I keep mine wireless and am impressed with how long it goes on a charge. Also, I've never had problems with responsiveness and precision. My husband tried to get away with a slightly cheaper vertical mouse, but it sounds like he will soon be buying this one, as it is just better all around.

This is one awesome piece of equipment. You never realize how important ergonomics are until you experience the sigh of relief from eliminating daily strain. That is to say, this mouse most definitely took some getting used to (just look at it) but it is so worth it for the sake of your body! It's a little jarring at first but once you relax, the mouse fits so naturally, it's incredible. The curves make this the most comfortable mouse I've ever used. It's also super customizable, which I appreciate! You can program different functionality between apps and even use it across multiple devices. It's dope!**Be careful not to knock it off your desk due to the height**

Best Mouse on the market (with a couple exceptions)

I've noticed that they have a newer version called the MX Master 3s but my comments are for the earlier version. There are a couple of features of the MX Master mouse that the MX Vertical does not have. One is regarding where I place my right thumb on the MX Master; there is a thumbwheel for horizontal scrolling that is often very convenient; the MX Vertical does not have this feature. Also, I have a glass desk mat and the MX Master easily let me move my mouse over the mat with no problems, precisely placing my mouse cursor where I want it on my screen. Apparently, the laser easily goes through the clear mat and reflects off of my wooden desk surface. Unfortunately, I cannot do this with the MX Vertical. The latter issue is not a big deal I do have to slightly adjust where I placed my keyboard, but it would have been nice if it worked as well in this regard as the MX Master.Otherwise, what appeared as a gimmick at first is real. My right hand is in a more natural position using this mouse, and I highly recommend that if you are in the market for a new mouse, give this one a try. I think you'll be as positively surprised as I was.

Comfortable Mouse for Wrist Pain
13 July 2024

I was using a traditional mouse with my right hand and was experiencing wrist pain on my right side. I read the reviews on this and decided to give it a try. At first, the change in posture was a little difficult to adapt, but after a few days, I was able to use it just fine. My right hand muscles did experience some initial soreness because of the change in posture, but ultimately, the pain went away completely in my right wrist. So thankful this change in position worked! Downside to the mouse is that it's size requires you to pick it up on occasion to recenter it on the computer screen. Definitely NOT a mouse for gaming. Otherwise, an excellent mouse for someone looking to avoid pain on the job from working at desk.

Fantastic Ergo Set-up with a Catch
2 December 2022

I was looking forward to and received my equipment today.Out of the box it works great and ergonomically speaking it feels very comfortable to type with the K860 for business and using the MX Vertical for business as an ergo combo. With the mouse you can definitely feel a relief in your wrists across the board. Both work great for users with big hands. My typing habits improved dramatically with the split keyboard and vertical mouse after a few hours of use. No doubt about it. I have both peripherals set-up to my personal computer via bluetooth in Windows 11 and pairing them is seamless if you have a wifi 6e wireless network card with bluetooth 5 or higher. So from that aspect both devices are great and easy to configure through the Logi Options+ software. The only con, complaint, downside and huge disappointment at the ergo combo for business use cases is that for computers that have no bluetooth, the companionship of the K860 keyboard and the MX Vertical mouse would mean losing 2 USB ports. Also, a device with a bolt receiver cannot mingle with a unifying receiver device so you can't marry both peripherals in one receiver or the other regardless if it's logibolt or unifying. So that right there was a huge dissapointment. For how expensive buying both the keyboard and mouse together is, I would expect compatibility between the two or at least logibolt compatibility for all the business devices.Otherwise, it was simple to set up both equipped dongles for a second device from Logi Options+ in my personal computer and then connect the 2 dongles to my work computer. So far it works fine on my work computer as well.

Great mouse, wish it had free wheel spin like MX Master 3
16 May 2024

Bought the vertical as substitute to my MX Master 3 mouse as I needed a wired option mouse for work. I love the ergonomic position of the mouse and how it functions overall. It feels slightly less polished that the MX Master 3, but know they serve different purposes. I just thought with it being an MX model it would feel more refined like the Master 3. The only major thing I wish this mouse had is the metal free spin scroll wheel that is found on the Master 3. If the MX vertical had that it would make it feel more premium while offering slightly more function as well. That said I love this mouse and will continue to use it in the future. If you are looking to improve wrist pain associated with traditional mice, the MX Vertical is an excellent choice.

