packed for the compartment. They are really hard to see in most of the photos you'll see, both here and elsewhere you research, but you'll enjoy them as part of the clever storage in your beautiful new fridge. And before I forget, the fridge came with a gorgeous acrylic egg keeper, and a removable, twist out, ice maker and storer. It's an awesome fridge, impressive in every way, and I'm very grateful to Appliances Online, for supplying it at a price lower than everywhere else, with free delivery, skillful instillation, and no cost removal of the old one.

Three shelves in the fridge wasted capacity

Very disappointed with this fridge. Supposed to have 50% capacity increase to my old fridge which had 4 shelves so automatically there's little difference. They should have included another shelf. You can't even buy another shelf because they haven't allowed for slots to adjust the different shelf heights. You can't open the right side fruit door without also opening the left door because there is a metal flexible seal that blocks door movement. And then that metal seal is like a door handle which it is not so by habit you could break it. No egg holder and could also have placed an extra side door shelf on at least one side Another major problem is the front has one centre wheel which bears all the load so if you have floorboards it leaves indents in the polish.
