This is the first rowing machine that I've purchased. I had a look at a number of others and have no regrets finally settling on the Lifespan Rower 442. It arrived well packaged and was easy to assemble. The instruction manual that came with it was clear and easy to follow. It feels sturdy enough and in no time it was up and running, or rather, I was up and rowing! The rower is pretty quiet and there's no problem of disturbing the neighbours even though I've put it in my backyard under my pergola so I can exercise outdoors. As a beginner who didn't want to spend too much on my first buy, the Lifespan Rower 442 is certainly a value for money purchase and I hope to be looking fit and toned in no time!

I bought this machine to create a little home gym along with one of the cheaper cross trainers. This rower is perfect for what I need it for. I'm not sure what I was expecting given how affordable this machine is but I've been pleasantly surprised. I'm only 60kg and not the strongest but the tension is still great and I've had no complaints in regards to the quality or sturdiness of it. It also folds up and doesn't take up a lot of space. I have been using it for about 15 minutes each day and I'm really happy with my purchase, it's already helping me build muscle and tone up.

The Lifespan rower 442 has the professional capabilities as the quality name brands such as York, but the price is comparative to inferior brands such as Infinity. It is difficult to imagine how anyone would not be anything but impressed with this machine. The benefits: 1. It has 12 tensions to benefit beginners and those wanting to maintain their fitness level. 2. It is very quiet. 3. The dual magnetic system means greater durability. 4. Lightweight with wheels for easy portability. 5. Easy assembly.

It has been used daily in my house by the whole family from age 12 through to 45 and everybody has found it really easy to unfold from it's folded up position to ready to go mode. My only concern is that when it is folded up the seat rests on the tension dial and will leave it indented after a while. After using an inferior rower for a short while, I was in the market for a top value-for-money machine. Having done some research I settled on the Lifespan 442. The features suited my needs and the price was right. The machine was very easy to assemble and straight away the step up in build quality from my previous rower was evident. It feels sturdier and operates comfortably in a smoother, quieter manner. The 12 resistance settings, combined with the different modes on the display module, give me plenty of room for an increased range of training. In the short time I have had the machine I have found it exceeding all my expectations and I look forward to many years of quality service.

It took about half an hour to unbox and put together, and comes with all the tools you need plus easy-to-follow instructions, which also show you how to open up the main body for maintenance of the flywheel. The battery for the computer is also easy to access and replace. The rower has a small footprint, great for a cramped house, and can be easily folded and wheeled around. It feels very strong with no flexing or rattling, the nylon cord is heavy duty and the plastic parts are thick and solid. The seat is comfortable and the pedals rest at just the right angle. Want to have a cardio machine as the gym is not open. I don't want to spend too much nor buying a a cheap but poor quality one. Did a lot of research. Bought this one, because most feedback was good. I was concerned that the resistance is not high enough from the review. But I was happily surprised. I am a very strong gym junk type of woman, I found even dial 8 gives me a great workout. And I still have 4 dial to go. I am 175cm tall, I think it can at least fit a person 10 cm taller than me. Highly recommended. My husband tried, and he liked it too. Great value.
This is a very good product in terms of its quality and functionality. The seat slides well and the magnetic flywheel works well. The resistance knob works fine. It is light and well built and folds up easily. it was easy to set up and the instructions are clear. However if you are of a smaller build (say less than 165cm) then the level at which the rowing handle sits is quite high so your shoulders do not sit upright. In additional the foot rests are very large and the velcro straps may not allow you to get as tight fit to you foot as you would want. The foot rests are also spread apart, so again you may not have perfect alignment with your hips.
Previously I used a Hydraulic Rowing Machine which felt awkward and was noisy to use, but this Magnetic Rowing Machine is smooth, comfortable and very quiet. Only issue with assembly was getting everything out of the box, but once that is overcome assembly is very quick and easy with only around a dozen parts and a handful of screws. The seat slides smoothly and is very comfortable and the tension setting are very east to use. The LCD screen display is simple and easy to follow. I chose this model as it seems to have more to offer than other models around the same price range, with more tension levels and higher max weight (which in my opinion means sturdier build), I also highly recommend this Rowing Machine as it is definitely good value for money.
