We bought this carrier due to all the great reviews. However, it just doesn’t really work for us. First of all, it’s hard to buckle up without someone else’s help since the buckle is on the back, maybe I’m not flexible enough. Secondly, it’s kind of a little big for our baby, whenever we have the baby on, her legs look pretty spread out even when we try to fold the bottom of the carrier as instructed. Maybe it works better for bigger babies. Thirdly, even though we bought the mesh version, we didn’t really feel the difference in coolness during summer and fall. Fourth, its price is also on the higher end. The only good thing about this is that it has some back support which helps a ton when I get backaches easily from standing and carrying the baby.

I bought this 10 months ago, a few weeks before my first child was born. It took a lot of time and research before I decided to go with a Lillebaby and then quite a bit more time before I decided to get the Airflow. I live in Chicago and this carrier is great for our fluctuating weather extremes; even in winter, all you have to do is bundle baby up or wear a babywearing coat and the Airflow, combined with mom's body heat, keeps the baby cozy and warm. There are many reasons to like this carrier: I got the black, so it hides stains well. It has a convenient zipper pocket that can hold car keys, a small wallet, etc. It has a hood that can provide sun protection for baby, be used as a nursing cover while the baby is in the carrier, or be tucked away into its own little ... MoreI bought this 10 months ago, a few weeks before my first child was born. It has a convenient zipper pocket that can hold car keys, a small wallet, etc. It has a hood that can provide sun protection for baby, be used as a nursing cover while the baby is in the carrier, or be tucked away into its own little pocket. What sold me on this brand vs other brands was 1) not only how well padded it is, but the fact that it has lumbar support built in. I've been seeing a chiropractor for chronic neck/shoulder pain for years, so anything that makes things easier on my spine is a plus. 2) No infant insert is needed...one less thing to buy! 3) The Airflow's mesh material keeps you cooler than most carriers. A couple minor annoyances: 1) When my husband wasn't around to help, it was difficult to keep my daughter in place while I snapped the buckle between my shoulder blades. There's a convenient pull-strap to tighten the carrier once it's buckled (which is great) but alas, holding baby with one hand while snapping the 2 pieces together with my other hand is a difficulty with any non-wrap carrier. Especially difficult when you have "mom thumb" aka tendonitis. The other annoyance was that my daughter was born at 7 lbs 6 oz and couldn't use this carrier until she wasover 2 months old because she'd basically be smothered in it, despite the great head support. She didn't really like being in a carrier at all until she could support her own head and enjoy the scenery around her. Again, that's an issue that would arise with any carrier of this style, regardless of brand. My daughter is nearing 9 months old now and loves being in a carrier. She still likes to face me, but I look forward to trying out the forward-facing option soon. This is the best carrier I've used and I recommend it wholeheartedly!

My current carrier The LILLEbaby Airflow Complete 6-in-1 carrier (Cotton and Mesh to help keep you cooler) is my favourite for many reasons. It's well thought out in every way. The design is great with a separate Lumbar Support piece, adjustable padded straps/waist band, neck support, removable mesh hood, zippered pocket, padded back buckle, adjustable seat are the main things. The only back support feature I've found that actually supports your back. For me it made a ginormous difference in comfort and wear ability. I love that it's not sized so more than 1 person can wear it a bonus on an expensive carrier. It can be worn 6 ways, newborn (Without insert) to 45 pounds. My only complaint is the hood is mesh which doesn't really give the same coverage/protection of cotton or nylon hoods and the style blocks baby's view if they are awake. Very minor complaints for me. You could always line it if need be. I highly, highly recommend it especially for anyone with back issues. For me it was totally worth the over $200 price with taxes and shipping. I've bought various weather covers, Babywearing coats/jackets, Custom made coat/jacket insert for before/after pregnancy and it's worked well with all, another added bonus. I was even able to add a baby carrier waist pouch for carrying essentials like keys, money etc. For me, baby wearing is an amazing way for me to bond with my baby/child in a very special way & a very major part of my parenting life. As well as making getting around as a non-driver and/or without a stroller so much easier! This carrier allowed me so much freedom & comfort for both of us walking, traveling, shopping, on buses/trains/subways/planes. I've tried and used over 10 carriers and this is the best I have ever had! Lots of LILLEbaby groups for help, support, chat too. One of my best ever baby gear purchases :0)

Can’t complain!
29 May 2022

I’ve had a Lillebaby organic for a couple months, but wanted to try the airflow because of the summer heat. The fit is good on the smallest arm settings, but I can see how some people smaller than me (5’5”, 140) may need to cross cross the back for a tighter fit. Ease of use is amazing… just clip at the waist and snuggle baby up. We hiked in 70-80 degree temps for 4+ Hours and baby’s back didn’t get hot. The leg holes aren’t as easy on baby as other materials if he’s in a onesie, but if he has in pants or shorts, it’s fine. It’s comparable to the material of mesh crib bumpers. I also use a solly baby and boba wraps. The boba wrap and lille baby carriers see my favorites!

