Highly recommended, and I'm thinking of buying these again after I compared the amount of salt in this sample with the usual black beans I buy (80 cents). 6 mg of sodium per serving in this one, against 156 mg in the ones I generally buy! This organic one is a definitely better for our heart. I've never tried the Woolworths no added salt red kidney beans (80 cents), but I checked their label here in Bunch. The organic sample contains 4 g of proteins (the non organic no added salt one 5. 9) 71 calories (against 76) 4. 1 g fibre (against 4. 9), 6 mg of sodium (against <5 mg). I am going to look for the no added salt ones, but meanwhile I am very happy to use these ones. I find the dimensions perfect. A great choice for our body, in particular our heart and gut. Lovely product!

Cool Beans . We use Black Beans in our Vegetarian Nacho’s so it was great to get this sample. We usually buy the regular Woolworths brand so we were looking forward to trying these. They were probably a little bigger and firmer and tasted really great. There was however not a massive difference between the two, but they were very nice and the quality and flavour could not be faulted in any way. We have always found each of the Macro Organic products we have sampled through Bunch to be of excellent quality. This items sells at $1. 50 for for 420grams where as the regular Woolworths brand is 0. 80cents for 420grams. I always rinse and drain the beans before using You can use these for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a variety of ways including as burgers; with nachos, tacos, all kinds of Mexican, of course; with eggs, in soups, salads, stews, in a dip, on baked potatoes or stuffed into red capsicums/zucchini/avocado etc etc I used the sample in my Sweet Potato Black Bean Quesadillas They're delish and make eating veggies fun! We do enjoy red kidney beans, cannellini beans, butter beans, borlotti beans and four bean mix. I decided to add them to my Hi Fi Min I cooked for dinner last night. I’m sure I’m not allowed to swear, but really that is ******! How bad for the world and the environment is that? At least grow and process the beans in the same country! I’m happy to buy American products. I’m happy to buy Italian products, but really there is something wrong when a product does that kind of world trip before landing on supermarket shelves. What’s the point of recycling and all the environmental initiatives if we continue to produce our food this way?To summarise - beans are fine but I don’t need organic ones produced that way. Served this with some rice to make a Mexican type dish. Upon opening the can, greeted with the 40% water as a murky cloudy gluggy liquid. Carefully poured this out and added the beans to my pot of ingredients. The beans were soft and mushy and even more so after cooking further. Some of the skins were a bit tough and chewy. The beans were uniform shape and appeared (and indeed were) firm yet tender. I used these beans in a Mexican Rice Bake (a Recipe Tins Eats recipe) and they were perfect.
