I got this as a replacement for my previous larger wireless Logitech Wave keyboard that was 5-6 years old & many of the letters had worn off the keys. I like its smaller footprint that's a better fit for my newer computer desk. It's very comfortable, although it took me a little while to adjust to the slightly different keyboard layout & feel. The Wave had a lot of extra keys I never used, so this one is more suitable for my needs. I also like that it has a small light that shows when you have the Caps Lock on. Great mouse, not a huge fan of the wheel.Keyboard looks great but was mushy. You have to push down hard for keystrokes to register (especially the space bar). I started to have so many typos after using this keyboard which may have been a combination of the increased pressure to activate keys and the ergo bump (coming from a flat keyboard). I was using a flatter and cheaper logi wireless keyboard and even enjoy the wired stock Dell chiclet keyboard for office/CAD work. I have two P.C.’s on my desk, so I purchased a second Logitech - USB Unifying Receiver.The keyboard & mouse have corresponding numbers on them to indicate which device is active, so you would think it would be “brain dead dumb” to set-up, right?Not quite!Here’s where the only issue I have with this Logitech MK850 Keyboard & Mouse combo comes up.First the software has to be installed on both P.C.’s before you can set the Keyboard & Mouse combo to the number you want (It defaults to number one) The instructions are really vague on this. The mouse worked correctly, just read the instructions, the keyboard was another story. The instructions tell you to turn off the mouse and then turn it back on to assign it the corresponding number (1,2 or 3) No problem, these are on the mouse & keyboard. That worked fine, the keyboard doesn’t have an off switch, so you have to remove one of the batteries! Then put it back in, and then assign it the number you want it to be.The instructions make no mention of this!After having & using the Logitech MK850 Performance Full-size Wireless Optical Keyboard and Mouse combo for two month’s I have to say I love this set-up. I highly recommend this keyboard & mouse combo, I’m sure it will serve me well for another 20 years!

As a graduate student I have to type papers all of the time. This keyboard was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something that would be an easy transition from the keyboard on my laptop. I also did not want my desk to become cluttered with wires, and wanted backlit keys for working at night. This keyboard is all around excellent. It feels very sturdy, the key travel and feel is also quite nice. I am used to typing on my Razer Blade 15, so normal desktop keyboards feel quite mushy and I do not like the long key travel on most keyboards. I also dont care for the loud clicking that comes with gaming keyboards, as it gets a little obnoxious when trying to type a paper. I did not want or need it to be wireless because I wanted backlighting. As it turns out, this is the only low profile keyboard you can buy with backlit keys... and its wireless. I took a chance on it needing to be plugged in at all times, but in fact I only insert the plug about once a week at the most. The keys are excellent... no rubbery response here. The backlighting works. The Bluetooth wireless is unreliable but the included WIFI dongle is perfect... has no delays and is always connected. Construction is very solid. Having wrist rests should be a plus; but it makes the keyboard very wide taking up a lot of space combined with the tablet or if you want to move the keyboard to take notes in a notebook (this also depends on the depth of your table), but for me its quite uncomfortable. Previous keyboard, also Logitech, had same size and those buttons apart.And... I still don't understand about the 3 buttons to change device (white buttons), if set comes with only one receptor...

Not to mention that they actually look quite nice in person, the white bottom layer makes it look a bit snazzier, in my opinion.Overall, highly recommend! I would buy it again!