I bought this one because of all the great reviews from people who live in hot climates. So glad I did. The breeze goes through the mesh to keep my baby cool. Furthermore, I recently tried the other big brand name and it has no where near the back support of Lillebaby. For reference, I tested this carrier out when I was half way through pregnancy by placing a 25 lb weight vest in it and I didn't feel like it was heavy. My baby was premature and I started wearing her in the fetal carry sitting on a rolled up blanket at about 6 lbs. She loved it then and loves it now at 4 months and 12.5 lbs. Usually, she goes right to sleep, which is great at the store or when I need to get some housework done and she's being fussy. The cross strap method is great for me as I have ... MoreI bought this one because of all the great reviews from people who live in hot climates. She loved it then and loves it now at 4 months and 12.5 lbs. Usually, she goes right to sleep, which is great at the store or when I need to get some housework done and she's being fussy. The cross strap method is great for me as I have a shoulder injury that prevents me from wearing a backpack or anything similar for very long without major aching. It's also good because I have a narrow frame and I find the straps are too wide set for me regardless of adjustment.I do find the mesh is bit scratchy and the narrow seat position is slightly irritating to my baby's legs. Yes, I have washed it and used it a lot but it will never be actually soft, just softer. That said, it's a totally reasonable trade off for the ventilation it provides so it's not worth taking a star off. A softer mesh may not be as durable. The only two things I wish were different are the following: 1. The webbing does not coordinate with the color of the carrier. This is true for the majority of Lillebaby carriers so hopefully that changes eventually. 2. The waist strap is designed to fit a 28" waist at the minimum. That's fine for me as I'm still working off the pregnancy waistline, but it will be to loose when I get back down to my normal size. Already I have it about as tight as it gets. I hope she's tall enough for me to wear her lower on my hips by the time I get back in my pants. I could take out the lumbar support but then my back would hurt. For reference, I'm currently 5'6" and 140 lbs with a narrow ribcage and long torso. This has been one of the best investments I've made in baby gear and I have already recommended the brand to several people who are expecting and were going to buy the other brand.

I love my Lillebaby, no doubts about it. It is comfortable, versatile, easy to use, AND less expensive than the competition. I hadn't thought much about my plans for babywearing when I was pregnant, and opted for an inexpensive and easy to use mock wrap rather than checking out my options for soft structured carriers. It was great, and my baby loved being worn, but after a few months it just wasn't enough to carry her comfortably. Add to this my desire to wear her while shopping, go on walks and hikes with friends, or even get things done around the house, and I decided it was time to make the investment. It is comfortable for walking around the grocery store, going on a summer hike, or taking a ballroom dancing class - all things I have done with my daughter in the Lillebaby in the past week. And she loves it, too! I can tell how happy she is in the carrier because she's able to relax in strange situations and will start chatting away with me, or the people around me - something she doesn't do in the stroller, or just in my arms. She's comfortable enough to fall asleep when she needs to as well. And she recognizes it and likes it so much that on days when all she wants is to be held and carried, she stops crying as soon as she sees me pull it out and snap on the waistband, and gladly reaches to sit in it!I don't rave about products often, so when I do you know it's the real deal. The Lillebaby is seriously the real deal. I have raved about my Airflow enough that at least three new moms I know have decided to purchase one, and they love it too! If you're not sure what soft structured carrier you want, and are deciding between this and others with similar features, I highly recommend you choose Lillebaby. You will not be disappointed!

