Introducing the Makita GA029G which is cordless grinder and part of the Makita 40V MAX XGT range. The Makita GA028G (115mm) and GA029G (125mm) are angle grinders that use a paddle-switch in order to operate. They are powered by a 40V MAX XGT Battery. These new breed of grinders from Makita offer very impressive spec and highlight exactly why Makita have brought out this stand alone 40V range; so they can offer the power of mains with the freedom and ease of cordless use. Like their 18V cousins these grinders are very user-friendly. The protective cover can be adjusted quickly, easily and without tools. Safety has also been considered, both grinders are equipped with Active Feedback sensing Technology (AFT). AFT is activated in case of a sudden reduction in speed or when the grinding wheel is clamped in the material and switches the machine off automatically preventing user injuries. These are extra safe machines, equipped with an electric brake which will stock the disc in an instant. The slide switch on this model is located on top of the tool body and like a traditional grinder is operated using the users thumb whilst holding the tool in the traditional grip. There are slide switch versions also available: GA022G (115mm) and GA023G (125mm).
