Top quality and excellent design, as I would expect from Makita. Be careful, it is a little larger than it looks in the photo, almost would not fit through the shed door! Fairly heavy too, but I can see years of service ahead from this saw. Build quality excellent, lots of clever little touches, makes a fantastic, clean accurate cut. Performs excellently with 2 5a/h batteries(not included!) From now on, all tools I buy will be cordless Makita.

Fantastic saw after using only 110v tools in the past this has the same if not more power. I combined it with 6ah batteries and it’s just a beast. Yes it’s heavy and bulky but most chopsaws are. My only snag is the dust extraction ports, the one behind the fence gets solid with sawdust when not connected to extraction. So when using outside where it’s not always necessary it becomes a pain. Apart fromThat a totally awesome bit of kit

This was a big spend but I really can not bang on enough about how worth while this tool is!! I've been using mine for about six weeks now and I've thrown everything at it, first fix, second fix, large section timber, hard woods, intricate work, complex set ups....and it's taken it all in its stride.Built two porches with it over the last couple of days. The contractor couldn't believe how quickly I knocked them up, and it was because I had this. Fast work, spot on cuts for attractive joinery.I did the skirting and architrave on a new build, on and off the saw all day and only used one set of batteries so run time is not an issue.Plenty of grunt. 90x90mm soft wood was cut with a glass finish today. She is a big lump though so although she's cordless so good ... MoreThis was a big spend but I really can not bang on enough about how worth while this tool is!! Would also be nice to have a work light but obviously makita are thinking of battery life.Would also like to thank Axminster. Rang them.... five minute call,....24hour wait.....saw was on my doorstep!! Can't grumble at that

Most of my tools are Dewalt (Just the way the sales that were on beat all competitors), but used to have all Makita power tools, so I knew this would be a solid tool. Take the previous reviews with a grain of salt. Giving it 1 star because the buyer did not take the time to read the box or go to Makita's website to be sure of what you're getting shouldn't reflect on a review of the tools performance. Like most these days, this is a bare tool, no batteries or charger included. The big guys want you to stick to their platforms for all of your cordless tools, so this is what it is.The saw cuts through plywood, dimensional lumber that I've cut including 4×4, 2×12 and garden ties with no difficulty at all. On par with Dewalt, Milwaukee, Bosch, Hilti, etc, so if on sale, don't hesitate to pick it up.I didnt have any issues with the parts the other reviewer did and haven't heard of any similar issues elsewhere. Aside from replacing the part, I don't know what else should be expected of Makita?
Big Makita fan. Recently upgraded my mitre saw after 12 years ( also makita)Excellent piece of kit. Very good quality and well put together.Very useful, going beyond 45°. Very precise, clean cuts. Seems to have all the power of a corded one.Disappointed it doesn’t come withAWS (Bluetooth connection for extract)Overall, very happy 😎
Very powerful and accurate. This replaced my Bosch which I thought was good till I got this.
Having been a joiner all my life ! I've always used a 110 mitre saw . But I thought I would change to the battery version ,and I'm well happy with my recent purchase of the makita dls110z it's a brilliant piece of kit 👌 and would highly recommend it to fellow tradesmen!
Excellent service as always arrived on time everything good works no problem. But the only problem is that the blade which came with the saw does not run true slightly warped. Bought another blade from a makita stockists and now saw is good.
The saw itself is outstanding and glad I got it. For the price tho it’s a shame that this has no lazer on it. I got a laser on an £80 evolution saw. Makita should be miles ahead on features let alone behind on the most basic
I love this machine, it is a beast, but I found mine to have a misaligned blade relative to the sliding rail and there is no adjustment to correct this. I used a dial gauge for calibration and found the blade to be out relative to the rail by 0.8mm across the blade diameter. This means I could either calibrate the back reset to the rail or the blade, but not both. So the blade tracks across the work piece at an angle. I dont know if this issue is just with mine or if this misalignment is within Makitas manufacturing tolerance.
