I agree with other reviewers who said that the lotion is difficult to get out of the bottle because it is so thick, but that thickness also makes it more concentrated and less messy to apply than most lotions or creams, and, despite the thickness, I have found it to be well absorbed. I just remove the lid all together (easy since it is a screw-top) and pour/dump out what I need.I'm not sure whether it is the vanilla-like scent or the magnesium or both, but I definitely sleep better when I use this on my neck and legs just before bedtime, and it soothes my dry, itchy, legs like nothing else. Excellent!

I love to use this oil in my bath. It is great quality & the scent is a nice vanilla. I have scoliosis & sleep issues, this helps my back whilst also relaxing me to help sleep which is a huge benefit. I have really sensitive skin and this doesn't give me any reaction, it's gentle & doesn't dry out my skin. It feels really nice. The bottle is a good size too for the price. You don't need to use a huge amount. The package of the bottle is good as you don't accidentally pour huge amounts in the bath.

Helpful but has changed

This is the second bottle I've purchased of Life-flo magnesium lotion. The first one was pure perfection! Smelled wonderful, like vanilla, extremely concentrated so you just need a tiny amount, and really helped relieve pain! I panicked when the pandemic hit since I couldn't find this anywhere and have a long-term injury. Finally when this came back on the market, it's changed, as indicated by the ingredients list. It now stings my hands when I apply it and doesn't work as well. It's also not as concentrated, so I don't know if that's just my bottle, but if I'd bought it like this the first time, I don't know whether I'd have been so desperate for another. Migraines gone!

I am so grateful to have discovered transdermal magnesium. I had nearly daily migraines for a year and a half. I could not tolerate oral magnesium, and finally decided to try using this twice daily. I started with Life-Flo's magnesium "oil" spray, 6-8 sprays two times per day, and after the 4th or 5th day, migraines were gone!!! I switched to the lotion because of its convenience. The spray made my skin itch and sting terribly, and I would layer my own lotion over it to make it stop (that works, and it was absolutely worth it to get rid of the headaches.) But this lotion doesn't itch or sting. I like not having to go through the stinging, and this works just as well to keep migraines away. It is pretty strongly scented. I'm glad it's vanilla, because I wouldn't tolerate another scent so strong. And I'm glad it's a natural fragrance: the ingredients do not list "fragrance." Instead, they list "natural vanilla oil." I like the scent, but I wish Life-Flo also had an unscented choice. This is also a consistency that moisturizes skin. Magnesium chloride is a salt, and it dries skin, so that is helpful, especially since I already have dry skin. Look at the ingredients - good stuff!

My third bottle

I started using this lotion because magnesium supplements all upset my sensitive stomach. I read that transdermal magnesium is a good alternative. I've tried the magnesium oil sprays, but I didn't like the sticky feeling and sometimes it irritated my skin. This lotion really hydrates my skin and has a nice, light scent. It also helps with tight muscles. The only downside is that it is really thick and hard to rub in, but my solution to that is to apply it after a shower while my skin is still wet.

Oh, I love two-in-ones, I mean, when you get several things in one bottle for the price of one. This is both a great body lotion and a source of magnesium.Not that I really need a body lotion in our blessed Sydney climate but I do have a few body lotions/butters and keep forgetting to use them. Yep, even those that smell so yummy you want to eat them. Well, too strong and too yummy, for my taste anyway.I am also deficient in magnesium (judging by my translucent teeth) and want to get as much magnesium as possible. I have been taking it internally and was looking for ways to get it transdermally as well. Rumor has it transdermal way is the best way for magnesium. I could not make myself do magnesium foot baths or rub magnesium oil onto my skin. So, no I kept forgetting rubbing anything into my skin... until this lotion has arrived.This lotion smells divine but not too strong that it becomes overwhelming (like too many body lotions out there).
