This product looks exactly as depicted when assembled. Not for the novice assembler though! We have some experience and are adept at following instructions and it took us the best part of three hours. The shorter ends had to be adjusted, levered in with a screwdriver and then tapped down into place with a rubber mallet. The earlier reviewer who mentioned the lid not shutting properly must have encountered this as well. Also, the instructions are not overly clear at the beginning so make sure you really get the left/right positioning correct. We got to the point of putting the assembled lid in place and found the screw holes were toward the front of the box rather than at the rear. Super easy assembly. Did it easily in under an hour. Just make sure you have all your tools and your power drill is charged. The BILT app instructions were straightforward and broken down into manageable chunks.

I did my red reach on outdoor storage boxes. This seems to be the best one available due to quality, 10 year warranty and longevity.Doesn’t seem flimsy at all and you can put it together with one person only. Make sure you have the right tools.Storage box will be kept outside on our balcony exposed to all elements.

I was a little concerned with the quality after reading some reviews here, but thankfully it was pretty seamless. Maybe Lifetime improved their quality control. I had familiarised myself with the instruction PDF, downloaded from the Lifetime site before purchase, and all looked pretty straight forward. The only quality issue was the pressing mold of the floor as a few of the slots for the front and rear panels were not correctly formed. Cut these to the correct keyhole shape and a firm slide secured these tightly. The blister card with the various securing hardware was a nice touch, so very easy. Everything aligned, secured, straight and true--I still don't know why they would suggest a mallet. I bought this a month ago (receipt long gone) and finally got around to assembly. Got it half assembled and realised that I got two right hand panels and no left hand panel. Am pretty handy with plenty of tools. Looked like only a couple of newly drilled holes would suffice, but NO, also needed cutting and carving of panels for new grooves. Not only that, but the plastic was too thick to use two of the bolts provided (I had bigger ones in my workshop). The box is "working" but not without much adjustment and fiddling. Would never recommend, and furthermore will avoid all of their other products.
As described, sturdy. Big enough for all our outdoor cushions from our set. It was hard to put together, took a few hours & you need a drill.
This is a very sturdy, well constructed storage box that was very good value compared to other flimsier but similar products at higher prices. Whilst it would be easier to put together with two people, as recommended, I was able to completely assemble this box on my own, and I’m a 74 yr old woman. It’s now in use storing all the inflatables, noodles, and other poolside paraphernalia. Highly recommended
My husband put it together in under an hour with no issues. Got him to watch the utube instructions beforehand. Like a few others have mentioned the lid does not close flat but we can wire it closed where you would add a padlock. Very happy with it.
Good so far with one exception; the front corners of the lid rise a little and don't lock into position creating a small gap at the front of the lid potentially allowing insects in. Not sure how to fix or if down to our piecing this together. Big size which fits all cushion sizes we have.
This storage box is straightfoward to assemble (14 yr old did a lot of it and enjoyed using power tools), though the lid has warped such that it doesn't close exactly in place. A weight on top or a padlock or similar through the clasp would solve this. Fits all our smaller gardening tools, bags of mulch etc, and lounge cushions easily. Quite pleased with the storage box overall.