The fb group is a great resource for both prospective and current users and a strong supportive community!I chose to go with a LILLEbaby airflow because of its 1) breathable mesh 2) when its hot outside you really don't want to add another piece of fabric around your baby, LILLEbaby's design doesn't require an infant insert so you get the max benefit of the breathable mesh. I also didn't like using an insert with the ergo because I felt like it made it so much harder to get baby in the carrier and position him correctly 3) the 6 positions, my baby loves to be held forward facing out, so I can't wait to use the carrier for that position, 4) the length of use we will get out of it due to the higher weight capacity, and 5) it's the most cost effective of its type! You can search comparable carriers right now and see the differences in material, positions, weight capacity, and price, nothing beats LILLEbaby! And now that I have it, it's love! Mad love!*If you’re debating between the airflow and all seasons and HAVE to pick just one, go with the airflow! You can always add layers, you can only remove layers to a certain point and the airflow is as cool as your going to get! This product was designed with great attention to detail and functionality! Every feature has a purpose, is adjustable/removable or can be tucked away if you don't need it. It's also so much more comfortable than my Ergo. There were some things I didn't care for or think of when I purchased it, but now love! My baby is still little, 2 months and about 13lbs, so I didn't think I needed the lumbar (back) support, but I decided to try it out before I slipped it off the strap to store in a closet. I am so glad I tried it, there's an incredible difference, my baby feels so much lighter and it made me realize that I was actually straining my back in our Ergo, I had no idea before! Another feature I love now is the head support that flips up and down, other brands just have a hood for extra head support when they doze off, which I used to think was fine, but being a first time mom/baby wearer I was constantly peeking under the hood at my baby to make sure he's still breathing and not too hot. With the LILLEbaby head rest up, my baby’s head is still supported, but is exposed so I can easily check on him without having to move something out of the way and he can just as easily peek at me too! A plus is that LILLEbaby's also have hoods, so if baby needs shade, there it is, but it's also removable if you prefer to use a hat for shade instead! With that being said, I also love when the head rest is down, my baby has a better view than he had in the Ergo. It was something I never thought about since, due to his weight, I can only front carry facing inward right now. I just figured with any carrier he'd only have me to look at and with the Ergo he wouldn't move his head much since there was fabric all around his head, he would just stare at my chest most of the time. But the first time I put him in the LILLEbaby I instantly noticed how curious/excited he was. There is nothing blocking his view now and he loves it! I like to talk to him about where we are as he turns his head from side to side to see what's around us. I feel like I can connect with him more in this carrier!Having a carrier is a lifesaver, especially in times when your baby just wants to be held, but you need to get stuff done, having a LILLEbaby is a way of life!

I planned to wear my baby way before he arrived and researched all types and brands of wraps and carriers extensively! I landed on Lillebaby because of all the features. Loved all the different ways to carry and the longevity of use. Decided on the all seasons complete because of the zip down mesh back panel and sun/rain cover because I live in Florida and the weather is unpredictable. No one pulled this off my baby registry so after my son was born, I changed my mind and went with the Complete airflow because I read multiple reviews from users in FL and TX that advised the all over mesh was better than the original for hot weather. It arrived and I was literally having to carry my son to pick this off the porch and open it immediately. My son currently hates to be anywhere but our arms and I can’t get anything done. One hour with this and I felt confident to take on lunch, laundry, even get dressed and sort some items around the house. It’s not going to allow you to get everything done. No climbing ladders or constant bending over but just walking about with more than what I can grasp with one hand and make fewer trips between rooms. I absolutely love the structure - everything is easy to adjust and fit to me. It does feel bulky now but my son is only 8 lbs now and I expect this will be strong enough once he’s larger. This was the only carrier I found that had safety straps in case the clips come undone - one of my favorite features and really the deciding factor once I was ready to choose a carrier. Watched lots of videos before trying it on to ensure I was wearing it properly and knew how to keep my son safe and comfortable. The color is beautiful! Can’t imagine I’ll need another carrier besides this one but if I do (perhaps a backup for wash day) than I will stick with this brand for sure!

Not what we expected
1 June 2022

I bought that this about a month ago for our newborn who is now 3 months. For a product that advertised airflow/ventilation in a carrier, it still gets very warm. It doesn't keep you and baby as cool as I expected. Also the buckle straps are difficult to use, the one around the waste is super tight, and I have to put a lot of extra effort into tugging it to tighten it. Also the side buckles and straps are not so convenient to tighten or buckle when you're wearing it with baby in front, it's always a bit of an awkward struggle to get situated. Also we are not confident what we are supposed to do with his feet as a newborn, we didn't find useful instruction about carrying him with his feet in the pocket. I do think as he gets a little bigger his legs will be able to be spread open more to match the carrier, but right now it's pretty awkward. This is all comparing to another carrier we bought for $35 on Amazon. However, we do like that the LILLEbaby carrier appears to be significantly more comfortable for baby than the other carrier we used. For the price, I expected it to be a lot more easy to use.

Saving my life

I have four carriers - an ergo, a boba, a solly weak and now this airflow. The ergo was way too bulky on my 5’2 petite frame. My 7 week old immediately hated it. The boba I used 9 years ago and liked it but didn’t love it. The solly wrap is excellent BUT murdered my back, shoulders and waist carrying around my infant who wanted to sleep in it for 3-4 hours. I use this carrier at least twice per day, for an hour plus. I don’t regret spending the money at all and believe it was fully worth it. The pocket is perfect size for my iPhone. My only complaint is that this would still get hot in warm weather. I need to figure out how this will work at the beach. The zipper pocket is good for putting my phone.