The box clearly indicates the main things you need to know about the mouse. As well as the wireless receiver dongle which is handy for desktop computers that are unlikely to facilitate Bluetooth connectivity, a good quality USBAC cable is included in the box as well as documentation including a sheet explaining how to access the builtin battery if it ever needs replacing. The mouse itself has a very stylish look and a comfortable feel its length is about the same as other mice but where this mouse is different is in the width and height It is a little wider to allow for the thumb restbutton, about 83mm at its widest point and the width of the area you hold between your thumb and 3rd4th finger is about 60mm It is possibly a little higher than others, about 50mm at its highest point, where the basefirst joint of your index finger sits the rest of the top surface slopes downwards towards the front and the right side of the mouse The mouse is about 125mm at its longest point.Setting up The Logitech MX Master 3 Wireless Darkfield Mouse is very quick and easy to setup. As a suggestion, leave your old mouse plugged in until the new Logitech mouse is setup and for each computer the mouse connects to, set the number 13 beforehand by pressing the button on the underside of the mouse. If your computer does not have builtin Bluetooth wireless connectivity, simply plug in the supplied wireless receiver USB dongle into your computer for nearinstant operation. Make sure to store the dongle in a safe place for future use. For those using Bluetooth connectivity, pair the mouse via your computers Bluetooth settings. This is now a good time to charge the mouse using the supplied USB cable. Logitech also provides Logitech Options software requires downloadinginstalling allowing you to granularly configure your mouse buttons and wheels make sure to check out the good variety of options, especially as a particular action you may be used to might default to a different action. The Logitech Options software is also required to operate the Flow functionality allowing you to conveniently share your mouse or even copypaste files between computers by moving your mouse to the edge of the monitor.During use The Logitech MX Master 3 Wireless Darkfield Mouse has the expected leftrightclick and backforward buttons as well as the middle scroll wheel, but it doesnt end there. The MagSpeed Electromagnetic middle scroll wheel is known for its two modes of operation, either of which you can select with a simple press of the button which is discreetly located on top of the mousebehind the scroll wheel You can select freespin scrolling which provides near silent operation, excellent for quickly scrolling up and down windows or even when zooming in or out of content good for people who like to work quicklywant to save time Alternatively you can select ratchetstyle scrolling which is ideal if you need more precision or control and where you can feel the scroll wheel move in steps, like a typical mouse. When freespin scrolling mode is enabled some may find themselves inadvertently zooming in or out of pages as a result of pressing the CTRL key when typing in Windows due to the sensitivity of the scroll wheel as the wheel may still be spinning for example this is just something to be mindful about. The mouse also has a side scroll wheel which, like the main scroll wheel, can also be configured to perform certain actions, but by default will cycle through browser tabs, horizontally through spreadsheets and so forth which will be appreciated by many. Theres also a hidden thumb button which, when pressed downwards, can perform certain actions by default it will let you switch between applications or perform other gestures. Depending on your view, I have several criticismssuggestions for improvement. The first would be about the backforward buttons on the left side of the mouse. Compared to backforward buttons on other mice the buttons on the Logitech mouse may not be as prominent they are a little on the small side and may therefore take a bit of getting used to. The second thing is that although the Logitech Options software is easy to install and provides a good intro on first use, it requires a Logitech account to be created in order to start using the software once installed before allowing you to configure the mouse. A third, which is more of a design consideration, is that the rightclick button could have been made longer given the middle finger is longer than the index finger. A fourth is that lefthanded mice users are missing out unless theyre ambidextrous A fifth is that only select keyboardsmice work with the Logitech Options software and crucially utilise the Flow functionality thereby limiting hardware choice, so if you are looking for a keyboard and you need the Flow functionality this is something to bear in mind note, one good looking keyboard that seems to make use of the Flow functionality is the Logitech Craft. Most or possibly none of these, I would think, should be a dealbreaker. Other than that, the Logitech MX Master 3 Wireless Darkfield Mouse does not feel heavy to move and the surface of the mouse is nice visually as well as to hold Most of the mouse with the exception of the buttons themselves and a classy trim at the backbottom edge has a very subtle soft feel and the left side and back of the mouse has a slightly ridgedtextured feel though nothing too obvious both of which may help you to grip the mouse, particularly around the thumb area. The builtin battery keeps its charge for a long period of time, reportedly up to 70 days on a full charge and I can confirm I have not have had to charge it so far during the month Ive had the mouse. A few things to be aware about If youre using the wireless receiver USB dongle and are experiencing a bit of lag when using the mouse, try plugging the dongle into a USB port of the computer or monitor that is closer to where the mouse is When hovering over a Word document the backforward buttons respectively perform the undo and redo action which is good, however you dont need to have clicked withinbe focussed on the document in order to carry out these actions, so beware of this to prevent inadvertent undoredo actions Another possible issue for some hoping to use this mouse with work computers is that you may find enabling the Flow functionality impossible, possibly due to company IT group policy settings, so if your hope is to share your mouse or even files between computers for that matter you may need to check this with your IT department. Once you have spent time configuring each buttons action and how they interact with each application, make sure to back up your settings within the Logitech Options software in case they need to be restored at a later date. Conclusion At the time of writing, this is Logitechs current version of MX Master mouse. Given the array of functionality, configurability, design and experience outlined above, together with Logitechs history for manufacturing excellent hardware, the Logitech MX Master 3 Wireless Darkfield Mouse is a reasonably priced high quality and versatile mouse that will suit everyone, no matter their usecase.

