This saw is very good, and easier, when used with the 1500Makita guide rail. It could be better with a third adjustable knob so you can over hang the saw on the guide rail instead of using as a plunge saw to start. Over than that it cuts the best of all the saws I have. I marked this saw down mainly on price, £282 from FFX

Incredible saw. Powerful, accurate and really well built. Best saw I've ever used and the cutting capacity is phenomenal. The fact it fits on festool/makita rails is the major factor why this saw is 100% all rounder. Incredibly happy with my purchase.

Powerful but remarkably quiet. The larger blade size makes it ideal for large roof timbers and such like.

Almost bought a cordless plunge saw and just use my mains one in the shed .butthis saw has the edge in so many way , it would not replace the plunge saw for quality of cut on delicate doors etc , but for sheathing ply or a solid door or ripping down 3" timber it's the dog banglys
The saws a beast, works great on the track if you dont want to use your plunge saw for first fix site work. However the overload feature drives me bonkers, if you overload the saw it cuts out, even if the batteries a relatively new and fully charged. Once cut out it wont fire back up until you shuffle your batteries round with others you have spare. Not very good if you want to cut a long length of stock. Maybe the saw was too good to be true
Fantastic saw excellent performance only downside is that makita dont do a box to store it in
Everything was fine if it received without edge damage. There is no packing damage that means the seller shipped damaged item or he didn't inspect it before dispatch.

I bought this for my DIY wood projects. Does the job perfectly and with good finish. I even tested on metal and I was happy with the performance
Easy to use, quite powerful and soaks up the vibration. Had a drill bit seize in the concrete and the drill couldn't reverse it out so had to drill around it with another drill bit to release it which worked well. Very good purchase and very handy to have indeed where power is not available.
