Absolutely amazing. Upgraded from a half decent Evolution mitre saw and the difference is night and day (albeit should be at 3 times the price...) You can really appreciate where the extra money goes though, every part is superbly engineered and is just high quality. The power is superb, cuts through any wood with zero fuss and the accuracy was dead on straight out of the box. Dust extraction is brilliant too with the dual collection port.Really happy with my purchase, yes it was relatively expensive but I consider it 100% worth it for the quality that it gives both in build and cuts.Would recommend. Also huge shout out to Toolden. Super efficient at posting and processing my order and really helpful and friendly when I phoned beforehand.Would definitely use again.

I bought this rather expensive machine because I believed Makita made really accurate machines. But I was sadly disappointred. The 90 degree tilt stop was nowhere near accurate and I could not see how to adjust that. Also nothing in the manual. The tilt also changed as I pulled it forward, So it looked like the sliding mechanism was not coplanar. The miter was also of at the 90 degree detent But I could see how that could be adjusted, but in view of the other problems, I just left it and asked for it to be replaced. When the new saw arrived, it was considerably better, but still very slightly off. I managed to fix the miter detent but not the slide or tilt. Decided I'll just have to live with it as it is very slightly off. But I will not buy Makita again soon.

The first time the product arrived it was clearly 2nd hand, it appeared in a huge box with no packaging and had saw dust all over itI rang the helpline, they were very helpful and apologised and order a ‘new’ one for me.What’s strange is I rang the helpline twice and they both gave the same excuse, “the packer made a mistake and picked the wrong one”My only doubt is that the ‘new’ one isn’t new there was no warranty in the box and the box look very faded and worn out. I’ve stuck with this one as it’s too much hassle. I spoke to my son who also said he received a drill from FFX, it just turned up in a bag, no paperwork etc. would I buy from FFX again probably not, I think they buy returned items and sell them as new. I can’t be certain about this on the limited ... MoreThe first time the product arrived it was clearly 2nd hand, it appeared in a huge box with no packaging and had saw dust all over itI rang the helpline, they were very helpful and apologised and order a ‘new’ one for me.What’s strange is I rang the helpline twice and they both gave the same excuse, “the packer made a mistake and picked the wrong one”My only doubt is that the ‘new’ one isn’t new there was no warranty in the box and the box look very faded and worn out. Pretty good piece of kit, solidly built and really lovely motion and the fact that I can put it in the workshop against the wall unlike most other saws. Did consider another two makes I found but this was to my mind a good middle choice.I do have an issue with it though, in that the centre of the table is fractionally lower than the outer and the support bars, causing the saw blade to pinch occasionally. This is possible to work with thoughOh and don't believe the twaddle you see on youtube showing how no dust is created when vacuum extraction is on, its ok but not that good.

BLOWN AWAY!!

I’ve jumped from a relatively inexpensive mitre saw to this beast and the difference is night and day. I thought my old saw cut ok until I make the first cut on the Makita and it soon became apparent it was so inferior. The accuracy in which this thing cuts is unbelievable and the finished cut surface is so smooth it looked like finished timber. Was perfect straight from the box without the need for any adjustments. Soft start motor so no sudden jolts, a braked blade so stops quickly coupled with (in comparison to my old saw) a much quieter motor makes for very enjoyable and easy use. Laser is a helpful feature in setting up with longer timber and the side rails make a big saw all that more compact. The only negative (but shows the quality) is it is VERY heavy so ... MoreI’ve jumped from a relatively inexpensive mitre saw to this beast and the difference is night and day. Fantastic daily mitre saw

Great mitre saw, I love using it in the workshop daily! Once setup it keeps producing accurate cuts and every adjustment feels solid and robust. Very well made. It’s pretty heavy but lives in my workshop permanently so I wouldn’t recommend it as a site saw to lug in and out of the van! Few small niggles - laser isn’t as good as the festool but I don’t really use it and it’s half the price so you’d expect some negatives. The other thing is the black side pull outs are non removable it seems, which is slightly annoying as mine is built into my workshop benches and when they are pushed it, they are about 1/2mm higher then the metal bed so can produce inaccurate cuts if not removed or pulled out all the way! Everything else on this is great, having previously used the ... MoreGreat mitre saw, I love using it in the workshop daily! This saw is leagues ahead of my previous one. Super accurate cuts out of the box. Checked blade was at 90° vertical and on full extension. One annoyance is the high fence doesn't sit flush with the lower fence so I added some tape to bring it level.

I purchased a Makita LS1019L 260mm 10" Double Bevel Slide Compound Mitre Saw with Laser.I'm Very pleased and impressed with my purchase, the saw is very precise very quiet quite compact for its size, there was little to none setting up the saw as its almost spot on straight from the factory.coupled with a dust extractor it is brilliant hardly any mess, having a soft start is a bonus no nasty grab at the blade, the laser is very useful slightly hard to see in bright sunlight but hey what laser is any good in bright sunlight, it can be used tight up to a wall with having fixed tubes for the saw to slide on great when your working in small rooms ect. all in all i love this new addition to my tool kit.I can highly recommend this saw you wont be dissapointed.

Had this a couple of weeks now and I'm gradually getting my shed/workshop of dreams together now that I've had to finish work through health issues but I'm determined to get back to my wood work and this saw fits against my back wall on the bench and unlike my old saw it doesn't need a great big space behind to use. Excellent quality and very accurate, cuts are smooth as can be.Best purchase I have made so far, can't recommend it enough.

I was unsure when buying due to the seemly low cut spec and odd size disc bore, But didn't want to being lifting the bigger saws in and out of the van every day.I can confirm it uses a 30mm bore disc and I've been cutting skirting boards stood up vertical. This saw has a great max cut for its size and should be mentioned in the spec Screwfix!Overall very happy with this superior saw, acurate cuts straight out of the box and surprisingly quiet. The dust extraction connected to a shop vac is incredible.Feels very solid in construction but relatively heavy.Particularly like the bevel lock being on the front of the slides.I will definitely recommend this saw to friends
