I daily drove this mouse for 2 years before my scroll wheel started to bug out. It was the best mouse I had ever used and I recommended it to all of my friends. However, there has been a recent redesign of the mouse, presumably to save on production costs, and it has cut corners and changed several things. The one most people are familiar with is that the cable is no longer braided which really isn't a huge deal, just a little lower quality. The change that I noticed was the scroll wheel. Once the scroll wheel on my first G502 started to bug out, I decided to buy another because I liked the first one so much. This was kind of annoying but I assumed it was just a one time issue so I returned it and got another one. Low and behold it had the exact same issue right out of the box. My best guess is that they changed something with the scroll wheel in the same corner cuts that removed the braided cable but that's just speculation on my behalf. The takeaway from this review is if you want a great mouse and don't care about a shotty scroll wheel, buy this mouse. If you can find another way to get the old model of this mouse before the corner cuts, maybe second hand off of eBay or something, then that will be more worth your money than the current model. It's truly sad to see this legend of a mouse that so many people have loved for years fall to the hands of cooperate cost cutting.

I have 2 of these mice. The first was accidentally trashed when it got knocked off the table and landed on a ceramic tiled floor, directly on the middle mouse button/wheel. The middle button is NOT a normal micro-switch, it is a flimsy copper "dome" that effectively "clicks" in and out (like the cricket clicker toy). The impact dented the delicate copper plate disabling the middle button and the copper dome could not be repaired. The second mouse I have been using for approx 14 months and last week the left mouse button started giving problems. This is a common and extremely well documented flaw with this mouse and ALL Logitec mouses that use the same OMRON micro-switches. This is a common and extremely well documented flaw with this mouse and ALL Logitec mouses that use the same OMRON micro-switches. Apparently it is the cheap and nasty Chinese switches Logitec choose to use . The problem manifests itself with the left mouse button indiscriminately double clicking when only pressed once. As the problem worsens, the button no longer remains depressed, so drag & drop is not possible nor is highlighting certain text etc.Basically, once the button/s start to go, the mouse is trashed and must either have all of the cheap Chinese OMRON buttons replaced with decent Japanese versions, or the mouse replaced entirely. Replacing the buttons if you have the parts is relatively easy but also requires that you destroy the mouse feet in order to access the hidden screws holding the mouse together - so the feet need to be replaced too if repairs are made.I love the mouse, the features and feel, but it is let down by terribly cheap components which in reality make it the worst and most unreliable mouse I have used since the 1980's.Unless you dont mind replacing your mouse every year or so, steer clear of this and ANY Logitec mouse that uses the same OMRON switches

I've been using this for more than a month and it works wonders in addition to the app. Full customizable buttons which mean no more finger dancing on my keyboard for certain controls. The weights really helped me transition to this one because I can emulate the feel of my previous mouse. The scroll locking is also good especially when scrolling through long pages (or scrolling in Genshin Impact :P).As good as it is, it still has some downsides. The scroll feels smooth when unlocked, but when locked, it immediately feels like it's a cheap plastic because the scroll isn't exactly locking smoothly between clicks. The precision button on the side is too far for me to reach since I have small hands. The precision button on the side is too far for me to reach since I have small hands. Reaching it would require me to handle the mouse sideways, but it seems like that's been addressed on later version of the mouse which is good. Lastly, the mouse produces a lot of noise and it can be clearly heard when plugged near an AUX port with the noise leaking into my earphones. Not entirely sure if this one is a hardware limitation or if it's fixable, either way, easiest fix is to plug it somewhere else.Overall, it's still a very good mouse for what it's worth. The ability to customise the controls really takes the cake as it can take over 7 - 9 keyboard keys balancing out the activity between hands.

I've had this mouse for a few months now and I absolutely love it. I am upgrading from the Corsair Glaive, so naturally, I would prefer a heavy mouse. This mouse grants you the option to add weights to the bottom of it via a small compartment, and have added as many as I could. However, I noticed that if you add a weight near the magnetic closure piece, it will make the back plate to access the weight compartment more likely to fall off, and this can result in your mouse not being able to sense the tabletop as well and overall interrupt gameplay. I remedied this by just not having a weight in that slot. Otherwise, this mouse is everything I could have wanted. I love all the buttons I can keybind and the fact I can unlock the scroll wheel. Now, here's something ... MoreI've had this mouse for a few months now and I absolutely love it. This mouse utilizes the Logitech software to allow you to customize it, but I also have a Blue Yeti, so it also automatically links to this software. The software for the Blue Yeti is terrible, and has made is so my microphone doesn't function as well. I had to go through the trouble of completely disabling the software from modifying my Blue Yeti.
