When we were looking for an iron skillet, this one showed up. I wasn't sure at first if I would like it not having the long single handle. I tell you what, this is the best pan ever. I really like it more than the one with the long single handle. It makes a fantastic pizza. This is now my new pizza pan.

Purchased this amazing pan a few weeks ago and it did not disappoint. We use it everyday to cook on our outside BBQ burner. As we are huge meat eaters it is absolutely perfect to cook in for the whole family. Steaks taste so good and we know it has no Teflon coating. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a cast iron pan!

Everything sticks. Literally everything. I have tried different ways to prevent sticking, but upon looking into things further, this is just a flaw in the product only fixed by sanding off the coating that is on the pan. I can still make a nice pizza on parchment paper in it in the over, but that’s all it does besides take up space. Wish I had done more research.

My favorite Lodge cook item thus far! Once it arrived I had a couple sharp spots where it likely was hung to be seasoned and on one edge. I used a file to reduce to it. Then seasoned it twice. Admittedly it came beautifully black but it did file a couple spots. I’ve made several meal items, pound of bacon bits, pork chops, apple pancake bake, … each time I clean, warm on stove and oil it to rest. It is a nonstick wonder! Love it.Favorite feature is the dual handle. Easy to manage.
Big enough to cook pork chops, vegetables, apples, steaks, and other meal portions. Lack of a long handle means I can use it inside my large convection toaster oven (biggest I found was the Hamilton). While I quickly rinse under very hot water and wipe with wet cloth, I follow with a coat of veggie oil to preserve finish, and store with a lid cover over the pan to prevent dust and lint accrual. I add a little oil during cooking to prevent water in food from causing sticking and rust. After about 3 years, I toss the coated pans as the coating has been lost or becomes too not non-stick. I have other cast iron skillets, and have had them for decades.
Product is fantastic. Is a beautiful cast iron pan that should last forever. You just need to learn to take care of cast iron and it’s number one weakness, moisture. Although it seems to have been pre-seasoned, I would recommend seasoning cast iron soon after you purchase it. I use flax oil but a number of oils will do in a pinch. Just make sure not to let cast iron sit in any type of moisture or it will rust, then you will have to refinish which is a whole process.
I used this cast iron pan probably daily. Dependable, once seasoned clean up is easy and effortless. I especially like the handles,’easier to handle for these arthritic hands, and makes it easier to store. It sits most of the time on top of my stove, don’t even bother to put it away. Keeping my eyes open for a larger pan with the same handles. Highly recommend!
I’ve tried seasoning this pan 5 times with a mix of beef tallow and canola oil, as recommended by many others, and despite it being well seasoned, everything sticks to this pan. I’ve tried bacon, steaks, chicken, potatoes, and pork chops in it, and everything has stuck and required intense scrubbing to get clean after. I’ve had other cast iron pans in the past (specifically, two old pans from Goodwill that my ex stole when I moved out. Thanks jerk.) but have never had this problem before after seasoning the pans well. Idk if it’s just a defective pan or what.
We just added this piece to our growing collection of cast iron. It’s perfect. Well seasoned but we gave it another coat of oil and let it go in the oven for 30 minutes. Cooked up some bacon for its first use it’s now ready to cook anything!! Love the dual handles. Great purchase.
I love this pan. I like that it does not have a long handle, so it fits on the stove while other burners are in use, too. It is also easy to pick up and carry around. It heats pretty quickly, and then like all cast iron, it retains heat well so I quickly turn the heat down on the burner and it just keeps sizzling away.It has cooked well from the start with no sticking problems so it has been easy to clean every time I have used it.I wish this pan was also available in a size just a little larger so that it had an 11 to 12-inch cooking surface. I would buy it in a heart beat.
