Makita DHP482Z 18V Hammer Driver Drill

I bought the first drill and within a few weeks of on off use the trigger got stuck and burnt out, I then purchased another straight away and within an hour 2nd speed is constantly clutch engaging you don’t even have to put any torque on it.Should be 0 stars but can’t. Just wasted a 100 quid on 2 drill carcasses, will never buy again, buy cheap buy twice as the saying goes

Makita has always been good kit. This drill is just that. Easy to use, light weight and hammer function is really smooth.FFX are amazing. Fast delivery and great comms.

DHP482zw combi

A great little drill perfect for the expert DIYer. Not sure how it would stand up to professional use though. I was sold this as a brushless motor. It is not. Its a brush motor. I normally use bosch but this is more suitable for smaller hands. The bosch has a thicker body. I would recommend this drill

"Your question" Your glad to hear the product is better than I expected is an assumption on your part. It is exactly what I expected from the renowned name of Makita. OK there are better drills out there but at considerably increased cost but Makita are built and priced at the serious DIYer and the Professional person and this drill suits me down to the ground. It's a great lightweight and serious bit of kit,this is my third Makita drill in the same range all operating on a daily basis and give good service. The only negative is that it ain't brushless but that's of my choosing as I did not want to pay more.

Great tradie drill

Very good drill. The twin light is very handy to work in dark corners .last one lasted about 3 years before the 1st gear went. Not bad for a lot of work it has done

Very good for an entry level drill by makita . feels good in your hand and light enough to do most diy jobs . im on the look out for a more powerful makita to work alongside the smaller one which im running 3ah and going for a 5ah in the larger one.

Makita DHP482Z 18v LXT Li-Ion Combi Drill 2 Speed Body Only

Bought this to replace a worn out DHP456 drill but wanted something a little more powerful/ torquey at about the same size/ weight , which it is! Very pleased so far, nice to use, better control than a brushless model. It also fits in same case as the 456 with the battery removed from the drill, which I always do anyway. Got a good deal as well, which makes it sweeter.

Lightweight comfortable to hold and powerful! What is not to like?The keyless chuck does take some grip to release drill bits but on the other hand the drillbits do not slip as in some chucks.

Drill works well. Have two other Makita drills and wanted this white one that is easily distinguishable from the others. Helps when continually switching between drilling, counter sinking and screwing.

Yes , best Ive used, comfortable to use. Great for all work where space , limited, etc. But As Ive already pointed Expected it to come with battery, as it was described In description, said li lion battery. I did not misread this, and so I had to purchase , from yourselfs a battery & charger, as you can probably see, from my acc. I probably would have seen the complete unit & charger cheaper Since obtaining mine. But I cannot fault the items theyre great. Some gratuity would be nice from yourselfs, though Im sure I wasnt mislead on purpose. Thank you!
