I've just returned from the Lake District after a day that chalked off 5 Wainwright's and used the Edge 26 backpack for the first time. The Edge 26 backpack was superb! Perfect size for a days hiking, with pockets in just the right places. Big fan of the side pockets and straps that held my hiking poles in position securely and even bigger fan of the air contour back, which definitely works. The backpack is very well made and I'm very happy with my purchase.
The backpack is surprisingly light but well made and certainly up to carry the load for a day hike. Only complaint is that there are no internal pockets, so it's at times tricky to access your gear quickly. But overall a very nice pack.
Good size. Held pineapple, 6lg pears, 4 Bananas, Satsumas, Jar of Jam, Cottage cheese, Butter +Raincoat & still spare space! Great quality yet lightweight. But Im a slight female and find shoulder straps too wide in 2 places. So going to trim - 1. bit round neck& over shoulders (inner edge) - 2. Outer edge that goes round armpit. Good job I can alter & sew. Actually love the bag! Marg

I purchased the 26l Edge in Ebony, to replace a Deuter Day Pack and Patagonia Commuter Pack. I am really impressed with the pack and meets my needs for a Day Pack easily able to accommodate rainwear, a fleece, map, lunch and hot & cold drinks etc. I would have given this a 5 start review, but the lack of a rain cover warrants in my opinion minus one star. Yes you can purchase one, but it would be worth including like on other packs.
