Good quality tomatoes. The tin was well labelled and the item was easy to find on the shelves The can opened easily and the product looked, smelled and tasted appetising. I don't normally buy whole tomatoes. But I broke these up with my fingers. They broke apart easily and without too much fuss. I used these in devilled sausages. The finished meal was lovely and had no strange after-taste from the tomatoes. The tomatoes cooked nicely and had a good texture in the meal. I would buy this product again.

Was ok. Italian tomatoes ( organic ), I can’t distinguish the “ made in Italy “ if they were canned there also. The label states this is 60% organic, what’s the other 40% ? Then the label just states organic tomato juice, so is this 40% tomato juice as it’s not clearly stated. it’s a pitty there’s no detail as the ends are still on the tomatoes but that happens on all brands. but I’m still very very mixed up as I see no flavour difference in organic and the “ normal “ ones. as for salt reduced it’s force of habit being a foodie by trade to add salt to everything. im unsure if I would buy these. but on a side note who don’t Woolies have a section set aside for organic products instead of having them everywhere, it would make sense.

Organic Tomatoes. I buy many of the Macro products, as they are usually high quality, and was looking forward to trying these canned tomatoes. Overall, they were a 4/5 - I couldn’t help thinking could be better. The tomatoes were plump and had a pleasant enough flavour (I liked that they were peeled too) but I found there to be a lot of juice and not a whole lot of tomato . Great that they are organic but not Australian (made in Italy ). No added salt and no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives ✅. The can is $1. 20 which is reasonable but I will stick to the Australian peeled tomatoes .

Italian tinned tomatoes. These are organic - easy to find in store with other tinned tomatoes. They are a good product. Tasty too. On the down side, they were not grown in Australia. Seeing as they were Italian it felt appropriate to cook them in a bolognaise sauce. Our recipe is a microwave one with Italian herbs included. TIP: I usually use crushed tomatoes in spaghetti sauces as they are 99% tomato, compared to 60% in other types of tinned tomato. Thanks for the sample bunch. Much appreciated
Simple and easy to use. Easy to find and useful for a variety of things. I love tomatoes but to many of them and my skin reacts so I have to take it slow. The perils of sensitive skin. Made from 60% organic tomatoes and the rest is organic tomato juice. ACO certified organicMade in Italy for Woolworths. Sugar 6% but that I am guessing will be natural sugarFat content very low Health star rating of 4. 5. No added salt. We chop them up and use in sauces as I am lover of tomato based dishes, just a pity my skin doesn't agree. Can and lid recyclable once washed out
Quality Macro Tomatoes. * I purchased this product to taste test and review. Getting the shopping done and my shop being low on macro stock in the can section. I had to grab these as there were no diced tomatoes. These always have the hard stem bit left in them. Perhaps so the peeled tomato doesn't break down as much. - I personally like to remove that bit before using each tomato from the can. I love the macro brand and this didn't let me down with a thick tomato sauce to coat the peeled tomatoes. Made in Italy. Can and Lid recycle
Amazing flavor. Great product - full bodied tomato flavor. Our local butcher has been recommending that we try these wagyu beef cheeks that they’ve recently started selling a few times now. When I got this sample I knew it would go perfect with it! opening the can, there is a strong tomato fragrance. I liked that there is no added salt, because you don’t have to guess at how much salt to add/remove from the recipe. We made slow cooked red wine beef cheeks, and this added a great depth of tomato flavor to the sauce. On a side note, the beef cheeks were also delicious, so soft and tender and juicy We are definitely getting them again, and will definitely be buying these canned tomato’s again as the quality was great!
Only 60% tomatoes. Packaged in a recyclable tin with a ring-pull lever that made easy opening. The inside of the tin is lined with a white film which I presume is the Bisphenol-A or BPA resin. There are discussions that the natural acid from tomatoes may react chemically with BPA and cause seepage but feel free to do your own research if you have concerns, I just googled “white lining in canned foods” to get started. The tomatoes are organic and made in Italy where some of the best plum (or roma) tomatoes are grown. Upon opening, there were 2 big and 1 small plum tomatoes in the can, the rest of the space is made up of tomato juice, hence the 60% ratio. The tomatoes were nice and soft but firm enough to hold their oval shape. They had deep red pink colour which is ... MoreOnly 60% tomatoes. The tomatoes were nice and soft but firm enough to hold their oval shape. They had deep red pink colour which is characteristic of this variety. There is no added salt which is perfect for a dish in mind. After a quick taste test, it was a tad bland and couldn’t smell a strong tomato’ey aroma so am unsure why when these are organically grown. My casserole dish turned out delicious after adding other aromats (inset). Price is $1. 20 which is much higher than non-organic varieties from. 60c to $1. 00. If I had to use canned tomatoes, I’d normally buy the diced ones although I’d opt for fresh tomatoes first, particularly when they’re in season. Passata in glass containers are my second choice and only resort to canned if none of the above alternatives are available. No buy.
Good pantry item. I always have a tin of tomatoes in the pantry. I buy a lot of Macro products-as a lot of the products are organic. Easy to open 400g peeled whole tomatoes in juice with a ring pull tin. I noticed inside the tin that it wasn’t plastic lined, which was good. I normally buy BPA free tinned products. No added salt, with a 4. 5 star rating, with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. The product contained whole organic tomatoes and juice, which was great to see, but I have to agree with other reviewers about a non Australian product. I added the tomatoes to a butter chicken curry, and taste wise they were good, but did lack flavour. Priced at $1. 20- I wouldn’t buy again. The Woolworths Australian peeled tomatoes are cheaper.
Ok Organic Tomatoes. I was actually surprised to get another tomato product compared to my last ready to go pasta sauce. At least these are peeled tomatoes and I can prepare the sauce my way. I found a few more tomato skins than I would usually find but that was ok. Also it's great that there is no salt added and you can regulate the amount but the tomatoes could have been sweeter. You would think that been organic that they would be sweeter but added a little sugar and that did the trick. They are Made in Italy. Contains only organic tomatoes and organic tomato juice which is great. Also has a health star rating of 4. 5 which is fantastic. Overall an ok product but nothing beats my usual brand of Annalisa which are much more sweeter and a much better quality ... MoreOk Organic Tomatoes. I always use fresh tomatoes but have these on hand as a back up. I have tried all brands including the Australian ones grown here but if they are of low quality and don't stack up, I will not be paying extra let alone for been organic. Thanks Bunch for the sample but I will not be buying these in the future and will be sticking to my usual brand.