What could a 99 mouse offer that its cheaper rivals couldnt On paper, the specs didnt add up, but what Logitech created was more than the sum of its parts in the pursuit of creating a nighperfect productivity mouse for power users. The success of the original MX Master mouse and its followup, the Master 2 and refreshed Master 2S, made expectations high for the third generation of Logitechs flagship productivity mouse. Fortunately, as both a productivityenhancing tool for power users and simply a luxury experience for office tasks, Logitechs MX Master 3 Wireless Laser Mouse fires on all cylinders, proving that you dont need two stumbles before hitting it out of the park when good things come in threes. Unboxing and SetupDespite its tall profile, wide base, and metal scroll gear, the mouse only comes in at 5 ounces 142g, which is on the heavier side for wireless mice but still within reason for a large mouse. First impressions are mixed the material quality doesnt feel particularly higher than other wireless mice with a rubberized grip and typicalfeeling plastic mouse buttons. Scroll wheels are quite nice to touch and use, and the mouse glides a little more smoothly across a mousepad than some higherend gaming mice Ive used. Included in the box is a USBC charging cable, a Logitech Unifying Receiver, and a quickstart guide that directs you to the MX site to download the Logitech Options software. The Logitech Options software is a 200MB download that, as strictly a driver companion, would be the weakest part of the entire Logitech MX experience. It requires an account to be created or linked to a Google or Facebook account to use the software, and doing so backs up your settings to Logitechs own cloud to let you sync your keyboard settings across devices. The software is somewhat basic and allows for the usual litany of function key reassignments, but besides Logitech Flow and basic setting adjustments theres little that the software adds to the MX Master 3 experience.A nice feature of the Logitechs MX device line is that they can be paired to 3 different devices once configured with the Logitech Options software. The mouse can be paired via Bluetooth to any compatible device and this connection saved to any of the three device slots on the keyboard. These slots can also store a pairing to any Logitech Unifying Receiver and switching between them is a quick buttonpress on the bottom of the mouse. Design Build QualityWhat Logitech took away in flair and color moving from the MX Master 2S to the MX Master 3, they made up for in comfort and sheer ergonomics. The grip is very natural, comfortable, and every button is positioned and weighted perfectly so theres no accidental clicks, scrolls, or presses you didnt intend on. The positioning is so good that I only remembered the existence of the forward back buttons that were literally resting under my thumb for a week, never once activated by mistake. That there are three buttons the thumb can use and activate without moving it out of its cradle, that are still easy to activate without accidentally triggering them in normal use, is simply outstanding. Common shortcuts can be mapped via the Logitech Options software and make this into a productivityenhancing beast for your daily work. The switchgear used in every button feels extremely solid and durable, exhibiting no play and making extremely satisfying clicks. The thumb wheel scrolls with a good amount of resistance, and the main scroll wheel changes between freescroll and ratchet mode with what feels like a magnetic click on and off. Scroll the wheel fast in ratchet mode and this clutch disengages, letting the wheel spin freely then ratcheting back into step once it comes to a stop. Might be a little too much fun to play with if youre a chronic fidgeter. Extremely impressive all around. My only criticism on the design would be that its not an ambidextrous mouse, nor available in a lefthand variant as of this writing October 9, 2019. Lefties shouldnt be left out on this one. PerformanceIn daily use, the MX Master 3 glides and tracks excellently across my mousepad, yielding precise, weighted cursor movement that rarely needs compensation adjustments