Add some small hip pockets for snack bars, compass or similar (yes I still carry a map and compass).2. Similar to your Airzone Pro Trail 35:45 which have pole attachments on either side with an elasticated securing loop at the top of the pack. The current configuration of feeding them in through the additional loop in the compression strap does make it awkward for quick access/release.3. Add a securing strap to each side mesh pocket for added security to the contents.

Brilliant wee bag for day hikes or about town. Easy access small pockets in useful places, space for hydration pack. Very good fit for female figure (size 10-12).Only downside is the fact that the side pockets do not have an adjustable strap to secure items in - I bent over and a water bottle smashed to the ground. This additional feature would have given it a 5/5, in my opinion.

Very pleased with this as my latest daysack. It does what I want it to do, and I don't have to put up with extra bits that I don't need, or get in the way.I like the fact I can access all the sack with the generous main body zip, and also that the internal pockets are easily distinguishable in their colour.Handy key clip inside top compartment, and the poles fit well using the system.Hydration system initially required a little bit of perseverance to get the bite tube through the opening, but I've now got that down to a T.The only thing that could be improved would be some retainers for the main strap ends (never funny when it's windy) but a couple of rubber bands sorts that one.The grape colour is brilliant, and I liked mine so much, I transferred the gear out ... I’m very pleased indeed with this rucksack. It is extremely comfortable and is great for a day out especially because my back doesn’t get as hot and sweaty as with previous rucksacks. It’s very well made and there’s space for everything and the small compartments in the hip straps are incredibly useful.I highly recommend this rucksack
This wonderful and comfortable pack is perfect for long and short day hiking. It has plenty of volume, features and the Airzone keeps your back nice and dry during warm weather. For years my day pack was a Mountain 40, which was great except in hot weather. The Airzone line has made it so much more comfortable. Also, it has 3L water bladder sleeve that makes carrying water easier. This is my 5th Lowe Alpine pack (the smallest) all which I still have (some retired). In the 30 years I have used them, they have never let me down. Lowe Alpine is quality assured.
Took this around with me for 7 days bike packing (I know it's not made for that but...!) the rigid frame on it's top side by the carry handle didn't sit comfortably and I felt the tips press against me slightly. I adjusted the straps looser but because it's curved at the top this didn't make a difference. It wasn't painful but it wasn't ideal. Also front netting could be more durable as already tiny holes from stuffing rain coats and bottles in there etc. Personally i'd like the top pocket to open up more as can be fiddly trying to find things where you've stashed them in there. Apart from those minor things this is a great pack, zips are well made and slide easily they feel robust, clips are good, breathable, great inside net pocket and I could carry this around ... I wonder if it's possible to ever make one of these that would stand up on the floor on it's own...?

This is a great pack. The trampoline design, which I love, did an excellent job of providing good ventilation for my back and the adjustable straps kept everything snug and secure, the load carry system is very comfortable even with extra water, there is very little load movement even when scrambling. This 26L replaces the 22L which I had been using for a while, but for me, I did miss the hip belt pockets. The main compartment has enough capacity for waterproofs, gaiters, spare top, and lunch, and will have enough space for my crampons in winter with still some room left over.Though I do prefer an external bladder pocket to make it easier to replenish, that said with a full 3L bladder it does not compromise the main compartment too much. The hip pockets are a very good size and easily accessible whilst on the move, capable of holding a few snack bars, pen knife, tissues, compass and mobile phone with ease. The lid pocket is also a very good size for little knick-knacks such as head net, glow sticks, first aid kit, sun cream, power bank, extra snacks and the clasp for keys is handy. Though I normally keep my keys in the internal zip mesh pocket for added security, this pocket is very handy for other non-bulky knick-knacks. The integral rain cover is really handy and easy to deploy and secure. The overall the structure, layout and comfort are all very good and though I have only used the pack on a few days out, I am not disappointed, but I would give the features and design 3.5 stars out of 5:The side mesh pockets are a good size, it would be helpful to have small securing straps near the top, (similar to other brands) just to keep everything safer from accidentally falling out. There is no loop for an ice axe - which would be handy.Walking poles can only be attached to one side and the pole handles are secured by feeding through the compression strap, though they are very secure, the system does not make for quick release and easy access. It would be better if it followed the design of the AirZone 35:45 which has an ice axe loop and can carrying poles on either side with a better quick release elasticated securing loops for the handles.Overall a great pack for long or short days, it is very comfortable with good storage capacity. I do not regret purchasing it and I am looking forward to many more days hiking with this pack. I definitely recommend this pack for hikers and day walkers.
I love this backpack and have taken it on several long hikes. I can fit my snacks, sweatshirt, rain jacket, sunscreen, etc with no issues. The front mesh pocket is super handy for my phone and other quick access items. The pack is also very comfortable and stable over rough terrain. The bottom of the pack rests on the small of my back so the load is not all on my shoulders. I'm a 5'8" man, 190 lbs.My only frustration with the bag is the side pockets are way too loose and there's no way to cinch them down. So full water bottles don't stay in place and fall out every time. The only way around this is to use bottles with carrying loops and then clip the bag's main compression straps through the loop on the lid of the bottle. This is annoying because I need to take the bag off every time I want a drink. This problem could easily be fixed with an adjustable bungee on the side pockets and I hope Lowe Alpine corrects this on the next update.
The back ventilation is incredible - it keeps sweat from building up and makes you forget you are wearing a backpack. This breathability makes for a super pleasant hiking experience even in heat and long day hikes. I recommend this to bag to everyone I hike with.I’m terms of features, the backpack has everything you need for pockets and straps without overbuilding. It is simple and everything is built with purpose.
Took the bag to a trip to Norway and used it in every hike. My favorite part was the fact that my back was not sweaty nor hot thanks to its design. I also loved the specific “locks” for the hiking poles, took me a while to get them out fast but once you loosen it up a bit it gets easier. Overall it was a great purchase.
