This pan is perfect to use for pies, and even bread pudding, soufflé, and more. What is great about these iron pans is that they can be used on the stove too! Love it!
Three pies, one Apple, a Cherry and a Venison Pie so far. All were excellent. The bottom crusts are the most wonderful golden color, and perfect texture.You won't be dissapointed.

Large size to make deep dish type pie. Very sturdy. Fluted edge is nice too, easy to crimp pastry against it.
I cannot believe how good this pan is!! I am absolutely blown away! I have made pies over the years and always struggled with the dreaded “soggy bottom” when baked in glass or tin/metal pans. I am stunned! I baked my scratch apple pie in this pan as usual with no special instructions, and I was afraid it would either burn or be over-baked. I cannot believe how perfectly this pie turned out! The bottom crust is perfectly browned and crisp, and the top crust is perfectly baked! I am a convert 1000%… Excuse the messy pics, but this is right after cutting the first piece of pie and checking the bottom. 😉 I made a traditional shortening handmade crust with apple filling. I couldn’t believe my eyes! This pan is foolproof. It builds confidence and only adds to great pie ... MoreI cannot believe how good this pan is!! I am absolutely blown away!