even when moving across three screens. Both slow, precise and fast, sweeping motions are effortless once you get used to the momentum that a heavy mouse generates. One of the hallmark features of the mouses optical sensor is its ability to track across any surface per Logitechs claims, even glass. Sure enough tracking across a mousepad, wooden desk, cloth sheet, leather, and indeed even the glass of a tablet all worked phenomenally, with the glass feeling oddly even more precise than the other surfaces. As mentioned in Design Build Quality, theres no shortage of buttons on the mouse, and using them in conjunction with Logitech Options to map common commands and keyboard shortcuts which can be set perapplication, thus allowing commands to change based on the active window definitely showed potential for speeding up my workflows over time. With all the shortcuts literally at your fingertips, its hard to think of a situation where they would be a hindrance rather than a boon for getting things done quicker. Logitech FlowLogitech Options killer feature is Logitech Flow. Essentially a softwarebased keyboardvideomouse KVM switch, Flow lets you control two computers using a single set of Logitech MX and presumably other Logitechbranded devices. While the trick would be neat enough in itself to control two computers, the software synchronizes both machines clipboards automatically, allowing seamless copypaste and draganddrop integration between them. This works for both Windows and Macintosh machines, and you can indeed mixandmatch operating systems. The only limitations to Flow are that it must be used with two machines on the same local network, and both machines must be on and awake.Flow was surprisingly easy to set up and sync between computers. Once enabled I had no trouble using a single mouse pointer and keyboard between two machines. While the software works as intended, moving from the local to the remote machine and back took a moment for the mouse pointer to move between machines, and there was a noticeable delay, maybe 2 or 3 frames, between mouse movement on the local machine and the pointer updating position on the remote one. I found myself needing to move just a little slower and more deliberately on the remote machine, but not to the point where I felt it was anything more than a minor inconvenience rather than a major impediment. The software worked flawlessly in my testing otherwise, and truthfully the ease of simply copypasting text, images, files, anything between two machines after just a couple minutes setup is revelatory. I could almost make my recommendation for the MX Master 3 on this alone. WirelessThe wireless range on the mouse to a Unifying Receiver will vary based on interference if its installed on a rear USB port on a desktop tower it may lose connection much easier than when its installed on the front. Regardless, the mouse had no issue working on any surface elsewhere in the room, no matter what obstructions I put in the way.Though not advertised as a gaming mouse, it certainly could be used for a few casual matches of popular twitchshooters as latency was adequate throughout testing. At worst, the MX Master 3 feels like it could be a frame behind the action onscreen but no more. Switching between this mouse and a Logitech G305 Lightspeed, the G305 felt a little more responsive. In an attempt to overcome the latency deficit of the MX Master 3, I plugged the mouse in directly via the included USBC cable, and found that its unfortunately a charging port only. It will need to be connected wirelessly to any PC to use it with one. Bottom LineHardcore gamers, you will want to look elsewhere. For everyone else, the MX Master 3 is to mice what German automakers are to cars luxury experiences with the price to match. A 99.99 MSRP is a tough proposition when most other wireless mice and even the older MX Master models can be had for half as much, but Logitech set the benchmark for mice a third time over with build quality, features, and performance that still put them at the front of the pack. Factor in the killer app that is Logitech Flow and it shouldnt be a surprise Im giving this one praise. Highly recommended
