Lizard Skins is the best tape I've ever used. Sticky/tacky, it allows you to take a lighter hold of the bars and yet still be in control. I have it on 2 road bikes and 2 tandem bikes (front and rear). Its good stuff. 2.5mm is kinda thick, so you might prefer the 1.8mm tape. When you apply you're not supposed to stretch it, but I put firm tension on the tape as I roll it to keep it smooth.

Out of the box, the inner sticky strip peeled off quickly but did not leave a tacky strip behind. Effectively you have to wrap the tape bone dry which is a challenge when you start and finish. In addition I found the tape to be a little shorter than others and had to have a few attempts at rewrapping to get it to finish. Once on the tape looks good, is nicely grippy with a bit of natural cushion.

I bought this tape as I am not the best wrapping non-adhesive tapes. The adhesive strip was quite dry and not very tacky to the touch after peeling back the paper strip. The instructions also state Not to stretch. Maybe 2 rides in they started to unwrap, the whole way along the bars. I may have got a bad batch, the tape is lovely, but be prepared to wrap them dry.
This tape doesn't come with enough to wrap my entire bars which are particularly wide (50cm Cowchipper). I like the feel of this tape and it provides a good amount fo cushion, but if you have a wide ATB/gravel bar you likely won't have enough tape to get to the tapered section in the middle. That was frustrating and had me ready to give 2 stars. It earned an extra star due to a screw-in bar plug.
I have tried dozens of bar tape; Lizard Skin, 2.5 mm is the best I have used on my Addict RC15 Race Bike. It dampens road vibrations, it of long length. Care must be taken to not stretch the tapeGood service by TradeInn
I'm giving this tape three stars because I have particularly wide bars (50cm Cowchippers), and this tape doesn't come with enough to wrap the whole bar. It feels nice and offers a good amount of cushion however beware if you have really wide bars like myself.
I've used cork tape for years and decided to try something new. Having weighed up the myriad of offerings I went for the Lizard Skins DSP V2. It was a wee bit more expensive than others on offer, but I'd read and heard this was good, so grabbed me some. Easy to install (first time with screw in bar-ends) which needed a bit of trimming (good video on You Tube - Park Tools give a master class on fitting it!). It looks awesome and is wonderfully grippy in both wet and dry conditions. I've only done a couple hundred miles with it so far but looks like I've also been missing on some added wrirst suspension too! Highly satisfied with this and feels like it's going to last too!
The Best!!! Have been using 1.8mm lizard skin tape for about 2 years now. Was recently online to purchase another set to re-wrap the bars and thought I might try something a little thicker as I have stopped riding with gloves. The 2.5 is perfect. My hands fit a size L glove and the 1.8mm tape was a tad too light for my liking without gloves on. The 2.5 offers quite a bit more padding and I would assume last longer given there is more material to wear through.I am yet to find a comparable tape that is as durable and tacky as Lizard Skins.
I ride without gloves and this is the perfect tape. Absorbs a lot of bumps on carbon bars and super comfy. Even when sweating they don’t become slippyRun lizard skins on all my bikes now
