i was expecting a lot more but really disappointed . its nothing flash , just a fish finder like all the rest . the downscan is not what it looks like on the box or in adverts . it might if you fish in a lake thats only 5 meters deep . And the fish reveal is just a sales gimmick . And the maps are next to useless. you may as well have a paper map . I should have gone with the Garmin ,

Brilliant package for my 4.2m Tinny. Worth getting a suncover as well. The team at Taren Point in particular Adrian (store manager) was fantastic in the whole transaction as I had a faulty unit out of the box.

Bought an ex-demo unit that was going for a great price however not all item that would have come with the unite had been packed back in the box (mounting screws, user manual, fascia clips).Powered the unit up and have taken it out of demo mode but the unit doesn't seem to have any kind of map or GPS location (would have helped if I had a manual).Transducer lead is about 6" too short and the shortest extension available 10 feet, so i will need to get one custom made.Despite all of this I am looking forward to using this unit as think it has some impressive features

I was unsure about purchasing an entry-model Lowrance unit, as I've been very happy with my high-quality Garmin and Humminbird products. After a Garmin unit died due to old age, rather than repairing it I spent a similar amount on the 9 inch version of this sounder. I'm happy I did, as the base model of this unit in a 9 inch screen, shows me far more detail than my previous premium Garmin 7 inch unit. Technology has dramatically improved and with the 9 inch screen, I'd struggle to justify spending more on a sounder for my yak. The larger screen makes split screen views truly useful, whereas on the smaller screen you never really got a good view of anything when the screen was divided. My first expedition was in horrible weather, so the yak was smashing through heavy ... My first expedition was in horrible weather, so the yak was smashing through heavy chop. Despite that, the sidescan view was amazing, showing every little bump in the sand. I have to say I'm impressed, despite my initial reservations.
Was very happy I went with the 9” over the 7” having the bigger screen definitely helps when using multiple options like side scan and down scan at same time. This unit is extremely easy to install yourself. Only thing I will make others aware of is power lead is only 3 foot long. My battery is at back of boat and sounder is mounted at the front so I needed to but some extra wire and have it soldered before I could use the unit. Not a big deal but I couldn’t use it straight away as shops were shut when I realised I needed the extra wire. Transducer lead is 6m but power lead is only 90cm
Absolutely brilliant unit, has great functionality, sonar, doen scan and side scan, also it is awesome with the inbuilt charts and gps.. genesis live is an awesome feature on this unit too. Overall extremely happy.
The unit itself is good. The charts etc are clear But the mounting bracket for the transducer is too flimsy and is made of plastic. Had to manufacture a stainless steel bracket so the transducer doesn’t break off. For a few more dollars in manufacture this problem could be overcome.
WOW! This was a where have you been all my life moment. We updated our sounder to the Hook reveal 9 and have been blown away by the information available from the unit. 9 inch display size is just awesome.
Unbeatable top quality product for the price it was a no brainer. Sold out in the blink of the eye. Thanks Anaconda.
I needed 2 new transducers for my hds7 touch which is nearly $600, so decided to get this as a completeunit for another $350. In comparison it's night and day.The plugs barely connect with any real confidence, the power supply plug has to be pushed in hard, or it won't connect well the pins are very short. If you knock the rear cable you will lose power to the unit, and a big downside is the buttons are not backlit. You CANNOT use this sounder for navigation at night, and that makes it beginner's unit only. All the good reviews miss this extremely important short fall.Being able to operate a chartplotter and sounder in the dark, is an absolute must.
