Macro Grass Fed Australian Diced Beef 500g

Excellent Quality. After reading other reviews, I decided to use the Macro Grass Fed Diced Beef in a casserole. I like beef to be very tender and it turned out perfect. I actually made a Beef and Black Bean Stew in the pressure cooker. The diced pieces were a nice size and a time saver being all cut up. The beef had plenty of flavour. One tray made 4 meals (with the added veggies). Stripping the plastic from the cardboard was a messy process and now with soft plastics not being able to be recycled it would have been easier just to be in a regular recyclable tray.

Cattle are free to roam and are pasture fed, happy little 'Bovines' No artificial colours or flavours, just the beautiful green green grass of home for them to munch on. Love how it's packaged as it's made from recyclable paper, the plastic film can be returned to store so that's more Gives clear instructions on how to recycle. I wasn't quite ready to use this when I picked up, so froze for a day or two before the use by date. But it was a cool day and we had no heaters on so just went with that, was okay to start my meal by 1pm, still partially frozen but manageable. The film was tricky so just hacked into it with a knife, the cubes of beef were larger than what I wanted so just chopped in half. After browsing all my recipes and fellow Bunchees recipes I settled on @flintstones 'Beef & Guinness Stew', only had a 375ml can of stout so added extra water. When I was cooking the beef, my goodness the smell was amazing. That real proper beefy smell that I've not smelt for years, my mouth was watering. No I did read reviews on this and went with this meal as it would cook and simmer away for 2 or so hours, it doesn't say what cut of beef this is but it's one that warrants a slow cook. Cutting into smaller bite size pieces also helped in the cooking process. Needless to say that the end meal was a huge success, with melt in the mouth beef. OMG, was really really yum. Now with how prices in supermarkets are these days I normally wouldn't look twice at this, but by the living jingo's I'll be purchasing this again for sure. A top product that I highly recommend, will buy at least once a month. Thanks again Bunch and thanks Fred for a yummy recipe, it's a keeper.

Not bad. I regularly make stews with gravy beef and occasionally a casserole. I'm not sure what cut of beef this meat was but because I didn't purchase and cut the meat myself, I decided to do something different with it. So I made a green curry after browning off the large chunks and slowly cooking them. The result was disappointing and I'm not sure why. Maybe I cooked it for too long, or too short? The flavour was there but I probably should have cut the chunks into smaller pieces. I wouldn't purchase these again for my family as I like to decide which cut I purchase and prepare the meat accordingly. However, I do appreciate the opportunity to try this product and we certainly polished it off with some extra Asian greens and rice. Thankyou bunch!

Aussie lean beef yum. Found this product easily in store. At first thought, $13. 00 is little bit expensive, but you use the lot, no fatty bits, no bits to chop off and throw away, no waste, so the price isn’t too bad. The beef colour bright, large chunks of beef which I chopped in half before slow cooking. The bottom part of the package is recyclable which is great for the environment. I made one of chef_penny’s recipes “Hearty Italian Beed Casserole” and added some extra vegetables. The beef was a little tough when I first tried it so cooked the casserole an extra hour in the slow cooker and it was fabulous, nice and tender, juicy, full of flavour, melt in the mouth and delicious. Lovely beef. Picked up this beef yesterday, very easy to find on the top shelf, in its distinctive packaging. The meat looked red and juicy and I couldn't spot any major fat/sinew. Decided I wanted to have it for dinner that night in a beef stroganoff so I cut the chunks into 3 so they were more like strips, browned them in the pan and added them to the onions, mushrooms and sauce. 30 mins later we had a delicious stronganoff, the meat was tender and tasted great, very lean with no chewy sinew. Thoroughly enjoyed this beef and would happily purchase again, the packaging is great and makes it easy to spot. 10 out of 10 for this sample. Thanks bunch.

You do get what you pay for though and no wastage. Was super hard to get this sample, so super happy to finally pick one up just before offer expired after trying for more than 2 weeks to collect. Meat is lovely and tender but too chunky for me. Ended up cutting in half or some into quarters to make pieces go further and cook more evenly. Made a curry out of it and sorry I didn't pick up another packet to make more as it was very tender and tasty and could have easily eaten more then or the next day. Too Tough. I used this pack of Macro diced beef to make a beef casserole for tonight's dinner. The meat looked very lean but when I tried to cut some of the larger pieces in half I found it extremely difficult to cut through. When cooked, the taste of the meat and the overall taste of the casserole was great, however this would have to be the toughest/stringiest meat we've ever had. Everyone in my family had to spit out many bits of meat that just wouldn't break down despite chewing and chewing. Unfortunately I would not purchase this packet of meat again and would opt for a different cut of beef to ensure a more tender result.

Very lean. I have given this product 5* as compered to other diced meats it was extremely lean normally you will find whole chuncks of fat and feel a little ripped off over they charged me for that. Good for people on a diet were they need red meat but no fat. The only thing I had a problem with was the unevenest of the cubing I had reall huge pieces and really small pieces and not much inbetween to be fair I didn't select this it was the only one on the shelf. At $13 for the 500gms it is a bit expensive for me, but it did have a good texture and a good taste. I used it in a slow cooked cassorole and it remained tender and did not fall apart. I would recomend it to a few of my organic loving friends.

Chuck in the slow cooker. This diced beef is in a green cardboard tray that fits with the organic theme. At $13. 00 for 500g it couldn’t be a regular purchase. Like the fully recyclable packaging, although it can be a bit hard to peel the film off the cardboard tray. But it is sealed well. The beef was diced chunky. Very clean to look at, hardly any fat. Made into a goulash so the meat marinated and cooked in the sauce and to stop it going too chewy. Slow cooking is probably best. Depending on the way it was cut (ie. with or against the grain) some pieces can be a bit stringy but mostly they were good. I do like that it’s from grass fed cows and no hormones so it’s better for us and them. Will wait for a special to get again.

A delicious cut of Australian beef. A hard one to find as I think there was some supply issue but was defiantly worth the wait.. I loved the packaging, I like to be able to see what I’m buying through the clear wrapping. I made a big hearty stew with this beef and added some vegetables red wine. Zero fat just lovely big chunks of beef. So tender a really tasty beef no grizzly fatty bits. Yes I will defiantly buy again, great convenience not having to cut the beef a real time saver. And zero fat is perfect as I don’t enjoy fatty meat. It’s had a price drop so it’s a big yes from us and a big fat 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Thank you bunch for this fantastic sample ❤️❤️
