Box looks a tad worn but that’s likely due to warehousing conditions. Dutch oven looks well seasoned as advertised, so it’s ready to use once unboxed. Very minor rust spots, also likely due to moisture buildup while in warehouse or friction between lid and cookware. Confident it can be taken care of with some steel wool and re-seasoning. Overall, very good value for the price

Lodge !! I have numerous products of there’s. You need a cast iron item. You want something made well and to last generations. Lodge is the way to go. They do save you time when you receive your beautiful lodge product. It comes pre-season. It does have some weight to it. It’s great for your home. But even better if you are on the road. Place in your RV or out in the woods as you go camping. I use my big 5 quarts to slow cook a chicken for dinner or make a nice apple strudels for dessert.

When I ordered my 5 piece set about 4 years ago I couldn't wait to use this. I used to buy the enameled cast iron, but it kept chipping so I had to go for the original. It did not disappoint the first time I used it to make beef stew. Knowing that it is cast iron I fired up the stove on high for a few moments, then dropped my meat in to sear. Once it did I lowered the heat and added my veggies and seasonings, then reduced the heat to low for a few hours. The meat felt like it was in the crockpot for 9 hours. I love Lodge products and will need to finish my collection. Looking forward to ordering a deep frying pan in the near future.

The Dutch oven was a gift to my daughter. She loved it. She was aware of the quality reputation of the maker. I chose it because of your store’s focus on quality products. I was confident that it would be a good choice.
A must for summer cooking. I use this for braising on the BBQ to minimize heat from the stove. It comes pre-seasoned and washes easily. Tight-fitting lid which fits on my cast iron fry pan. On sale, it was a great value purchase.
Bought this cast iron Lodge dutch oven on Saturday May 27th 2023. drove a half an hour to get it as my local store didn't have any in stock. Second loaf of bread I baked in it on my Weber barbecue was one of the best loafs I have ever cooked. First loaf , I had the center burner on and the bottom crust got a bit burnt. Second loaf was perfect. Now don't have to heat up the oven to cook a loaf of bread in the summer, can just do it on my old trusty Webby Genesis e310 NG.ON Canada.
This dutch oven is great for baking crusty rustic loaves. I chose this dutch oven because it was made in the USA.
Our first time with a cast iron dutch oven and it has been an excellent experience. Lodge is a big name in cast iron and after using this I can see why. Cooking is great and cleanup is much easier than I thought it might be, Recommended. (We also have a Lodge cast iron fry pan - also excellent).
Very happy with it--the latest addition to my Lodge cookware. Mostly, I like its durability and ease of care. Definitely the first and last Dutch oven I will ever need to buy!
This is what you need to bake bread. The enameled dutch ovens chip and crack. I should have gotten this one in the first place instead of an enameled one. This will last forever.
